Jude Bellingham | Real Madrid player

I have a feeling United will try and go in for him, maybe not next summer necessarily but if all goes well with Amorim he'd surely be someone we go for as the last piece of the puzzle.
He'd fit in perfectly behind the main striker as one of the two attacking midfielders.

From his point of view he's already won the lot with them, and now that Mbappes come in, he's just another galactico. And with Vini pushing for the Ballon Dor so aggressively it makes me think if Bellingham and Vini were both up for the award, it'd cause real tension in the ranks with the club probably wanting Vini to win.

All that to say if Bellingham wants to be the main man, the face of a global club and an English footballing legend, he needs to come to the Premier League (or win a WC/Euro). No doubt all of City, Liverpool and Arsenal would be right in the mix if that happened but with our new "project" if we're even halfway good we'd have a really good chance. /end muppeteering

Part of me would love to see him at United to see how Amorim would use him, but another part of me doesn't want another arrogant tosser in the club, we've had our fair share this past decade.

Bellingham at this point is pretty much the exact opposite of what we’re trying to do, not to mention that he doesn’t seem to fit the profile of what Amorim wants from his players.

If the ref heard that and didn’t take action then he’s an absolute pussy. Footballers these days think they can get away with anything, from calling refs cnuts to driving pissed without insurance.

Imagine that we get tired and look for the new jewel of the market, which players do you think fit that profile, in his good version, the "Di Stefano" version? Omnipresence, runs all over the field, combinations, goals, defensive intensity?

I loved that profile and I think that now the atmosphere is to look for a coach and a system that fits him and not to blame the player.

In any case, yesterday he played a terrible game. You could see his anxiety for the goal in his shots

Don't think he played bad at all, especially first half. Had some very good through balls, that resulted in a 1v1 and a penalty. Think people love to shit on him.

He's not exactly a playmaker, but still think he has everything to be the best box to box midfielder in the world. He played that position in his first period at Dortmund and was amazing. Never thought that his role at Real Madrid last season was sustainable, it was really unusual. If he could keep that up, he'd be one of the best midfielders/players of all time.

I absolutely do. He is very easy to dislike.
You are free to do so, but would be great if you can at least look at his performances objectively and not hold him to extreme standards that you don't use for other players (talking about posters in general).

I'm not a fan of him either per se, but think the criticism on him is often really overblown. Maybe the hype was as well at one point, but his first season for Real Madrid was pretty sensational.

It was, but his performances were going downhill towards the end of the season and they were followed by him having a very poor euros and now a very poor start to the season. He’s still playing with the same air of arrogance, so it’s hardly a shocker that people don’t like him all that much.

He is the example of praise getting to your head. Too many young players get arrogant and cocky too quickly. This hinders their careers, Jude thinking he is the main man, the man for England etc.. whilst not improving.

I wonder why young players cant stay humble and down to earth and focus on improving rather than thinking they are Zidane after a few good seasons.

It's only a very poor euros if you hold unrealistic standards for him yes. Not saying he set the world alight, but he was one of the better players in offense/midfield for England and was decisive in several moments. To me he was better than all of Rice, Mainoo, Trent, Foden, Kane. Only thought Saka/Palmer were on his level or better.

Not talking about him being disliked, more about the criticism and standards players use for him.

His overall performances were shit.

Palmer played 145 mins.

Right. Only capable of talking in extremes.
It is so annoying that everything has to be binary. You are either world class or trash - no in betweens. It is ridiculous.
Bellingham scored many lucky last minute goals last season and got hyped over the moon. Make no mistake, he is a good player and young enough to become a great one.

Not sure how it’s extreme. Bellingham was given a central role and was supposed to be Englands key player, but he didn’t deliver. Performance wise, he didn’t have any matches where he was a stand out performer, instead he had a few moments.

To be honest with you, I don't watch him or Madrid very often so I don't comment on his performances. I just like hearing that he isn't doing particularly well.

That's life eh. If you get hyped to ridiculous levels, you should really expect the criticism to be just as harsh. There's not going to be any in-between given the ludicrous hype early last season.

The Mbappe signing has really hurt him. He's very skilled technically but to be an attacking/creative midfielder for Madrid you need the 10/10 guile and technique of a Kroos or Modric which he just doesn't have. He's still young so maybe they'll find a way to get a tune out of him in midfield.

But people told us that he has elitest goatest mentality and is not a dick. Couldn't be happier with how the things are going for him now.

Gets goals(used to) but every time I watch him, his genral play is awful. Reminds me of Dele Alli.

I mean, considering the expectations that people were making, he was bound to fail from the start.
"The next Zidane that is scoring like Ronaldo". That kind of expectation is just impossible to maintain and no matter what he does, it will always look like a failure in some way.

He is really good, young, and has great potential. Although in the last few months, he was a bit underwhelming, he will bounce back.

He's more of a Gerrard and Lampard type of player rather than a Zidane, Madrid, Xavi or Iniesta. It's why his best form was when he was the main guy of the team.

He looks a bell in this outfit.

Since when is an AM expected to put out Ronaldo goal scoring numbers? He is not a CF is he? And now he is in an awkward position to always score goals while Mbappe, the number 9 is pissing about in antartica nowhere to be seen because hes playing as the AM!!!

Hash tag Free Mbappe. Hash tag Free Bellingham.

He's extremely similar. Prime Alli was also heavily linked with a big money move to Real.

Bellingham is more complete. At Dortmund Bellingham did play a different role than attacking midfielder.

Last season Real Madrid didnt really have a center forward and Bellingham was scoring Ronaldo numbers from midfield. That made him an attacking midfielder but at Dortmund he was playing as a more well rounded midfielder in my opinion.

Not sure the 19th century midwest dandy look will catch on.

He is undoubtedly a talented player with determination and great physical attributes, but for the last year or so he has given the impression of an angry persona on the pitch and it just isn't helping his game. Arguing with refs, players and media is hurting him. If he could play with a smile on his face and enjoy his football dream he is living it probably will improve his game. However I think he believes he should be a Ballon Dor contender which he is never quite going to be in that bracket.

Yea in the summer he spent half his off time arguing with the media/haters.

But why?
I know he's a determined individual but really needs to chill and show some composure.
He may be likeable once he does.

He played a 9.5 basically last season, wasn't really a midfielder. His natural position is an AM, you really don't want him deeper.

Think he would do well playing as one of the 10s behind the striker. Not that we’re ever going to sign him.
