Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Interesting stats for 2017 considering how they like to say they are the next big thing because of Klopp and we are on a nosedive because of Jose.

United and Liverpool played 27
United won 14 Liverpool 12
11 draws vs 10
2 losses vs 5
46 goals vs. 43
12 conceded vs. 32
17 clean sheets vs.8
34 goal diff vs. 12
2 cups vs. 0

This season
6 wins vs. 3
2 draws vs. 4
0 losses vs. 1
21 goals vs. 13 scored
2 conceded vs. 12 conceded
7 clean sheets vs. 2

But of course we are the boring one and they play some breathtaking football.

Want to give us a quote from someone for that bolded bit ? I've never seen a single Liverpool fan pn here say anything even close to that. You've a great imagination though, give you that.

Also nice to pick up on this seasons stats showing your performances that are mainly versus mid-table or relegation fodder (bar Liverpool) vs. LFCs that include City, Arsenal and United. Let's at least wait until mid-season when a proper evaluation can be made.

Any comment on the fact Jose and Klopp have actually won the identical number of points (I think it is 83) since Jose took over (not even going to get into the respective amounts spent in the transfer market) ?

Or the below (1 goal in last NINE away matches vs. Top 6) ? It was an interesting PoV from Carra to say that your performances against other Top 6 teams (should they remain in the same vein this season) could cost you the title.

It's for the calendar year 2017. It includes trips to Arsenal,Spurs,City,Liverpool and home game V Chelsea. The Spurs and Arsenal game we fielded weaker teams.

Also our results away v the top 6 only needs a slight improvement.

Last season Chelsea away to the top 6:
Arsenal 3-0 Chelsea
Man city 1-3 Chelsea
Spurs 2-0 Chelsea 0
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Man utd 2-0 Chelsea

They managed to win a whole 2 more points(in away games v top 6) than us yet they finished 24 points ahead of us because they didn't draw a load of matches at home to the "lesser" teams. They also came within 2 points of equaling the all time points total. We will be fine v the rest of the top 6.

Our biggest area for improvement is beating the "lesser" teams.

He also quoted THIS season's stats .. which is what I responded to.

Liverpool also dropped points against Burnley, Watford, Newcastle this season. Same number of points since the start of 2016/2017. That's fine. Klopp already had nearly a years head start on Jose. The stat is showing the most recent points. The last (and current) calendar year and the current season one shows a superior record and progression the other shows regression. Regarding Jose's poor away form I'd say given the areas we have slowly improved in 2017 it's not unfathomable to believe those stats improve also. Also the league has more relegation fodder/mid table teams than other top 6 teams.

So in other words you didn't compensate for the quality of opposition or obvious impact on results then. Noted.

No, I went over two periods of time - a long one (calendar year 2017 where everyone's played everyone) and a short one (current season). You can only play what's in front of you. Liverpool did well against top 6 last season, we struggled against the teams we've smashed this season. I think the directions of both teams are beginning to look a little clearer.

How can he continue to justify his defence watching those 3 goals?

He's making Rodgers' Liverpool defence look like a 90s Milan side by comparison.

How was his defence at Dortmund?

Because at Liverpool, it's absolutely pathetic.

Surprisingly good when they were at their best. In the two seasons he won the title with them they conceded only 22 and 25 goals respectively.

This is where Klopp should have learned from Mourinho. This is what happens when you aren’t equipped at all to deal with what is in front of you. Sure it’s awesome to watch, but in no way were Liverpool going to get anything by committing suicide from the 1st minute. We will never play as nice as Tottenham this season, but we sure as hell would not let in three goals against them in one half.

Que the stupid comparison between our performance and Spur's...

Mkhitaryan vs Eriksen is the key difference here. One puts his invisibility cloak on and the other takes the initiative.

It also helps that Liverpool are away from home.

Incredible how Liverpool is absolutely and totally dependent on Mane. They are a totally different team with him.

It really wasn't though.

The defence was great initially - almost record breaking even - but it got progressively worse as they were forced into a more dominant role - around 12/13 that is.

He's gonna get the sack at this rate. Get the feeling him and Jose are not the right fits for their respective clubs.

They sacked Rodgers for less. . . nearly winning them the league.

He's right though. Tweaking what he said, you could certainly play this way at Liverpool, its' just not acceptable at Man United.

Liverpool fans were lambasting Mourinho for his approach at Anfield, how's your approach working out away to big teams?

Undefeated against top 6 last season, smashed twice already this season.

Well that’s them most likely out of top four. Three big teams played, two thrashings. Why the feck did not we have a go at these cnuts? Not scared of Arsenal so at the very least we should be taking Liverpool’s position in the CL places.

The sack is coming for Klopp. The only thing he had left was doing well against the big teams.

With the 4 goals against them today, Liverpool becomes the 6th club in the PL to concede over 1,000 goals. It's incredible how someone who won the Bundesliga with only 22 conceded goals can't seem to organise a defence properly. Can't wait to see how he will spin this around and blame it on United, Mourinho, SAF, London, Wembley, wind, Masons, The Golden Dawn, Aliens etc. Anything but his own faults.

I agree. Theres only so long he can fly under the radar and not attract the type of criticism that normally comes before getting the boot.
