Kevin-Prince Boateng - anyone seen him play?

yes Aogo and Ede in particular ;) no seriously they do have the likes of Kroos, özil, Marin, the Boayeng brothers, Tasci, Tyrala and Ben Hatira...all very talented.

Agree, Ben Hatira, and Ozil have impressed me, as have Castro and Polanski. Boesnich looks like he could be a good defender too.

According to youself, that's 8 plus Murphy, Routlege and the two in reserves, whoever they are.

That's 12 isn't it??
As I've already said, midfielders from the reserves don't count or else the whole discussion gets ridiculous.

Murphy is being sold, as may well be Routledge. So that'll leave us with 8, or 9 if Routledge isn't sold. Either way it's less than Uniteds TEN, which leaves your original jibe looking a bit silly.

forgot about him as he is considered a senior squad player. there is also Gomez and Khedira (both stuttgart). Polanski is decent.

O'Shea's a defender.

United are likely to play with 5 midfielders.

The United official website lists O'Shea as a 'Defender/Midfielder'.

Whether or not you choose to play with 5 midfielders doesn't change the fact that United are likely to start the season with as least as many (and probably more) midfielders as Spurs.

Nothing wrong with that of course, it's just that an earlier poster seemed to imagine that Spurs had a crazy amount of midfielders, when in fact we'll probably start the season with 8 (or maybe 9).

Is this lad going back to Spurs next year?

Good player. Great Tekkers.

Just missed a pen like, but still.

I wouldn't mind him, he'd be cheap if he was Pompey's.

He was immense against us at Fratton Park this year. If he can go to a big club and replicate that kind of performance then he could be a brilliant player. He's two footed, reasonably quick, great awareness. Needs to play the percentage a bit more but you can say that about a lot of young attacking players.

He's obviously talented but he's basically just a less good version of Nani.

Coming from Portsmouth he would be great value though.

Got great technique. Especially when striking the ball. Needs to build on his temperament. I think he is a Fulham maybe Villa level player

He's not even close to Nani. He's not got his pace, can't cross as well, lesser agility and not even close when it comes to tricks. Packs quite a shot, too bad he can't hit the target.

He tries lots of difficult things and now and then they come off. Probably more often than ever before in this world cup.

His attitude is the only thing that lets him down i reckon, he could be a very good player by his late 20's once he's matured some what.

Talented kid, but we don't need him. He could do a good job for a lot of Prem clubs though.

Read somewhere someone offered £5 mill for KPB & Belhadj, Pompey want double that. £7-8 mill would probably get them both...good deal.
