Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Cup winning team!! Not big but small cups!!

Irrespective on how much these Liverpool supporters feel happy about how exciting their team is…. Fact is that all Klopp and Pool has to show 1 PL Leauge and 1 CL in these 7 years!!

And I genuinely think that’s all these group of players will win now!!

If football should teach you anything, it's don't speak too soon. We're in early September.
But it's looking promising that they've had such an average start.

The core of this team have been playing high intensity football for 5 successive season, it was bound to catch up to them. So many of their players look utterly spent, or one or two touch slow

Klopp made a big mistake by not refreshing this team every 2-3 years with new blood, Fergie was a master at re-building new sides and that was key. Still hope he fecks off sooner rather than later

Klopp imploded at Mainz in his 7th season, he imploded at Dortmund in his 7th season and this is his 7th season at Liverpool.

They still have plenty of "luck"

He wasn't sent off for that?

I wouldn’t read that much into it.

This Liverpool team only seems capable of putting together 6 month stints of consistent football, and great football at that. Let’s remember the only reason they won the league was because they had a massive break in the middle, and they were still pretty shit in the second half of the covid season.

Whether it be a mentality or a physicality issue, I’m not sure but they just aren’t at the races at all. They need a rebuild, probably about 4 new players to galvanise the squad again but he isn’t going to get the funds to do that, and the longer that goes on the more players they will need.

Look at us, at one point we were discussing just needing a DM to be able to compete, last season we needed at least 8 new players. Now players like Rashford, who carried us at one point, look shot to shit.

Unfortunately for the dippers this is the beginning of the end for this cycle of players, and they’re buying badly along with it.

Liverpool have nothing about them. They just have runners with little creativity
They proved it to be quite useful. The relentless press without much creativity from midfield and attacks causes so much havoc and forces mistakes that they pounce. They out run and out gun everyone in europe. But the inhalers can only work so long. Players age, systems gets found out. Klopp is a brilliant manager but if remain to be seen if he can handle the end of this cycle and refresh it into title winning team again. FSG is under scrutiny now, i fully expect them to uncover few more shrewd signings. Lets see

They didn’t win the league due to the COVID break. They were 25 points clear when we had the break.

They’ve been poor this year but let’s not exaggerate

They should've won more league titles given level they've played in last 5 seasons.

I would say 3 CL finals in 5 seasons is very respectable though given the standard, it's same as you in three of them at end of SAF era and Barca to you is what Real Madrid is to them.

Sweeping up domestic cups isn't the number one target but adds to the legacy.

What this season is showing though is Liverpool will easily fall back into the pack once Klopp goes and less demanding and intense manager is appointed especially with so many of their key players in 29-32 age range so it's not going to be easy job for his successor unless they drop a couple of ready made 21-25 year olds into freshen things up, Diaz is at least a start and seems they're very confident on Bellingham.

I think you are right.
Eventually the comparative lack of spending will catch up with them.
Too many players on the wrong side of peak age and I’m not seeing anything exceptional with the hound midfielders this far although I may be wrong.
Nunez is 50/50 at this point as well.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

City didn't extend the league lead over them today, so let's not get too carried away, as much as we're enjoying their average start to the season.

Nunez is their Andy Carroll imo, lucky for them they also had Suarez at the time and Rodgers got the call correct.

Now it's declining Firmino or perhaps maybe trying out Diaz as their false 9 at some stage if they sign another wide attacker or just put Jota there (or he's the false 9).

Liverpool will finish 10-15 points off Man. City this season.

One league title and one Champions League is still good going (and, as well as the two other CL final appearances, they did finish second one year in the league with a points tally in the high 90s). For all their excellence, City still haven’t won the Champions League and have only made one final. Maybe not great, but certainly very, very good (and better than Wenger’s Arsenal, which made no impact in Europe).

If we win 1 PL + 1 CL in the next 7-8 years I will be over the moon.

I gotta disagree. One league title with that team isn’t good enough. It just can’t be

Honestly what more could they have done really? They're up against a robotic force in City, a team that look set to just Bayern the league for years. Feels weird defending Liverpool, but really some of the lack of rational thinking I'm seeing is a bit weird.

They consistently get over 90 points, reach totals even United never did and yet don't have more than a title to show for it. This really isn't something you can criticise them for given who they're up against. Klopp has done a phenomenal job.

Context. They are up against a state-funded machine led by another brilliant manager. Over 38 games, it’s very difficult to compete with that (and I doubt Bayern or Real Madrid could either if you parachuted them into the PL).

You’re right. they just aren’t good enough

I just still find it hilarious that the only league title that they’ve won in 498 years was lifted in a empty stadium with fireworks and glitter bullshit to absolutely no fans whatsoever, almost makes it worth them winning it in a perverse kinda way..

Not only that but to celebrate the clubs fans smashed up their own city.

Agree with that if we had got klopp we’d be singing his praises now just happened to come up against a better team.
A team with the most money and crucially the best planning. Peps arrival was planned for at least 2 years before he got there…….
Exceptional manager, most money, best planning = winning
