Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

This might just be their year.

Bad enough that the media won't stop wanking over them if they win, but imagine Klopp grinning and giving cringeworthy media bytes.

That being said, have to acknowledge with gritted teeth that he's done a good job. Compare their team and mental state in the 6-1 defeat to Stoke a few years ago and to where they are now. If they win silverware, it will complete a terrific rebuilding job, for which both Klopp and FSG should get plaudits.

If the trio is playing every match and there is no big injury of any of them , they will make it .

CAN move to summer is also a big plus

Wait until December before you start shitting bricks at the prospect of them winning the league.

They have a pretty challenging run of games:
9/18. Lpool vs PSG
9/22. Lpool vs Southampton
9/26. Lpool vs Chelsea (football league)
9/29. Chelsea vs Spool
10/3. Napoli vs Lpool
10/7. Lpool vs City

So let’s see where they stand after that little run.

This thread reads a lot like the Liverpool 18/19 thread.

Actually, they could both be exactly the same thread.

Most posts about the gurning fool in here maybe?

Klopp is a good manager no doubt about it. This is the season for him. He either fecks it all up again or he wins a big prize (PL or CL).

He's done a good job. Keeper and centre back fixed their major problems but overcoming City remains a tough task and it's still very early days yet anyway in terms of us bettering them, deservedly or otherwise.

I don’t think I could stand the media wankfest and his gurning face if they actually won something this season. But what I fully expect is for him to blame us in a passive aggressive way when they don’t win anything.

He will blame himself, not Man Utd.

If Klopp were on the market, United fans would be clamouring for him to manage United.

I know it's blasphemy, but I kinda liked his reaction to Mou saying he won more league titles than the rest of the prem managers combined.

I don’t think he’d blame himself, has he blamed himself for defeats? He used a concussion regarding his keeper in a very important final.

I was never enamoured with klopp even in his Dortmund days, can’t speak for any other united supporter though.

That ship has sailed, fortunately. He will never manage them after us.
Good. I like Klopp but we’re too big for him, he likes being at plucky Liverpool playing the clown as there is no pressure.

Man Utd would eat him up. After Mourinho we need a proven winner, not someone who has lost 6 major finals in a row.

Why do you think he is playing a clown? He's a very ruthless manager, actually. He dropped Sakho like a stone for being a clown.

Losing that many finals has been a disappointment, but he will win a trophy soon enough.

He'll surely have to win something this season. This very specific season there's actually no excuse.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports: "We knew how Chelsea wanted to play but we gave them too much space and weren't compact enough. We still had the bigger chances in the first half."

Was it a free-kick leading up to the equaliser?

"No, I don't think so. the linesman is in a really good position. There was so much in the game. Unfortunately in the end we have to take it. We wanted to win it, we feel unlucky, we hit the bar.

"I think the first goal is offside. Three players are offside - two for sure. They watched it and didn't think it was offside. We have to take it.

"This is good preparation for Saturday but we have to defend better."

Feck me is this guy a bitter loser or what. Moaning about offsides even when they have VAR. It's never his fault, he's always short-changed. Excuse central.

If and when his season falls apart it will be beautiful to watch.

He won't be sack even he wins nothing for another 3 seasons. He is the best manager they ever have for a long time and they know it. The improvement of the team is for everyone to see.

It wont be highlighted though. He could run onto the pitch and beat the ref with his flip flop and the media would call it passion.

Oh well, he'll have to settle for the treble this season. At least Vincent Kompany will be happy.

Agreed; he’s bigger than the club currently basically - they need him a lot more than he needs them. He’s under zero pressure.

There was a time Mourinho used to get away with spouting nonsense like that, look at where he is now. If they ever turn on Klopp he will bury himelf as he won't be able to shut up.

Let's be honest if he is available in the market he will get lots of offers from big clubs. The same can not be said for Wenger or well, "the one who must not be named".

At least he'll have another offside goal to moan about than the United one.

Absolutely; that’s part of the reason he’s under no pressure. Liverpool must know how incredibly lucky they are to have him, especially given where they were when he joined them.

It did look like it was offside on the VAR pictures though.
You can't blame the linesman for not flagging but once the VAR ref managed to move the blue lines in the correct position after 3 minutes of trying Barkley's left foot was offside on the pic. It was marginal and all but why have VAR in the first place if not for these situations.

My thought exactly. These comments will help him get the English press platinum treatment .

In any game of football you will get decisions for and against you. VAR is a handy tool and will improve decision-making but is not perfect - it's probably going to be the closest we're going to get in terms of nullifying human error. For once I'd like him to congratulate the better team on winning without piping up with excuses.

There's a reason this guy loses can't win anything.

Blame yourself for picking a poor team to play at HOME against CHELSEA instead of blaming Shaqiri and the ref.

The guy decides to lose his rag against Shaqiri of all people, the dwarf in the team but is afraid of Matip and Lovren. He is a loser and a coward.

He won't win anything this season again (after spending so much money) and you can quote me on this
