Djibril Cisse > Benzema? I think not.

Domenech is a complete and utter muppet - if he can manage a national team, then so can I.

Blanc to be French national manager after the WC.

And you'd both be as bad as each other.

Benzema should be nowhere near the World Cup based on his current form. You can't just pick players on name alone.

Well Saha > Cisse.

Cisse has never shown anything on a European level, never mind a world level. He shouldn't be any where near the squad.

Benzema is a funny guy, lying to himself that he has made the right move, something he clearly has not. He says he will stay for Real for life, but will Real have him, probably not. They will offload him if they get a okay bid.

Pretty perplexed by some of the World Cup 30 man choices, surely Benzema is worthy of a spot in the 30. Saha too was brillant for Everton this year.

Disagree. Performences matter, Benzema wont hit top form this summer, hopefully this experience teaches him that he has to change clubs and that he takes us into consideration again because Benzema has the skill set we could need in Rooney's partner.

If I remember correctly, Benzema started off his season at Madrid fairly strongly. Then, he just died.

Domenech is nuts not to include Benz in the French squad. He can be such an influential player for France. A boy of such talent to not play in the WC is just a shame. I wonder which fecking astrologer he went to see or what did one of his cards say?

I think Huntelaar would do better and fit better at United than Benzema would.

Ignorance. I completely disagree. Benzema is better than Huntelaar in every department except maybe finishing, but Benz has time on his hands to improve that as well.

You have to ask yourself if you'd pick the lad even though he's played so little football this year? Potential can only take you so far.

I realise Domenech's a bit of a fecknut, but I can understand why he's left him out. For all Benzema's undoubted talent, he's not exactly a Rooney, who gives you no choice but to pick him. Benzema seems to lack something (which I'd attribute to mental strength) that is clearly holding him back.

You look at Real prior to this season and see them signing two of the most talented players in the world (Ronaldo and Benzema). Above all the talent, you need to possess a drive and determination to reach the top of your game and constantly improve. Ronaldo has that in abundance (so does Rooney). Benzema on the other hand doesn't. Without stating the obvious, he needs to have a manager like Ferguson overseeing his development.

Shouldn't that be Kaka and Ronaldo!? Benzema is not in the same bracket of proven talent as these two players!

Other than that, totally agree - Benzema needs to get his head screwed on, sharpish.

Think about that for a while. Different players have different attributes, different squads need different things.

You've missed the point completely, Kaka has nothing to do with it as I was comparing players for the reasons below;

Ronaldo and Benzema are relatively close in age (I think two years separate them) with both possessing undoubted talent which at a young age meant they had the world at their feet.

One of them continues to improve every week and seems to want to make the most of what he has at the same time as making everything possible for him, whilst the other appears to be taking backward steps and seems relatively carefree about he situation he finds himself in.

Ronaldo hasn't got better since he left us, at all.

But yes, he's in a different class entirely to Benzema.

Ronaldo hasn't got better since he left us, at all.

So at 25 years old he's not improved his game over the last year.

He doesn't want to make the most of the talent he has and be the best that he can.

He has accepted what he has and doesn't strive to improve week on week.

In the five or so years he was at United he undoubtedly improved every season but now he's at Real he's stagnated.

Just because Benzema isn't making the starting 11 at Real doesn't mean he's shit. The coach just prefers Higuain who is on the peak of his form and you couldn't ask for more than he has done for the last 2 seasons. Higuain's finishing has been immense and has put away so many goals this season.... but at the start of the season he was finding it hard to score.. Benzema was injured and Higuain's top form kept him out of the team, also tactic wise Real prefer a 1 striker formation with Kaka' and Ronaldo either a free role so I mean blaming Benzema for not having playing time has nothing to do with the player, its mostly due to their tactics and Higuains top form so come on lads... Stop this foolishness.

Laugh away, I genuinely don't think he's improved since he left us.

Maybe he will, only God knows, but right now - no.

I don't know if Ronaldo has got better, but he has shown the same quality he did in 07-8 which means he is one of the best players in the world,1a or 1b that is, and there can be not a single doubt about 33 goals in 34 games is an astounding return

Ronaldo hasn't got better since he left us, at all.

Difficult to judge, since he is right at the peak, and among the best 2 players in the world right now.
But this season his form is an improvement from last season, that's for sure.

'I love them all': Underage prostitute who slept with Franck Ribery and two other French football stars breaks her silence

Scandal: Zahia Dehar, who is not facing charges, told French officers that she had £2,000-a-night sex with three French football players but claims they treated her with 'utter respect'. The teenage call girl accused of sleeping with at least three French football stars when she was underage today broke her silence over the scandal announcing: ‘I loved them all’.
Zahia Dehar, now 18, said she was ‘shocked’ that the players were facing up to three years in prison for the crime.

She said that Franck Ribery, 27, Karim Benzema, 22, and Sidney Govou, 30, had all treated her ‘with utter respect’ and should be left alone.
It came as provocative pictures of the would-be model were released in Paris.
Ribery, believed to be a £40 million target for Chelsea, flew the young French Moroccan to a hotel in Germany, where he is currently a winger for Bayern Munich, last Spring.

He is then said by police to have paid her up to £2,000 for sex – something he continued to do back in France. Miss Dehar was one of 18 girls quizzed during a police raid on the Café Zaman, a notorious brothel on the Champs Elysee, last week. She has told vice squad officers that she had £2,000-a-night sex with all three players.

Prostitution is legal in France, but those selling sex must be over 18.
Miss Dehar, who lives in Paris, even celebrated her 18th birthday with Ribery – many months after their relationship started. Ribery – who was sent off for a horror tackle last night playing in the Champions League semi-final against Lyon – told examining magistrates that he ‘saw the girl over a number of months in 2009’.

Professional: Miss Dehar started working as a prostitute in March 2008 and was making up to £20,000 a month sleeping with wide range of rich clients, especially multi-millionaire footballers

Party girl: Dressed up as a 'pilot' and posing with a bottle of champagne
If found guilty the Muslim convert* faces a maximum of three years in prison and a fine of up to £40,000.
‘Judge Andre Dando has yet to decide if Ribery is to be prosecuted but it remains a possibility,’ said a judicial source in Paris.*

Bad to worse: All eyes were on Franck Ribery last night as his Bayern Munich side took on Lyon in the Champions League semi-final first leg - and he managed to get himself sent off
‘Ribery has admitted having sexual erelationship with the girl over several months, but denies knowing she was underage. He could be in very serious trouble at the worst possible time in his career.
‘The same goes for the other players if they are found to have been knowingly sleeping with an underage prostitute.’
Ribery is hoping to star in this summer’s World Cup finals in South Africa, and is also contemplating a lucrative move from Bayern Munich, to England, Spain or Italy. He and the other three players were summoned to appear before Judge Dando after the swoop on the Zaman. It has now been shut by the authorities.

A man known as 'Abou' from a hit French reality TV show was questioned about his alleged role in acting as a 'pimp' to introduce players to the girls.
Ribery — bought by Bayern for* £25million in 2007 — converted to Islam to marry his French Algerian wife Wahiba. The couple have two daughters.
Govou, a winger with Lyon, is single but has a five-year-old daughter with his ex-girlfriend, Pascale. The two men will meet in the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday in Munich. Benzema, who plays for Real Madrid and is a target for Manchester United, is believed to be single.

Despite the new revelations, Sophie Bottai, Ribery's lawyer, continued to deny that her client had slept with the girl. ‘This affair does not concern my client and could only, in the worst case, involve his private life alone,’ she said. Lawyers for Govou, and Benzema also deny any wrongdoing.

Show of support: Riberty's wife Wahiba, right, was at the game at the Allianz Arena in Munich to watch her husband. While international players for teams like England have frequently been involved in scandals involving sex and alcohol, this is the first time that the French have been connected with widespread sleaze allegations. France was widely criticised last year for the way they qualified for the World Cup.

Thierry Henry, the former Arsenal star, was alleged to have handled the ball which set up a goal against Ireland which secured the draw France needed to go to South Africa, where the competition starts in June.

Outgoing: Miss Dehar celebrated her 18th birthday with France's Franck Ribery

Denial: Ribery's team-mates, Karim Benzema of Real Madrid, pictured training today left, and Sidney Govou, who plays for Lyon.* Both deny any wrongdoing
Zahia Dehar celebrated her 18th birthday on February 28th this year. A picture taken on the day shows her celebrating it with Ribery.
According to police files, Miss Dehar started working as a prostitute in March 2008. She was making up to £20,000 a month sleeping with wide range of rich clients, especially multi-millionaire footballers.
They would fly her to destinations like Dubai, putting her up in five star hotels. She is also known to have attended European Cup football ties involving English clubs.
Detectives said Miss Dehar has cooperated fully with their enquiries, and did not face criminal charges herself.*

Notorious: Miss Dehar was one of 18 girls quizzed during a police raid on the Café Zaman, a brothel on the Champs Elysee that has now been closed, last week. She is currently staying with friends in Paris.* Despite the scandal, indications are that Ribery’s wife will stand by him. She has told his club that she will attend tonight’s European Cup tie against Lyon.
Miss Dehar told police: ‘I slept with the men, but I wasn’t truthful about my age.

‘I loved them all. They treated me with utter respect and should be left alone. They spoiled me, and looked after me. They were my men.’
Govou is said to have told detectives that ‘I was very surprised when she asked me for money.’

Shux she is pretty HOT!

(apologies if this is quite old, I just checked the date now. A buddy only emailed it off now to show us the girl.)

Odd bump! Especially considering its in the Transfer forum..

Raul should feck off to allow this lad to get more chances

That pretty much sums up a Madrid fan. Tell one of three players at the club, one of the most respected footballers of his generations and one of the club and countries great to feck off. Classy.

I'm not a Madrid Fan cabron! But yes he's gash, should have retired along time ago or left to a club that suits his ability not stay in the starting 11 for so many years, but I'm sure his wages convinced him otherwise, extremey classy.

Zidane retiring when he knew he was not at his best so the club could move on and get new signings= Classy, the very definition of it, putting his club first.

How many players got to suffer cause of Raul, I wonder what the real reason is Villa never went Madrid. Hmmmmmmm

That's asinine. He had a great season last season. There's no way he's hindering Benzema's entrance to the squad. Benzema didn't start well, didn't really have one good game all season and he played way more than Raúl did. Most of Raúl's performances were off the bench. Couple of minutes here and there. He's not even used as a forward anymore.

Couldn't the same argument be for Scholes? Isn't he just hindering other players from playing? Or Neville?

Don't compare Scholes and Neville to this lad, Scholes is lightyears ahead in ability and Sir Alex has to talk him out of retirement, Neville still does a great job and doesn't play in a position that hinders the forward line and slows down the whole team. Effectively making it look like they are playing with 10men.

There was matches Raul will come on before Benzema or the Benz taken off first, but why? It's not because Raul is actualy doing anything to help the team, he's one of the most invisible players out there. LaLiga is cleary too fast for the dude, and don't get me started on Europe so why is he still there? You sure those huge wages has nothing to do with it?

All I know is, Jose said about everyone of his players that it is the team that matters, but when the topic came of Raul, his tone somewhat changed, he said that he has to respect Raul and what he is to Madrid which conveys to me that once again it has nothing to do with his ability. It's as if he has some huge background influence in the club, if he puts the club first surely it can't be this way? It has nothing to do with football, him and Perez represent everything which is wrong with it.

Only reason he became a sub last season was because of that Alcoron defeat where the coach did the unthinkable and finally dropped him (even if that did entitle the embrassing charade of having to bring him on in every match no matter the circumstances, Higuain on a hatrick, losing to a big team etc, I'm sure when he came on in El Clasico before Benzema, Pique was shaking in his boots at the force that is Raul)

Originally it was Higuain benching for him, despite having an amazing season the year before. Imagine if they didn't lose to Alcoron, Higuain would have continued to be shafted and slow ass Raul wouldn't have said shit.

He gets brought on in big games, not to get them out of tight situations but because he's Raul. It was like the coach had his hand forced to bring him on, it didn't add up. Like how he brought him on in the Nou Camp which ended his counter attacking game.

This sort of treatment would never happen with our legends, they are used because we all know they have the ability to do something to help the team. Raul ain't been good for years but has been in the starting 11 every season.

He's a motherfecker, a well respected motherfecker.

He's gash and has been so for years, best thing Spain ever did was ditch his slow ass and move on to great things without him. A shame Madrid couldn't do the same but since when has that clown club been about football. If Villa does the business for Barca and they win the league/CL it would be the biggest sucker punch in a long time.

I take it that you are not his biggest fan anymore? You didn't really make that clear in your otherwise excellent synopsis above.
