Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

This is the guy we needed. He would have been the perfect United manager.

Well Pulis really was right. A much harder game it was for him to concentrate on today. :D

I wonder how few extra long balls WBA played today compared to Bournemouth. Maybe we'll have the benefit of his analysis by tomorrow. :wenger:

"Where is this bounty then, O Lord, of which Thou fuchen speakest?"

I guess his honeymoon period is over and now he is facing the reality which Brendan previously was dealing with.
In any case, I'm sure he will do well for LFC. I doubt he will win the league title in the next 4 years (which was his expectation, when he first joined).

Needs time to build his own squad and make some of his own signings since that's probably one of the main reasons they hired him, but the honeymoon period's certainly over. Worryingly poor at the moment in the games you'd expect them to be winning...although admittedly Watford's a difficult one right now.

Maybe he was right to celebrate that point against WBA afterall.

Considering how bad they are, it seems like a great result.

I don't get why anyone at Liverpool would assume he was responsible for building Dortmund. There would have been numerous people who worked extremely hard over a long periods of time, when German football was flourishing, that rebuilt BVB. Yet as is so typical in the football industry, we tend to credit one man.

Klopp struggling at Liverpool is like being shocked Ramos, AVB and Paul Le Guen etc all failed. It's like our fans being shocked if we got Pep and struggled.

Other than maybe Wenger, managers in the SAF mould, that run a club, just don't exist anymore, yet we speak about the head coaches as if they are the manager.

Strange line-up.

Not sure how many sides (aside from world beating Spain/Barca) can line up without a striker and expect to score goals. Looked awful.

Joining midseason made zero sense. Players are going to need an entire preseason to understand his system and he needed to be able to bring in some players of his own. Maybe he will figure it out next season.

What are you talking about... the improvement was visible from the first game on, that gegenpress - beautiful :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Sanctimonious Flopp. Managing a club that can't pay its own way. Being subsided by the owners.

Same front three who smashed City and Chelsea to be fair. I think they've been found out by teams who sit deep and let them have the ball; a bit like us.

When I wanted him to replace Fergie (and then Moyes and LVG), I always said that even if you lose with Klopp, you'll still have fun.

And I'm sure that's exactly how LFC fans see it right now. Tremendous fun.

Well that's the obvious answer but both of those sides played poorly (especially Chelsea) and are the exceptions.

You're not going to win games without a recognised striker on the pitch - it's mental to think otherwise.

He must really regret going to that hell hole.

Top 4 this season is very unlikely and he'll know how hard it is going to be to break into it next season as well. At best he's going to fade into mediocrity and irrelevance (as far as the rest of the footballing world is concerned), and at worst his reputation will be severely damaged if he ends up getting sacked at some point.

Klopps system at Dortmund was flawed. When teams sat back and gave them possession they struggled. That's why their best games are against the better sides who try and attack you.

Klopp was looked upon as some sort of messiah, much like Pep. This league is nothing like these guys are used to, there's no guarantees over here. If you want that, stick to Bundesliga and La Liga.
No, him and Pep are very different. Klopp's best games always comes against teams which have a go at them because it suits his counterattack in style. Sit back and defend and his teams look bereft of ideas. I have been saying it for weeks that unless he has learnt new tricks, they won't have the smooth ride their fans expect.

Pep is the opposite. His teams want the ball, keep it and rip you apart. He is the best our there a club can get.

I don't think beating Chelsea is anything to brag about and City were awful that day. Aside from those two games they've been shit and if not for certain refereeing decisions they would be even worse off.

Even if Guardiola joins in January, do you really think with this squad we will "keep it and rip you apart" I just cannot see it at present

True.

Not true, where Klopp always did well against better teams, Pep's Bayern got ripped apart by teams who should be his equal.

Are you referring to the Real and Barca games when he was with Bayern? You make it sound like his teams got ripped apart by teams his equal on a consistent basis which is blatantly untrue. His Barca side in particular took the piss walking big games. Remember the 2 CL finals where we were outplayed or the numerous el classicos?

Edit: Who are the manager's you consider better than Guardiola?
