I think he's brilliant. It'll take a lot to be convinced otherwise.
Klopp loves to create attention and this just helps him buy into the Liverpool "way" and become part of the Liverpool "family"
Liverpool supporters will be relieving each other when they find out about this

I don't get it - he refused a question from a Sun journo.
He's not the first and he won't be the last. How is this special?
bollocks - he was calm and respectful. Hardly someone looking for attention.
Why not answer the question then? I don't get how all these Liverpool managers and players start denouncing The Sun for things that happened decades ago and long before they were connected to the club, it's like they become zombies for the club and have to look to appease the supporters
I still maintain Klopp (like a lot of other managers) loves the media attention

Couldn't the thread title be changed to just 'Klopp Watch'? I feel that 'Flopp' is jinxing things.
Well it’s easier when there’s two of you.

The second Klopp is Korny. Andreas Kornmeyer - the fitness coach Klopp got from Bayern together with Mona Nemmer the food expert.

Hillsborough might have happened 'decades' ago, but the lies that paper told were still very much active up until just 4 years ago. & they were only well & truly quashed a few months back when Klopp was actually manager of Liverpool Football Club. So I think he has every right to respectfully tell the guy where to get off. Which he duly did.
I'm sorry but that's intellectually redundant - not to say crass. Is there a statute of limitations on how long an injustice can be respected and acknowledged. If you become employed by Liverpool and invest in the club and its character, then you don't ignore the seminal defining event of the club's recent history. Not only that, the tragedy happened decades ago but the fact it took decades to fully expose the injustice heightens the relevance of the horrors of Hillsborough rather than consigns it to some historical lesser issue. Why not answer the question then? Hillsborough is front and centre, which is what got the truth out. If players and managers want to keep it high-profile then more power to them.

Well my guess is maybe its the small matter of blaming Hillsborough on the fans - just a wild shot in the dark there mind.

Agreed. I have no idea how anyone can read either of those papers and take them seriously. The literal translation of what he is saying is absolutely 100% correct. "You can listen and you can write what you want, that is it." It sums up tabloid media and why I don't ever subscribe to anything that they are offering.Any man who says that to a Sun journalist is alright in my book. I refuse to believe anyone who works for them isn't a cnut, same goes for the Daily Mail too.
You feel so offended by his post, worth calling him dickhead?Anyone who thinks he is pandering to the fans by not speaking to the sun are basically allowing rivalry to make themselves ignorant dickheads.
It's not special that he is doing it. It is however, only decent. Think twice about who you become if you choose to put a negative slant on that.

I'm just curious that if you feel so strongly about Hillsborough; what have you done to help the victims and families?
Injuries first :
Note Matip recovered from having the pin removed from a previous injury plus Origi and Grujic, both (relatively) minor injuries suffered in pre-season matches, are all back and will play this weekend.
Karius - broken finger from punching Lovren's head, 4-5 weeks.
Gomez - achilles injury in match, out for another 4 weeks perhaps.
Lucas - Hamstring suffered in a match, out for another 2-3 weeks
Moreno - suffered dead leg in last match, out for another week if not back this weekend.
Sakho - calf injury, out for another month at least.
Likely Squad
I've excluded those gone on loan (Flanagan the latest) and Wisdom, Ilori, Benteke, Markovic, Alberto and Balotelli as I don't expect them to still be here come the end of the transfer season. I've left Lucas out too as he should have gone but it's possible his injury may prevent a transfer if he's not fit before the end of August. if he stays then thats another body at CB and CM.
GK : Karius, Mignolet, Manninger and Shamel as back up that's more than enough.
CBs : Matip, Lovren, Gomez, Sakho and Klavan is plenty if we avoid an injury crisis.
RBs : Clyne and Randall is a little thin but I guess there is also Trent-Alexander who showed well in pre-season and Wisdom if not sold. It's good enough if we avoid injuries.
LBs : the big issue. The line-up of Moreno, Gomez, Milner, Sakho and Ragnar. Gomez to start when fit for me. Surely, however, Klopp will buy a starter (not before the Arsenal game though).
CMs : Can, Milner, Henderson, Stewart, Grujic, Ejaria. Henderson is looking far better than he was last season and over his foot injury, if so could maybe get back to his 13/14 form. If not then Milner starts.
#10 : Coutinho, Firmino, Wijnaldum, Lallana. The starters from those in bold depending on the opposition and form.
Forwards : Mane, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Firmino, Ojo. The starters from those in bold depending on the opposition and form.
CFs : Sturridge, Origi, Ings, Firmino (the 16 year old Woodburn was sensational in pre-season so if 3 are injured at the same time he could find a place on the bench) ! Sturridge or Origi the starters depending on the opposition and form.
It's a good squad with strength in depth to cover most injuries over the season. Could do with a little bit more star-dust from the fans' point of view, however we are relying on Klopp and tactics to not only disguise that but bring some players through to the next level. We obviously could do with a new LB and a player capable of dictating play from CM.

Probably more to do with the hatred many on here had towards Louis van Gaal. You shouldnt be surprised, last season we had people here taking side of The Sun and that cnut Custis vs LvG. I know its not related with your reasons but guess some people just like The Sun,when it fits them.
