Madrid are being stupid here. Mbappe would fit perfectly in their squad and they have tons of money to spend.

This is probably Perez just talking crap though, there's no way they go into the season without getting a new forward.
 
Him and Neymar together would be absolutely lethal. PSG can sell some of Krychowiak, Di Maria, Lucas and Matuidi to generate funds and comply with FFP. Hell, if they can get Mbappe, they could probably let Cavani go and that's £50m or so from Milan or another side.

Remember that transfer fees get ammortized over the length of initial contract. Neymar signed for 5 years so that comes down to £40m a year plus wages. Mbappe could sign for £120m for 5 years and that's £24m a season. Wages they could cover long term by selling a few players here and there too. A club like PSG would not make these signings if they weren't absolutely certain that no CL ban was imminent.

I still don't see this happening though. If PSG are getting another forward, it'll be Sanchez.
 
Don't care where he goes. Just wish he would hurry up so other players are freed up and more talent is available. PSG may have to shift Lucas/ Draxler (and some other guy who's name I forget- Argentinian I think), Madrid may move Bale. I'd have happily have taken James from them but they did one of those 2 year continental loans to sell him for half his value so the fans don't notice.

Draxler is another player PSG might sell indeed.

Krychowiak £15m
Di Maria £40m
Cavani £50m
Draxler £50m

That's £155m recouped. Then you still have Lucas, probably valued north of £30m as well, and Aurier who could get them £25m as well. With Lo Celso, Nkunku, Rabiot and Guedes they seem to be going young anyway. It's not ideal to sell 5-6 players but when there is possibility of them being adequately replaced, it could work out just fine.

The version in the spanish press is that his father(a new Neymar Sr for them) wants him in Paris but he prefers Madrid.
He is french, and Paris would pay him 12m€ net.Very far from Madrid offer.
The chance of playing in his country and with Neymar can be very attractive, although I agree that Florentino should insist.
After seeing 1000 times Mbappé bedroom with Cristiano It would be disappointing not to sign him :D

Really?! He'll be 31 by the turn of the year. No doubt he'd command huge wages too given it'll be his last big paycheck. Regardless I don't see him leaving and definitely not for that sort of fee if he were to.

I'll be disappointed if Mbappe goes to PSG. It's another one I don't see happening but I suppose I'd rather him there than at Madrid, Barca or City. Also, why do I keep seeing City's hat in the ring for him and not ours? I know it means absolutely feck all and it's completely small time to get miffed about bullshit internet rumours but we're surely a better prospect than them?!

I guess it comes down to Pep. Forwards seem to prefer Pep over Jose. And also City don't seem to care about spending loads of money.

Would really like him to go PSG. If we aren't going to shake up the old guard, then I'd rather it be PSG. Plus Neymar could vindicate his move by winning the CL and forming a dynasty.

FFP has become a joke. The Qataris will just line up some sketchy merchandising deals worth hundreds of millions and, presto PSG, will be in compliance of FFP.

The only risk they run is if suddenly it's the European Commissioner for Competition, and not UEFA, that becomes interested in their activities.

He wasn't. Mbappé just hasn't played in a Euros yet, but what he has played, has been on a similar level to what Rooney was doing.
