I wasn't talking about West in particular (it's clear he has a feck load of mental issues), moreso the poster's generalisation about the super rich being batshit crazy out of boredom. The kind of ostentatious flaunting of wealth and endless public attention whoring he spoke of are more prevalent in more 'new money' societies like the US, Middle East and some Asian countries, where its more socially permissible to act like a knob due to your wealth and they internalised that as they grew up (and even within those there are people who remain low profile despite hoarding Scrooge McDuck level of wealth like Gates, Buffet, the Korean chaebols etc).
Theres an interesting documentary on Youtube about the life of the European (German, to be exact) super rich, and they blend in effortlessly in general society even outside of their gated community or social setting. Now compare that with Bezos and Musk giant space dick swinging contest, for instance.
