Kevin-Prince Boateng - anyone seen him play?

What's so strange? Happens quite often in Italy, does it not?

Marco Motta left Roma this summer to go to Udinese, and then immediately went on loan to Juventus.

It's just different because of the ownership rights rules of there compared to here.

How did this player went from failing to establish himself in Portsmouth and Spurs to being a regular for AC Milan? Any insights?

Was good at Portsmouth. Tottenham didn't let him play. They often buy midfielders who barely play, are loaned out and then sold or leave for free.

Milan saw a bargain and took it. Imagine Genoa made a good amount from him.

cost €8 million this summer from Genoa. A weird deal. Genoa bought him last summer then immediately loaned him to Milan, who then claimed it was a co-ownership before buying him outright earlier this summer.

He did establish himself at Portsmouth, started over half of their league games despite having an injury that kept him out for two months.

Milan coming from 3 behind to win...and KPB, at Portsmouth he looked like he had a little something about him...but then he had a decent world cup, moved to Milan and looks a completely different player.

From relegation to Seria A winner.

Watched his last game with Milan...excellent hattrick to win the game.

Always looked a player capable of doing something special, but i think it's more a case of Italy and Milan being the perfect fit for him. Doubt he will move now that he's found a home with the Rossoneri.

Isn't he basically just a slightly more mature (1 year older) version of Anderson?

He is better in so many ways.

Passing
Heading
Tackling
Shooting

Not to sound all championship Manager here but apart from his temperament and needing to be a little more consistent I don;t see many faults. The main thing I like about him is his fight though. Forget all his ability, he hates to lose and you can see that in th eway he plays. I don;t think we have someone who can stamp their authority on a game from midfield and he could be it. Of course the transfer will probably never happen but we could do a whole lot worse than this fella.

I concur...he's ahead of Anderson on every metric and from what i'v seen he's on the cusp of getting that consistency which a lot of scout have mentioned is lacking in his game. Again, I think it's more to do with him finding a home with Milan then anything else. Also his performance at the last WC which seems to have given him a lot of confidence.

He was excellent at the World Cup, everyone forgot they didn't have Essien because he was putting shift that more than made up for it.

It's simply called maturity. It happens to player at different stages. I mean, remember Nani 1 and half years ago.

Genoa really sold him cheaply off to Milan as soon as they got him. They got a profit though like we did with Obi Mikel.

He was very good his last season at Portsmouth. Getting into a better side and winning more games has helped him a lot instead of the endless frustration.

Being at Pompey made a man of him. It taught him what was important.

Well yes, sort of, but he would still be the same if he'd gone to Blackburn or Wigan. You have to have the winning mentality as well. Similar with Young, although not really since he's never had that kind of temper or childishness to him. Similar in the way they stepped up.

In other words:

Kevin Prince-Boateng doesn't want to play in the ACN this season.

I'm sure he'll make a "sensational comeback" by the time the next World Cup rolls around.

He'd certainly be more dangerous up front than what our midfielders offer. I don't know if he'd improve it though considering the way we play.
