I get what you’re saying, but I also understand how fast you can squeeze off rounds on an AR.

Trained people can even lose trigger discipline in tense situations and fire more rounds than they thought they did.
It's nuts that a 17 year old can have access to that shit

Or when you're a little too quick and end up not sure if the sear is still intact. :nervous:

Have you played hockey, or ice hockey? It's a fast game

Yes, and I played goalie in roller hockey (I grew up in SoCal, no ice rinks anywhere!). Also in football I played goalie as well. I have no doubt that shots come in thick and fast, but there is no physical way you could face 3, let alone 4 shots in less than one second. Hell, 2 would be challenging even if the clock started once the first shot hit you. Anyways, this is my last post on this. If you want to discuss magical puck theory start a new thread.

I played national league here and in EuroHockey games.

Part of the trigger that holds the hammer / striker back so it doesn’t continue to fall onto bullet primers.

You can file it down to illegally make a gun fully automatic.
I'm sorry, you're country is fecked. Can't you just keep the guns in gun clubs?

Well if you get caught doing that you are in deeeeeep shit. But any gun anywhere can have a filed sear if someone wants to be so bold.

What @Dwazza Gunnar Solskjær was joking about is sometimes you can squeeze off a few so fast that you think the sear might have broken. It is a tiny little part of a trigger mechanism.

I'm 43 years of age in a few weeks, started shooting when I was 8.

Only an American could provide this level of education to me.

It's ridiculous timing, only comprable to the old days when you picked up the phone to dial your friend and they were already on the line.

That's scary though, how easily it could go wrong.

I've got no issue with you guys playing with guns, but there's a time and place, and that's definitely not when you're 17 and in the middle of a riot

Oh yeah, lots of folks have messed with the sear to their own detriment. Trying to make a easier trigger pull, do too much, then blow their own thigh off.

It’s best not to mess with that little fella.
How is this shit available to children?!

TBF mate, I think we're all in broad agreement.

But one thing is clear, if you want to cosplay being a special forces operator in real life, and kill a few dudes, the US is the place to do it.

Once this lad gets off, I can see it being advertised as an affordable weekend break.

It's like you guys are living in the Purge.

I thought the East settled the Wild West, seems like the Wild West settled the East

It will definitely become standard operating guidelines for the proud boys and other home grown militia types.

He didn’t buy it himself.

And not to get it confused… his trigger sear wasn’t tampered with. 4 shots in 1 second is nothing compared to full auto. Full auto is at around 10-12 per second:
So who bought the child the lethal weapon?

It sounds like he chose to shoot 4 times. Full auto hitting someone 4 times I could understand

I live in Ireland mate, say you want a weapon for home protection here and you'd probably be locked up.

17 year old, unaccompanied, with a rifle? The parents would more than likely be prosecuted.

But it's the US we're talking about. Land of the free, racist, and heavily armed, as long as you're not on your way to shoot up a kindergarten you're good, and even if you are they'll probably find an excuse for you.

Which is why the wife and I are discussing the possibility of retiring to Ireland, if not long before.
