Simply an incredible talent. It's not even 'potential' anymore, the kid is already doing the job of an established player.
The latest goal. Goalkeeper should have saved it but good technique from Mbappe to make the goalie think he was going to cross it in instead of shooting.

It's actually not been a very good last couple of games for Mbappe. He has been wasteful and made some poor decisions throughout the game. What is reassuring is that despite that, he still contributed two assists and a goal in the games against Dijon and Anderlecht. Even in a form dip, he still has an impact and that's important for young players.
Despite PSG's performances in the CL so far, I'm concerned about their gameplan. It seems to me there is no cohesion outside of Mbappe and Neymar. Their midfield and defense is almost indistinguishable and there seems to be very little tactics outside of getting the ball up-front and let's see what happens. It's fine for the group stages and against a Bayern in chaos, but against the better teams I can see PSG getting ridiculed once again this year on the big stage if they don't improve. Really disappointed in Unai Emery's lack of imprint on this team thus far.

He definitely has the potential to reach the level of Maradona, Pele, Zidane, Messi, and Ronaldo, which is a level above "journalist's world class level".

Absolutely fine i would think. Neymar is Neymar, but I don't buy into the hype with the others just yet. They are playing training games so far. Let's wait until they get into the latter stages of the CL and play some real opposition.
The 9 of them would probably make it difficult for the three of them.

He's actually done really well so far from there, it's not a position he's unfamiliar with. The dynamic of their offense is working most of the time, even in such early stages. Besides, Mbappe drifts around the field, it's not as if Emery's got him under strict positional instructions.

It's 291 points for a maximum of 300, record of the golden boy award. I'm not sure how it's counted but there's usually points for more than top place in these kind of votes.
He is still a very young player. I didnt watch the match but not shocked he played poorly this is what happens with young footballers they are inconsistent.

In the history of the French league, I would even say Cavani is the 2nd greatest scorer. Papin was good but Cavani is a beast.
Also, let's compare the former star Pauleta with Cavani. You can see Pauleta doesn't jump.

To be fair to Neymar, I don't think Mbappe's diving any more than he always has, which is quite a bit when he's losing the ball trying to get past his man.
Also, maybe I'm in the wrong here, but I tend to agree with Mbappe. The referees in Ligue 1 are terrible, and this was one of the most important game of the season and there were some crucial mistakes made by the ref on acts that happened right in front of him. Just a little while ago, another referee sent off the wrong player; if it wasn't so terrible, it'd be funny how bad they are in this league. They should be held to a higher standard if the league is really looking to grow globally. I can't think of a single referee that stands out in that regard, and is capable of controlling a game without resorting to needless red cards to the detriment of the game itself.
But sadly the Neymar red card was fully deserves, when already on a yellow it is such a stupid thing to do.
I like what I've seen from Letexier so far. It's his first season and he's still very young but I can see him having a great refereeing career.

Actually he upset a lot of French fans recently for immature comments about the match against Marseille as well
He's been excellent and I think right wing is a good position for him.
Of course vultures are waiting for every opportunity and any reason to criticize him. Marseille away was his first real poor game for us.
That happens any pricey player though, it's the jealous nature of football. Like I said I haven't seen him/PSG play this year but at the start of the season I'd have swapped 10 Rashfords for him. The fact that they were mentioned in the same breath was hilarious.
Saying refs should be punished is laughable. Perhaps players can help refs perform better by stopping the constant flopping about and playacting and whining. No other pro sport where both teams are constantly trying to cheat and influence the officials.
