Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Also love how Liverpool fans are degrading Rodgers now that he has gone, the same fan base was comparing him to Shankly and Paisley during that season.
Like feck they were. Anything else you care to invent ?

Yes. You're an intelligent man.

Here's what your own club twitter account tweeted
Bi3XVJ4IgAAYMf2.jpg

And you'd have to be retarded not to realise that was in jest. Or totally lacking a sense of humour.

Is that why they deleted the said tweet just moments after it was tweeted?

Robin .. you only have to go back as far as his post before the one you've just replied to. His posts are just inane and TBH I thought about replying but then it would be lost on him to even try to counter such illogical and contrived BS.

Indeed - these lot spend an age trawling through RAWK for wacky and illogical comments - they should spend more time searching for them on here!

If you believed it then it says more about your gullibility than the Tweet !

Retarded, gullible and lacking sense of humour. Boy, I seem to have touched a nerve here.

While there is no doubting the fact that Klopp is several leagues above the likes of brodge and the fat wanker as a manager.

It needs to be noted though that in relative terms the dippers are still where they were in the 90's or the 2000's. Houlier, fsw, brodge were all probably the 4th to 5th best manager in the league while with the dippers. In those terms klopp is still the same, 4th or 5th best manager in the league.

So improvement in the quality of manager will not result in better league positions as everyone of their competition has improved by the same or more.

Debatable

Well that's BS for a start because Klopp himself has just recently come out and said "this is now my team" so where does that put your statement ? In the bin where it deserves to be.
I'm talking about Liverpool fans so stop pissing in your knickers.

They fecking were, best young manager in the world I was told countless of times by hundreds of Liverpool supporters, cringeworthy, you guys were a match made in heaven. Always something to laugh at.

A very obvious pattern. Also the lack of a genuine winner that could carry the team to the title. They have tried but every player has fallen foul of the Liverpool curse, usually in a comical way. How many players did Rafa sign for the first team? 108 I think. Balotelli, Carroll replacing Torres and James Milner. They now have a really really good manager and human being ;);) in Klopp. I don't expect them to change though.

Don't think it was like that in the beginning. More like "WTF are we doing signing this guy? He's done nothing!" Then he started playing good attacking football and fans got behind him. Then we nearly won the league and fans then said things like "best young manager" etc. Wasn't just fans BTW, pundits said things similar too. That soon stopped the next season though.

It was for me. It all clicked for his team due to hardly any injuries, no Europe, out of both cups early and a plan that knocked the shit out of you in the first 25 minutes. There second half form was atrocious and they conceded over fifty goals. He was compared to a young Ferguson by a few fans. Again it ends in a Liverpool fashion which was all the sweeter, the people's champions spouted by the Liverpool masses and the Liverpool agenda in the pundit box and media was rediculous. I still shudder at Klopp watch in his first game.
I expect this and am never surprised when it comes to Liverpool but I doubt Klopp will give me too much to laugh at. Good manager.

He had more than 3/4th of the season and I think had a poor point to games ratio than LVG in the same period. Sums up his first season for me.

Two cup finals are a nice achievement but ultimately counts feck all in grand scheme of things.

Also love how Liverpool fans are degrading Rodgers now that he has gone, the same fan base was comparing him to Shankly and Paisley during that season.

How many would be first teamers or next best replacements were out injured for most of that 3/4ths? (Where reaching two finals 'means feck all'. :wenger: What a crazy statement)

I can think of Sturridge, Origi and Ings ruling out our best three strikers. Henderson for midfield. And Gomez at LB meaning Moreno had free licence to feck up many league points single handedly and costing us a place in the CL this season because of another huge brain fart against Sevilla.

That was Klopp's not-first season with us. Now we'll see him in his real first season, with his preseason tactics and his players + the recovered ones mentioned above.

Ha ha - gotta love Klopp :

“With Marko we had to wait until the doc gave us the green light and said ‘go for it’ because of the kind of injury. It was not too serious, but we all more or less use our brain and he needs his for football."

Is that a cheeky dig at the player's intelligence?

Can one of you good Liverpool fans make a thread on how your squad is shaping up? There have been too many changes to your squad; it's hard to keep up.

PS: If someone does make the thread: please also list the injured players and how long are they out for.

Nah don't think so. The comment was about Grujic, the young lad that's just arrived, not Markovic where it could maybe construed as such. Just think it was a tongue in cheek comment about some people in general, perhaps.

Injuries first :
Note Matip recovered from having the pin removed from a previous injury plus Origi and Grujic, both (relatively) minor injuries suffered in pre-season matches, are all back and will play this weekend.

Karius - broken finger from punching Lovren's head, 4-5 weeks.
Gomez - achilles injury in match, out for another 4 weeks perhaps.
Lucas - Hamstring suffered in a match, out for another 2-3 weeks
Moreno - suffered dead leg in last match, out for another week if not back this weekend.
Sakho - calf injury, out for another month at least.

Likely Squad

I've excluded those gone on loan (Flanagan the latest) and Wisdom, Ilori, Benteke, Markovic, Alberto and Balotelli as I don't expect them to still be here come the end of the transfer season. I've left Lucas out too as he should have gone but it's possible his injury may prevent a transfer if he's not fit before the end of August. if he stays then thats another body at CB and CM.

GK : Karius, Mignolet, Manninger and Shamel as back up that's more than enough.

CBs : Matip, Lovren, Gomez, Sakho and Klavan is plenty if we avoid an injury crisis.

RBs : Clyne and Randall is a little thin but I guess there is also Trent-Alexander who showed well in pre-season and Wisdom if not sold. It's good enough if we avoid injuries.

LBs : the big issue. The line-up of Moreno, Gomez, Milner, Sakho and Ragnar. Gomez to start when fit for me. Surely, however, Klopp will buy a starter (not before the Arsenal game though).

CMs : Can, Milner, Henderson, Stewart, Grujic, Ejaria. Henderson is looking far better than he was last season and over his foot injury, if so could maybe get back to his 13/14 form. If not then Milner starts.

#10 : Coutinho, Firmino, Wijnaldum, Lallana. The starters from those in bold depending on the opposition and form.

Forwards : Mane, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Firmino, Ojo. The starters from those in bold depending on the opposition and form.

CFs : Sturridge, Origi, Ings, Firmino (the 16 year old Woodburn was sensational in pre-season so if 3 are injured at the same time he could find a place on the bench) ! Sturridge or Origi the starters depending on the opposition and form.

It's a good squad with strength in depth to cover most injuries over the season. Could do with a little bit more star-dust from the fans' point of view, however we are relying on Klopp and tactics to not only disguise that but bring some players through to the next level. We obviously could do with a new LB and a player capable of dictating play from CM.

To add to that very good post below is the current in's and out's this summer, obviously some unfamiliar names for most on here.
It just reflects the work being done to balance the squad and how it will take time, we could also see the likes of Lucas, Balotelli, Luis Alberto and Benteke leave.

Why did they sell rossiter and ibe? Both look so promising.

Did some guy named Jordan bang klopp's misues back in the day?

rossiter wanted silly wages for a youth player yet to make even a ripple in the pond at senior level.

I think they got a buy-back clause with Ibe so it wasn't too bad a deal I guess

Not trying to derail what this thread is for, but why was Rossiter let go? Genuinely curious.

It was a surprise as our understanding was he was highly thought of. He had a series of bad injuries and never really made it through to the first team.
I believe the club wanted him to stay, but he wanted a new challenge and maybe a better chance of regular football, also similar to Canos I think wanted a better contract than the club were willing to offer.

I guess ultimately though he wasn't quite good enough and injuries hampered his development to a degree.

Yes they got a clause as well as with Brad Smith too.

Ibe never really pushed on when Sterling left, been a bit hit and miss for us.

Klopp as you can see from my list is making a lot of changes and £21m for Ibe and Smith was probably too good to turn down.

Does Markovic even has a future under Klopp or you think he will be sold till end of transfer window?

Any other manager, and you'd have written that squad off.

Their only top bracket players who would walk into most of the other teams are Sturridge (when fit) and Coutinho.
Can, Firmino, Clyne, Milner and to an extent Wijnaldum, are all dependable 7/10s who have better games once in a while. Not really match winners by themselves.
Mane and Origi are inconsistent, and though they can turn around games, you gotta wait out the dry patches.

The only thing keeping them together is a world-class manager, and it'll be interesting to see how he fares with that mediocre squad in his first full season. My prediction - they'll have a good style, beat some big teams but be inconsistent and lose or draw too many and end up at around sixth or seventh.

Yes. You're an intelligent man.

Here's what your own club twitter account tweeted

I think the guys that run the official Liverpool Twitter account are the same ones that wrote poems on RAWK and sing songs about YAWN on their way to the job centre.

They're just obsessed with Klopp and feed the hysteria amongst their supports as well as posting other random and cringy tweets.

If the club get a decent offer I wouldn't be surprised if he is sold - not really sure where he stands with Klopp at the moment.
