His performances at the Euros still account for roughly 10% of his entire career. Still time to come good, but worth remember judging youth of a season of games is incredibly perilous.

That's it for midfielders n our first team squad (assuming Pereira comes back from his loan).

Pogba and Herrera are the sort of quality we need.

Carrick is ageing, and will most likely leave in the summer. Even then, we shouldn't be relying on him.

Fosu-Mensah is unproven at this level, but is fine fighting it out with Pereira for game time.

Fellaini is ok as a squad player, but he should never be starting, and I'd be happy enough selling and giving Mensah and Pereira his game time.

I think we need another midfielder

In an ideal world Fabinho or someone like Eric Dier. That would give us Pogba/Herrera/Fabinho to rotate for the two deeper midfield positions, and Mensah/Pereira to cover. In some games we will undoubtably play a 3 as well.

I really think we need to replace Carrick this summer. We should look for a really world class CDM to replace him with, one who can create as well as defend. I'd also hope we keep an eye on Renato Sanches. He's not enjoying life at Bayern, his agent is Mendes too. Maybe not this window, but I really would like to see him as our Fellaini replacement.

Looks pretty weak to me considering we belong to the elite group of clubs. We really need to upgrade that midfield quickly. Where is Mata?

Mata is a 10, he's best used as a 10. I suspect if Greizman comes in, he'll have to get used to life as the backup 10. He's still a very good player to have for us. I just don't think we should shunt him into central midfield.
 
Midfield needs serious investment. Fellaini isn't up it and there's nothing to say Perreira pen TFM will be able to cut it and we need to be challenging next season.

I'd be looking to bring 2 (min) maybe new faces in next season, with Fellaini being sold.
 
Get Fabinho for midfield and Valencia backup.

A second squadie would be useful but not mission critical with Pereira returning.

A CB upgrade and replacement of Jones/Smalling + striker are higher priorities once we get Fabinho.
 
We should sign tilemans this summer before any other team, really had a good game against us .
