Jude Bellingham | Real Madrid player

Real Madrid spent close to 200m on Jovic and Hazard, two colossal failures. They just disappeared from the pitch quickly and other players stepped up.

First 100m+ player to increase his value (immediately)?

Genuine bargain for Real Madrid. Infuriating to be honest.

tbf they put their money where their mouth is and it worked for them. Love their recruitment to bring in young hungry talent like Tchouameni, Camavinga and Bellingham. I and so many of us United fans wanted all three of them but alas we are a poorly run club at the moment.

Better than Gullit and Matthäus. Has better technique than them but also just as versatile. Better than Zidane in terms of end product but not at Zidane's skill level yet but he has time and I think he'll get there.

Only 20 years old however. Barring injuries he has the capability to level Messi, CR7, Maradona. Time will tell but he's looking hot.

This is even worse than the last post I quoted

So much nonsense spewed, but the fact that you think Jude Bellingham can level Messi, Maradona and even CR7 is simply shocking. Awful WUM.

Totally agree, we’re a shambles.

Now this is a player. And he is far from the finished article yet.

People going nuts over Declan Rice on another thread. Really?

In a different universe we end up with both Haaland and Bellingham before either go to Dortmund. Imagine.

Would you agree that Bellingham at 18, 19 and 20 is outperforming CR7 at 18, 19 and 20?

I wouldn't say Bellingham at Dortmund was better than Cristiano at the same age. This season is a different question, he's been great obviously. But it's been 10 games or so, maybe give it a little time before making such statements. For what it's worth, it doesn't seem as if he'll continue putting up stats quite as good as this. And he hasn't won anything yet either. Currently, he profits a lot from playing in a system that allows him to roam freely but it remains to be seen if this system is really capable of winning Madrid big trophies.

We'd ruin both for sure. We don't exactly have a brilliant recent track-record of nurturing young talent. They both ended up exactly where they needed to be - not here.

With competent owners, we would have gotten him, Kane and Rice this window. But we are owned by useless scum.

And Arsenal ended up with Ronaldo, Messi and pretty much every great player from the last 20 years. People obsess too much on these transfers - big clubs try for great talents and often fail.

Jude is the real deal.

Real Madrid got very lucky with him. I'd say - he is by far he best of large-money signings past Summer

This is the kind of player we used to sign under Fergie.
Now, any sane talented young player, looking at his career, will be foolish not to avoid us.
As much as it pains me, this guy and his parents made the right career choice. Fair play to him.

Independent of trophies, Bellingham definitely made the best choice for his career in terms of personal accolades. Once he performs at Madrid, he will get individual recognition and hype that he would not be matched at any other club, except perhaps Barcelona

I think Guti should wait at least a few seasons to state something like that.

Messi and Ronaldo reached phenomenal heights and could sustain their greatness consistently for many seasons which is incredibly hard.

Let's just enjoy (or suffer if you are supporting the other team) with what the player is doing so far, which is good enough on its own merit. That other imagined future does not exist.

I’m not saying that he’s correct, or that Bellingham may ever reach those heights, it’s more just that you won’t really get that kind of hype at any other club

How come Real Madrid manage to sign such top players from BVB while we get Sancho and Mikhi from them ? For God's sake.
Since Ferguson left, how many transfers can you say they have been outstanding success? Bruno is the one that comes to mind. I will think its almost 9 fails for 1 success. Sancho in another system might be killing it

Herrera, Shaw, Zlatan and Bruno. Only 4.

Goal scoring is additive once you start a scoring streak and you hear fans chant your name, you have a celebration style, You wont want to stop.
I see his future in attack. Goal scorers are hard to find and if you get one who knows how to stick it in, coaches tweak their setup to put him closest to opponent goal. This season might be the 2006/07 breakout Ronaldo transformation season for him or like the 2017 Salah transformation

Shaw took time, for a while under Mou he looked like a dud and waste, Zlatan didn't stay too long just 1 season injury free. but 4 is a very low success rate in 10yrs
