Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Two years into his tenure now. 100 Premier League games. If Pep, Mourinho, Wenger, Pellegrini, etc had similar records they'd have been hounded into oblivion by the press. So why not Klopp?

Why don't you try and engage your brain for a second?

Has he had anywhere near the resources afforded to him as the likes of Mourinho, Pep and Pellegrini? Expectation is always going to be much greater for a manager that blows £200m every summer.

And despite the disparity in resources, perhaps you should note that he finished above two of the managers you mention and two points behind the other in his first full season.

Pep had Wenger's decade old rejects at fullback and was expected to win everything.

Mourinho was in his first season period and he won two cups.

The irony is that Mourinho won the exact 2 cups in his first season that Liverpool fans were bleating on about after Klopp reached 2 cup finals in his first season.

Yeah and we have to hear how Mourinho is taking us backwards and is on sack watch but Klopp is the best manager in the league and creating something special. Madness.

Why does this thundercnut keep talking about Manchester United? He's obsessed.

The goal wasn't even offside ffs. That incident happened way before the ball went in the net. There was a failed cross, a Rooney cross, a Fellaini header which hit the post and then finally Ibra scored on the rebound.

It wasn't like Ibra was offside so to call it an "offside goal" is just being desperate. This is Honestly the most annoying thing about Liverpool. They always play the victim.

It's certainly the most bizarre obsession with a goal in recent times. A fair decision in a game they got a goal from some dodgy decisions (offside leading up to corner, debatable penalty).

Pep had Wenger's decade old rejects at fullback and was expected to win everything.

He had the summer to address the biggest problem in the squad and failed to do so. Every team had flaws, but City on paper had the least cracks.

He is acting like a populist politician. He thinks he knows his audience and picks the lines the audience would like to hear.

"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

He is a clown. Sooner or later Liverpool fans will find it out.

Based on the budget he was afforded, he's done okay in the league. But he should have atleast won a domestic cup by now. Either way, he's done an average job, no more or no less than what was expected. That can be admitted.

Only reason he finished above the other managers is because of one manager's naivete (Pep) and another inheriting a lousy squad with EL football in the schedule (Mourinho). And you can't bring up the excuse of Mourinho signing Zlatan, Pogba and co...van Gaal's squad was worse than Liverpool's by a considerable margin, signing 4 players made us just about able to compete, or we would have been 8th or 9th if we had made no signings at all.

Let's see how these managers do this season.

I used to rate this guy at BVB and even wanted him as coach but he is seriously irritating and cannot set up a defence.

Klopp is not having a good friday. The Coutinho saga continues and Dembele apparently trashed the house that he's renting from Klopp in Dortmund. Cherry on top: they play Crystal Palace tomorrow:lol:

The Corbyn of football management?

Who has done this?

"Milner in midfield is like a transfer", oh FFS Klopp, are you kidding me?! Feck off, really pissed by that comment. He wasn't enough last year when he was moved to LB, and now he isn't good enough to start in midfield but yeaaah it's totally like a new transfer.

Be fair, even Carroll was a transfer. Klopp didn't say its like a great transfer.

 guess you're hoping that's not the transfer activity he hinted At?

Damn, when even a Pool fan is annoyed by what he says you know Klopp is talking absolute shit.

Jesus those quotes are damming. fecking sorry state of affairs this club at the moment. But it's okay cause we scraped past Palace and qualified for the CL proper. When the season sets in we are well and truly fecked, same fans who convince themselves we need more then when the summer comes round are content to shift the blame anywhere but FSG will be the same ones lambasting the players who gave it everything last season. We need more and desperately so 3 signings at the minimum. 1 will not cut it. None will be an utter travesty.

Despite all lol's and laughs I think that Millner is a quality, albeit unspectacular, EPL player. Grossly underrated.
He's a decent enough squad player and I like having him on the team but what he's clearly not is "like a new transfer" ffs. Like @Liver_bird said, we need new players, especially defenders, or we simply won't cut it this season.

Miller is actually a good player and he played well as a fullback. So by virtue of this, if his move to midfield provides more depth in that area (like a new signing would) then conversely Liverpool lose some depth in defense, which is their biggest weakness.

I heard they might sign Renato Sanches. He could actually do quite well under Klopp.

The telling thing will be whether Liverpool are still able to win against the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and City like they did last season. There's this assumption that they will automatically beat these sides and they just have to work out beating the lower placed teams.

I would be astonished if they got the same amount of points v United, Spurs, City, Arsenal and Chelsea as they did last season, i.e. came out top of the top six mini-league.

All of those sides, except perhaps Arsenal, have strengthened more than Liverpool have.

Cue Liverpool 4-0 up by HT on Sunday now I've said this :D

WTF is he on about.. Milner is both tried and tested as a midfielder nothing should come as a surprise there.. New signing my ass.
