Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

All this top 4 talk is very Arsenal. I don't give a shite about Top 4 unless we make a real go of the CL and try to win the thing.

It will be interesting to see what dross Liverpool sign for huge amounts if they do get CL next season. Who is the next Benteke or Markovich?

Nah, i like watching games buddy, your stats are bullshit. Your shitty defence was on full view again today, have you given up posting your defensive stats by the way? I haven't seen you break them out for a while.

Definitely agree with that, he often pulls up absurd or obscure stats to prove his point like he's some opta spokesperson. Rubbish.

This is what I don't get. It's the same with Spurs too. Would you rather win something or get in the CL only to have no realistic chance of being competitive?

United won the FA cup last season and Spurs finished in top 4.

Spurs are now in Europa with United and still have no trophy. Who had the better season?

I love Klopp, he is a fantastic coach and a warm ambassador for the game, I really hope he does not lose his mind in the case he loses the plot.

Spurs. Hands down.

 The upside to unfortunate cup exits is beginning to sink through on here?

The upside of another season without a trophy?

You've won 1 trophy in 11 years

It's pathetic/hilarious. And there was nothing unfortunate about it, Southampton outplayed you and Wolves were the better team.

Spurs. Hands down.

Why? Is there a trophy for 3rd place? I'm sure a lot of us would have traded a CL place last season for the cup, but in hindsight that season is now more important to United's history than it was to Spurs', because the only reward Spurs got for that season was a place in a competition that they've been dumped out of.

Exactly!

Spurs did.

It's pretty sad to think finishing 3rd is better than winning the FA cup. Modern football eh.

He is a bitter fraud who has lost in 5!! Consecutive finals and won 3 trophies in 16 years

It's laughable

It might make more sense if there was some massive gap between 3rd and 5th, which there wasn't last year. Tottenham finished a grand total of 4 points ahead of us and failed to sustain a push for the title because of poor results in critical situations down the last leg of the season.

Tbf though for Tottenham as a club, financially and for exposure's sake, CL is more valuable. I don't think supporters should think the same way as the club though.

It's too late. The scouseitus has already spread.

He screamed "nobody can beat us". It seems he has a very short memory.

Wow, so beating Sheff Utd, Derby, Shrewsbury, West Ham, Everton, and Crystal Palace in one-off games means that you had a better season than a team that was consistently better than you against much better opposition over an entire season?

RAWKish.

Wouldn't expect you to understand about winning trophies.

Are we talking moral victories now? No one will give a shit that Spurs played better than us last season (which they undoubtedly did), but the cup will be etched in our history forever. Yeah, yer damn right I think we had a better season because we actually fecking won something, which is the whole point of football.

Am I the only one who thinks Klopp's assistant looks really creepy? I don't know what it is, he just creeps me out! I bet he has some sort of freaky basement.

Guy looks like Severus Snape.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? What an astonishingly stupid statement. We aren't celebrating the individual matches, we're celebrating the trophy.

The FA cup isn't some Mickey Mouse cup. The other PL teams were in it too, which also says a lot that they couldn't beat the Shrewsburys and Derbys.

Of course Spurs were consistently ahead over the entire season and credit to them. But history doesn't note the participants, only the winners.

Especially when Spurs did feck all in the Champions League and went out as soon as possible.

It's laughable

I see where you are coming from, but it's all too easy with Monday's paper.

Ask any fan back in June and the answer would be different. Most United fans would have happily handed back the FA Cup in exchange for a season playing how Spurs played and not how we did, let alone the prospects going forward.

A lot changes in a few months of course, that's football.

I do actually see what he's saying.

Twitter is very bad for things like this. It makes him sound ridiculous. But it's common sense.

Most on here were happy enough when we were playing well but maybe not getting the results against Stoke, Arsenal etc.

Most on here were unhappy when we were winning 1-0 being outplayed under LvG.

Klopp is just expressing that.

Their match against Spurs is going to be huge.

That's only maybe true for 6 teams in the league.

The FA Cup isn't what it once was but if you offered most fans the choice of;

- Finish 3rd, lose the FA Cup Final
- Finish 7th, win the FA Cup

Truly cannot see any side out of the top 6 to pick the first option. One season in the Champions League is not going to make a football club.
