At 120m i'm not Mfappe over Mbappe but kid looks good. If he had another season like he has had then i'd say worth it next year. But then there is the fear of missing out.
To be honest, who will get him at 120? United or Real. I would get him now, he has the goods.

However you look at it, all the kid has shown so far is simply potential. Mbappe scoring record in Europe is not much different from Kluivert at his age.

In fact Kluivert was a starter on the 1994 Ajax championship team at a younger age, scoring the only goal in the final against AC Milan. Yet he never lived up to the initial hype, and his career can only be said to have been just good at the end of it all.

Don't want, he's got such a hard on for Madrid then let him go there

He may well want to end up there, who knows, but this thing has been blown way out of proportion and his 'love for Real Madrid' seems to be growing day by day in the internet, and a lazy observer would be excused for not stopping to ask what the feck has he said that has confessed some 'massive love' for Real?

He had posters when he was 14? Is that it? Perhaps his live for Real is almost as big as Pogba's was this time last year.

Why are people talking about potential? He's doing it now at a high level. The guy is a natural talent and for someone who supposedly had a poor game, he was effortlessly pulling off some terrific stuff tonight. This being against probably the best defence in world football.
He has a maturity and intelligence beyond his years. He is a versatile, quick-thinking, off-the-cuff footballer as well as being strong, fast and a natural finisher.
This guy is the real deal and if we have the money, and could still get Griezmann, it's a gamble I'm completely behind.

120 mil? Had anyone heard of him before like, January? I certainly hadn't.
Great talent, but they can get lost.

Not at all. He's already producing.

Want want want. I'd send Martial and a shed lot of money to get him here.Seriously talented. Big, strong, fast and fair clinical for a 18year old. Wouldn't go far wrong spending big on him imo

It's only 20 months or so since you committed a bucket load on Martial, regarding whom similar plaudits were being lauded on here prior to signing. And now you want to ditch him already and spend even more (a lot more) on an 18 year-old who plays in a weak league, just like Martial did?

Such a continuing - rinse and repeat - direction for United's transfer policy won't bring the improvements you need.

Like he produced today against Juventus?
I thought he did decently considering what sort of defense he was up against. Even Messi and Neymar found it difficult against this defense. 95% of his career will be against far worse defenses than this Juve one.

Who Said anything about ditching? He rashford and Martial can happily play In the same team.

I am not faulting the kid, but it is when he can perform consistently against top opposition that he can be said to be producing. For now, he has done great for his age and shown the potential to be a great player. Whether he will develop into one is yet to be seen, but anyone paying 100m for him has to accept they are taking a huge gamble and I dont think united can afford that sort of gamble at this point.

Messi has never scored against juve. Does that mean he's rubbish too?

Once juve went 1-0 up it was going to be difficult as they shut off the space. He 1 half decent chance he hit the target with and made Buffon save it. Apart from that zero service.

Really don't understand why people are downplaying how good he is? Are people that much against spending money?

and whoever said the kid was rubbish? Messi status is not built on a single game but a body of work.
Anyone that thinks Mbappe is already producing needs to show evidence of him delivering the goods consistently against top oppositions.

This is him at 18 having a bad game against the best defence in the world. In the Champions League semi-final. Sorry the video seems a bit 'close in' but hopefully it gives an idea of how he played.

We will spend whatever necessary I have the feeling. The big question is, is he in fact interested in moving here?

I doubt he is. He seems cut from the Zidane/Ronaldo/Madrid cloth, which suggests that's precisely where he'll end up.

If he really wants to bum Ronaldo as much as it seems he does, he'll take the proper route. To United, then to Madrid for a record fee in a few years. :)

He is not what we need, we already have too many "kids": Rashford, Martial & Pereira. I would much rather we get a proven clinical striker 26-30 years old, and keep developing the talent we already have in our hands. 120m is too much to risk on a kid from a weak league. Memphis was showing "the goods" before coming here, but he never made it with us.

Hehe...or rather he will be in a hurry to get to Madrid before Ronnie retires so he can play with his idol.

I'd rather we get a 23 year old RVN type.

Hang on, I'm just reading about these crazy prices banded about for this kid. Has the (football) world gone absolutely insane?

Granted he seems like a great talent but come on... he's a young kid that hasn't proven much on the big stage and yet he could be the world's most expensive player in a few weeks?

What the hell is going on?! I really hope we don't pay anywhere near 100m for this kid. As good as he might be.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if Bellotti is remotely as good as RvN was.

Well, even Ruud himself at 25 was a risk when we signed him. His knee injuries and the fact that his only goalscoring exploits were in the Dutch league surely made a lot of people pleasantly surprised that he was even remotely as good as the likes of Andy Cole and Sheringham.

Nothing really, at this point. With the TV money coming into circulation, I'm not surprised. I mean championship players are nearly going for £20 million. It's fecking absurd, but not really if you think about it.

Its pretty logical that as Benzema fizzles out, Perez will go for Mbappe as a replacement. Madrid have an iconic French player managing them and his idol happens to be Madrid's star player.

Mbappe was one of the shining light in what you would refer to a downer performance by Monaco. He had good chances but then again, he was coming against Buffon (safest pair of hands in the world).

With that being said, he's definitely got all the attributes to succeed in any league. He wasn't bothered by the occasion. He made intelligent runs and tried scoring but just wasn't his day.

Do not want. And luckily, he probably does not want us either unless Madrid and maybe a few other clubs aren't interested.

We should put in a bid for him, just enough to make sure Madrid don't steal him. But let them take him.

I'd not heard of him until a few months ago but my question is if he's worth circa €120 then how much is Rashford worth, similar age and seemingly leading the line for us, knowing us we'd sell him for €10m.
