Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

I always thought he would walk when it got this bad, but I think he’s far too up his own arse to do that.

Might have something to do with the amount of money you've spent since 2013? United should've done much better than they have in the post-Fergie era when you look at the money spent by the club.

We haven't had a single top manager until now. All were either past their best or simply not good enough to manage the club.

Sack their best manager since Bob Paisley? I doubt it. Question now is whether Klopp can build another title-winning side from the ground up.
I hope Liverpool fall into this trap. Say what you want about them but they aren’t 10th material. They’re slipping into the easy trap of thinking the team has slipped and the manager is above it. Imo this team does a lot better under a different manager.
United last year v this season is the best example of this.
It’s like giving Rangnick the keys to the rebuild over Ten Hag if Rangnick had any sort of clout. You’d probably have seen us 6th with 50 percent of the players we have performing well now while telling ourselves it’ll be another 18 months before we really see the team flourish

What managers at this level ever actually walk? it's like the swap deal rumours in the transfer market. Never happens.

Klopp did leave Mainz and Dortmund before, he was never sacked. So it would fit his career, which isn't a typical manager career anyway.

By this logic you and Chelsea should be a lot higher than what is it 9th and 10th. Bought an expensive striker in the summer and outspent us this January. At the minute your manager is having to not count goals to keep the score respectable.

Why do we never see TV cameras panning in to Dogleash as they did towards SAF while our club was on the slide ?

Honestly Liverpool’s failings probably amount to less than a quarter of the media noise we get when we’re doing shite.

Comes with the territory of being the biggest club in the country.

They can’t sack him. The only manager definitely better than Klopp in world football right now is Pep. Who will they get to replace him?

That’s a different narrative to the one I heard at the time when Van Gaal and Mourinho came in. You were all talking about competing for the league at the beginning of last season under Ole.

Of course we should be, and both clubs are getting criticism accordingly. But United have spent a ridiculous amount since Ferguson retired and have very little to show for it.

Yep the Rawk quotes are sounding very similar to many on here last season, squad needs gutting, the players have downs tools, team's not fighting for the manager etc. etc.

When the entire squad is playing shit almost to a man and well below their recent levels then it's probably the manager that's the problem.

Amazing

also him refusing to answer the question and then asking another reporter to ask it again. Wtf, I love it.
He did these kinds of stunts all the time in Germany, patronising and condescending most of the time especially when shit hit the fan.

What does it matter what the narrative was? LVG and Mourinho were not in their prime at United. Both churned out dire football. Moyes and Ole obviously weren't good enough. No amount of money can change that.

He didn’t even want to speak to the bbc reporter in MOTD, just said he can’t and walked off

Well, Klopp. At the same time, I can’t imagine Liverpool sacking him anytime soon. Their situation could be left to fester for quite a while yet as I don’t think he’s going to be able to dig them out of this.

I see he's now trying to claim the Wolves 2nd goal shouldn't count because it was "the first time they'd passed the ball over the halfway line that half"

The fact he doesn't realise even discounting it they still lost

I haven't seen a Swiss Ramble on them lately, so am not totally confident on their finances.
But missing out on the CL will be a big blow.

They will have money to spend in the summer with the wages freed up from Keita, Ox and a few more, but again, they'll need to spend clever

It’s pretty funny that their only win in 2023 was in an FA Cup replay game they arguably shouldn’t have had, and that just led to them being knocked out in the next round.

Klopp can’t rebuild teams can he? Once he’s built a team and won something, then it falls apart. Is recent transfers have been awful. Gakpo and Nunez. None of them can finish their dinners.

You maybe right, but how many utd fans would take Klopp over ETH at this moment ?

Liverpool threw millions away post Dalglish (first time) with Souness et al and they couldn’t get a title.

I do love how some are only realising now that he's an absolute tosser. Yes, class manager, but he's always been an unbearable wanker.

It wasn't even a correct observation, either. Wolves had an attack in the 2nd before that in highlights on MotD.

Would be great if they sacked him but can't see it happening, he definitely fecked up by being too loyal to certain players and not improving the midfield. I think they'll give him the summer to rebuild then see what happens next season
