Kevin-Prince Boateng - anyone seen him play?

His goal last night was superb.

Absolute belter... as Desailly would say, they'd have been dancing on the streets of Ghana after that one.

Seriously though, it's cliche... but if Messi/Ronaldo had scored that...

Genius bit of flair but shocked to see Abidal and Valdes so easily beaten, not that they necessarily could've done anything to stop it but it always makes it that bit less impressive when they're not even close.

and to think this guy was at portsmouth a couple or few years ago. Just shows what happens when you move to a good club

He always had the talent. That was clear to see at Pompey. I still have doubts about his mentality though.

That heel chop that he did was completely unnecessary though.. He could've just taken it around Abidal. The first touch was absolutely amazing though, just like the first touch for one of the goals he scored previously in the group stage.

The heel chop was important, it was sudden and it surprised Abidal who isn't an easy defender to go past in 1v1s.
Great improvisation from Boateng

I've just seen the video on youtube and I disagree. The ball fell outside his left foot. He either had to roll his body to bring it in or do what he did. If anything it was an excellent piece of improvisation that meant he could maintain his momentum.

I haven't seen much of him, but whenever I see goal clips from CL games and whatnot they always seem to be screamers or brilliantly taken goals.

I watched most of Milan's games last season, and Boateng deserves a lot of credit for taking them over the finish line. He didn't play much early in the season, but once they worked him into midfield he was easily the most dominating presence there.

Pirlo was probably more influential, running the offense, but Boateng made sure they controlled the midfield with his endless running. He's very big and very fast, unlike everyone else for Milan, they were sluggish without him.

The funny thing was that Milan starting playing him as a trequartista in a 4312, at first when they had injury problems, but he did so well there they persisted in it. It had been Robinho who was playing the trequartista role, but he moved up front when Pato was out, I believe. Boateng scored quite a few goals late in the season, and showed surprising passing touch in the final third.

I doubt Milan would let him go, he's just about their only played under 30, but then he might get bored there, that team is getting stagnant.

Eh? It was the only way he could have maintained his balance as well as movement towards goal. You've obviously never played football before if you think it was unnecessary..it was the right bit of improvisation at the right time.

Seems like it was a select group in the corner? Disgraceful either way. Smane he didn't manage to actually hit them with the kick.

He applauds the fans that are clapping him for walking off. Same old. Idiots ruin it for everyone else.
