Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Jesus Christ

Watch Liverpool fans defend this. Although they defended Kenny's TShirt stint, so won't be surprise if they do defend this.

He must want to finish 2nd in the league badly. There's really no other significance to today's match and I doubt media would be criticizing the team much anyway. Or he's just really bad at taking setbacks.

This result actually puts pressure on Liverpool due to the game at Stamford Bridge. Fielding a reserve team against Stoke would have been ideal, due to the CL tie, but he can't really do that now.

Yep. Didn't know it mattered to him so much.

Seems like he has an obsession over finishing 2nd and winning the CL. Which would be a brilliant season no doubt, but makes his casual nonchalant "its' cool" post-match comments seem hypocritical.

Terrible comments from Klopp. I always thought he's pretty awful character, but I'm still surprised at these comments.
Imagine his comments if Roma beats them?

Long balls to Dzeko for 90 minutes at Anfield. 2-1 to Roma would be lovely.

Surely Klopp is just taking the pressure off the players from the media with these comments? Right....Right?!?!

I suppose someone has to take over from Arsene Wenger in being unable to accept that things happen seemingly unfairly.
In his defense he admitted he could not talk about positives during the interview so losing a 2 to 0 lead certainly hurt his gameplan so he was hardly likely to look at both sides of the coin.

What a sore loser he is. Those comments are disrespectful and the man needs to learn to show more class. He seems to lose it every time he's not winning from blaming the wind to now blaming the pitch.... What an arsehole.

Throw in a goal from a corner that the Liverpool defence can't clear and that'd be a dream scenario.

West Brom ago have just let them win.

Is this for real ? Is he basically saying WBA should have let them win because they don't need points ? This is beyond disrespectful and FA should take an action.

The FA take action against Klopp? You're having a laugh.

Whilst I have 5 minutes due to half time in the rugby. (Which is not going well at all if you're a Llanelli boy!)

I'm not gonna quote everyone who's quoted my post as I don't have time right now so excuse me if I fail to cover anything that was brought up with regards to what i said.

I don't think he's blamed the pitch for the result, unless I've missed that somewhere.

With regards to playing on a dry pitch in the Championship jibe, West Brom have, as is their right, set up a pitch to suit them and hinder Liverpool's passing style. Having done so, in my eyes, it's perfectly valid to bring it up in a dig at the end of the game.

Classless to some, and clearly borne out of frustration at the result, but not that big a deal as far as I'm concerned.

The other stuff he's said about a pen and a red card I'm guessing no one has a problem with so don't think I need to say anything about them.

I maintain he's like Marmite though. Your manager = Love him. Opposition manager = Hate him.

Anyway, back to the rugby for me. (Is there a praying emoji about?) :(

I love Klopp and have defended him before but those comments are definitely out of order, commenting on the dry pitch sounds incredibly childish and then mocking them for being relegated. You would think he would be a bit more sympathetic about clubs fighting for relegation because of his time at Mainz.

Hope he comes out and apologies during the presser.

Why on earth you love and defend a Lvpool manager? Nut. They can get SAF in and i wouldve still loath their manager.

regarding Klopp, he has always been petulant, he's blamed everything for his own team misfortune although this time he really has crossed the line.

A lot of people on this forum seem to think we are. A lot of Utd fans too.

It's very odd.

This might be the absolute worst Klopp moan yet though. Dearie me
I think Klopp gets more out of his side than Mourinho does of his. That might be interpreted as me thinking Liverpool are a better side.
I would assume that the general consensus is that, we are a better team than Liverpool.

Yea if it's any other manager coming out with thse sorts of comments, you would think it's not a big deal and it's all overblown just because the manager is controversial. Bravo

Another day another excuse for Jurgen, his latest one being quite weak by his usual high standards. I guess no one has informed him that a "bad pitch" has an equally adverse affect on both teams participating in the match (not just Liverpool) but you don't hear Darren Moore whining about it.

Also find it hilarious how oppo fans conveniently disguise his 'bad loser' temperament by calling it 'passion'

Precisely, had Jose said even 1 of the countless absurd excuses the usual gang of cnuts in the press would have it as back page spreads and those on here would have started 20 threads of pathetic whining.

They are the epitome of a one man team. Replace Salah with the next best right sided Winger/IF and they would be trying to break into top 6 at best.

What the feck is wrong with him. According to media and Liverpool fans he is extremely class and passionate guy while in fact he is a grade a c*nt. Always stupid excuses, playing different style than him is a crime against football and so on. Imagine Jose said that, media would have a field day and FA would probably find a reason to charge him inventing some stupid rule. Instead he has a free pass from everyone because of the passion he has...

Klopp frustrated as we were denied a clear pen and that cnut who "punched" Ings should have seen red. However changing 3 of what has been a much improved back 4 was a risk and it showed today. I'm sure he will regret his cheap shot at WBA going down but at least it has given people something to talk about on twitter.

It's so funny these liverpool fans moan about Jose and his complaints when in reality their beloved klopp is even worse. At least Jose graciously goes and appreciates opposite manager even when he loses, unlike klopp who has his big ego. I hope Roma thrashes him or better him losing another final to bayern or even better Ronaldo scoring a hat trick and making a mockery of salah and liverpool

Why would reaching the Champions League final be worse than losing in the semis? They were never expected to make it this far in the UCL, and whatever happens now, they'll be pleased with the progress they've made. They settled well after selling their best player in January and are in the semis of the Champions League, having all but locked up a top 4 spot, while playing some of the best football in Europe.

He just says exactly what most fans are thinking instead of slipping into boring manager talk like the majority do.

If he's your manager then as a fan you love him. If he's not yours then you have the opposite view. It's that simple.

Nothing he's said today is controversial
or anything. It's a brutally honest review of the game that's all.

I'd argue that it is controversial. The "championship" dig at Westbrom was a little awkward. And rightly or wrongly, mentioning something like the dryness of a pitch after a loss comes across looking like an excuse. He's a perfectionist so even a relatively meaningless match like this would bother him, but I think he'd have come across better if he just dismissed the match and stated that there's a more important match ahead and that his team should move on from a disappointing match and regroup.

Just watched two different post match interviews

In one, he says that he didn’t see the hehgazi punch and that his analyst showed him afterward

In the other, he says he can’t understand how the referee couldn’t see the punch. Maybe he was looking where you were looking jurgen.

Completely agree with these sentiments and I think that a slight majority of the United fans on here feel the same way, which is why there's palpable disappointment when we underperform. We do have a much better team than Liverpool. We shouldn't compare our results with theirs. We ought to be aiming higher.

I expected them to beat Porto and City? Is it that much of a shock?

Jose's reputation comes from a history of gouging people's eyes out and generally denigrating his rivals in public. That's probably why, mate.

Fair point. I suppose he may have had a rotation figured out already and this might mess it up, or he persists with it but risks top 4. Although I don't see Chelsea catching them either way.

It's an incredible achievement. I don't think many people expected them to reach the semi finals of the Champions League. Drawing City was a disaster for them and they smashed City home and away to reach the semis. I don't think it's a shock. It is, however, sensational given the budget they have - especially when you compare it with our performance in Europe against a Sevilla team that run us ragged for 180 minutes when we we're overwhelming favourites.

Porto are no joke and City have decimated everyone on their path while winning the league with 5 matches to spare. To insinuate that they are easy opposition that Liverpool were expected to beat is just strange.

Honestly, a lot of posters fancied Liverpool to get through v City.
Its an achievement but its not as if they have had Madrids run of opponents.
