Kylian Mbappé joins PSG on one year loan with option to buy

I still prefer last year's Martial to this year's Mbappe. This is not because Martial plays for us but just because he has an extra yard of pace and far better dribbling ability. Mbappe is very good though. His biggest assets being his off the ball movement and finishing. I actually can't stop admiring how he makes those subtle movements to find a whole lot of space for himself to run into. But we have no idea how he's going to kick on after this season.

One thing is for sure though, he will completely regress if he doesn't play full 90 minutes for majority of the season next year. Best thing for his career is to spend next 2-3 years at Monaco and work on developing his all round game, and perhaps a better celebration. There is no point of buying a player like him and then shunting him out wide and asking him to track back. This is the reason why I highly doubt we will ever be in for him.

He is trusted but he isn't a guaranteed starter. By the way he sulks when he doesn't start.
Bad combo for Caftards, they'd want him gone as soon as the body language experts conclude he has a mood. Talks of selling him won't take long after that.

this for me. Mbappe has some very smart movement and great finishing. But I prefer to watch and get more excited about Martial. Just hope Martial can learn better off the ball movement and get back in JMs good graces.

Until he joins us at which point he becomes distinctly Bronze.

Dont know about that, could happen with Griezmann too. I watched them both regularly in the last few weeks, but Mbappe just gets me more excited.

What's up with his celebration? It looks like his covering his nipples.

I'm presuming people are already singing a Hanson based song in the stands for this guy? If not, we need to buy him just so we can.

That's 1 game. I'm talking about a whole season. Do you mean Mourinho's going to use the same offensive players instead of Ibrahimovic the remaining games?

I have no idea, I wasn't expressing an opinion, simply asking a question based on your ITK knowledge of whom Jose will or won't play.

While I love Martial, that's exactly what we want from a striker. That is a sign of a quality player.

But we don't play two striker system like Monaco and I would be surprised if we play Mbappe as our main striker. If he's going to find himself on the left side, tracking back then we might as well stick with what we have.

Jose loves Rashford, if we get Mbappe I wouldn't be surprised if we moved to a two striker system. I believe we're either going to go for one of Griezmann or Mbappe, whichever one we get will determine how we move forward with tactics etc.

Why play with 2 strikers, why not 3? With the right midfield behind them, I am thinking of Martial, Rashford and Mbappe front 3. They can drift wide and also play through the middle. That would be a devastating front line.

Might be kneejerk but the way Rashford is playing when given chances as striker, I don't think we need another young striker.

I liked how Mbappe played against City and Dortmund but I think we can make good use of the money buying proper support than another young striker.

I've never seen him score a genuinely good goal. I'm sure he has, but I've somehow just managed to see a lot of tap-ins and rebounds. There's more to the hype than that, right?

It would theoretically work with Rashford and Mbappe and potentially martial there but would Mourinho go into a season with rookie striking partnership as first choice?

Greizmann sounds a lot more realistic to me.

He's usually very very quick in making decisions that in turn makes the finishes looked too easy.

Going from past experiences with Jose, no, but as we've seen this season he's happy to change his ways if he thinks it's necessary. So if he really is as 'bewitched' as was claimed, it's possible. Griezmann does look the more likely though.

There's that one on one finesse he rocketed into the top corner last Wednesday but other than that I agree with you. It's more the frequency he gets into those positions and the work he does on and off the ball in the final third. He's lightning quick, strong and tenacious and combined with his bloodhound nose for a goal it makes him leathal.

I think some people are forgetting that we have this player called Henrikh Mkhitaryan and he's very productive so not playing him would be quite silly.

Apples and oranges.

Isn't that a good thing in a way, i don't think RVN scored many good goals in his career, while lingard already has a few to his name, yet i think we can both agree that it isn't lingard that would be picked week in week out if choice was out of those two, our problem this season has not been not scoring good goals, it is not scoring the easy tap ins that has cost us, personally i hope he stays at monaco for another season, it will help him develop and assuage a lot of the doubts whether he can maintain the level he is at or not, not to mention by next season we will know for sure whether either or both of martial and rashford can cut it here.

Think we will only try to get Mbappe if Jose has decided to flog Martial off. Don't think we will see Mbappe and Martial in the same side.

It will be

Mbappe/Martial --- Rashford --- Micky
-------------------Griezmann-----------

Think that would be a scary prospect for any opposition. No harm in having one of these guys on the bench to rotate as look at the quality Madrid have on the bench. We'd also have Mata and Zlatan if he stays.

I doubt either of them would be happy with that.
