Just don't understand where he plays. From the little I've seen him off he'd be at his best off the left or up top and both those spots have better players than him at PSG. Seems like a waste to buy him and play out on the right.

Because they still get the fee, just not right away as long as there's an obligation for PSG to buy after the year loan. Monaco may even get a few million more for allowing it.
What's the actual point of FFP ? It's such a pointless thing when there's either clearly countless loopholes or they basically don't give a feck.

The hype on this kid is well deserved. I can only remember Rooney, Messi and C.Ronaldo performing this well at 18 years old. I wonder if they would be interested in getting Martial back and selling him to United.
I don't agree with selling to a rival, but clearly both players want to join PSG over other clubs. Maybe Monaco feel like they can replace adequately with the simply ridiculous money PSG are offering. Also on Mbappe, he's only got 2 years left on his contract and he's not signing a new contract so this summer is really the best for them to get a fee they want.

Martial dribbling with the ball is a little bit similar to Henry, but getting into space without the ball and finishing, Mbappe is very similar to Henry.
It's similar to when Pjanic moved to Juve from Roma who I think were a close challenge at the time with an excellent midfield. Clubs in other leagues aren't as bothered about selling to each other often for cheaper prices. Seems weird to English fans why they'd neglect bigger fees abroad my guess is it's some sort of gentleman's agreement to sell other players down the line at reasonable prices. Over here we want them as far shot of the league as possible mainly although that might start decreasing I think.
MBappe is to play forward. I haven't watched Neymar plays for PSG, but I believe he would drift central alot like with Brazil NT than Barcelona. It would be more like 2 forward and a playmaker behind than 3 forwards formation. MBappe's mobility and he is not one dimensional in his approach so there shouldn't be any problem.

As I alluded to 1 week ago in this thread Monaco would benefit from having the fee delayed for fiscal reasons. The only tax in Monaco being 30% of the benefits, they could have the fee spread over the next years and insure them against any trouble for a while instead of seeing it paid upfront and lose €50m of it right away.
They already have over €100m available from previous sales to recruit replacements anyway.
Or maybe Cavani is just that good? He was top scorer for Seria A. Is that league piss poor too? He'd get 25+ goals on his day in any league he plays in.

What I don't understand about the rumors of a loan with a buy option (or necessity rather) at the end of the loan is that Mbappe would still be on his Monaco contract at that point, no? And that contract expires at the end of the season, so he wouldn't even necessarily have to go to PSG at that point. I may be completely off-the-mark, but I thought that loan deals worked based on the current contract of the player with no re-negotiations for salary and such.

Either way, hand it to their fans - I'd take the same approach if it were my club, a big reason I wanted to see Barcelona cash in on Neymar now. This sort of valuation of players cannot possibly continue and while Kylian is a terrific talent - it's a ridiculous sum of money being discussed.

What I like about PSG is that they told Barca to feck off with regards to Veratti and steal your hottest property(Messi replacement) and now about to steal the current flavour of the month from Real's grasp. Essentially a big feck you Spain.
As we've seen with Pogba last season, things are about to change. Real and Barca will always have that certain pull, the glamour and prestige, but you are not the only ones who can pay the most anymore.

Skewed due to having the GOAT & best striker in world football, still no galactico policy. Players who are attracted to Barcelona come here and even take less money as we saw with both Neymar & Alexis Sanchez.

Bull.crap. You got neymar by offering him more through his dad. But even if that was true, you still offered them huge money. And the wage bill isn't particularly inflated by Messi. Take out his wages, and you're paying as much to the first team as us.
Barcelona historically spent loads of money on great players. The Messi-Xavi-Iniesta really was the only great generation that came through the academy. At every other point, your great teams were built on obscene amounts of money spent on transfers, on top of the huge wages. And your wage bill has been massive for decades now
