Jude Bellingham | Real Madrid player

Just scored again.
Meanwhile Tchouameni plays as CB today. Quite funny how a lot of people were wondering why Real sign their next central midfielder, and now five of them are playing together today, only Kroos on the bench.

10 goals, 3 assists in 10 appearances thus far.

Probably would've got that here in 2 years combined.

Can't work out if La Liga is crap, or Bellingham is the best !

Wait until next year. After everything that he has done in the game, the underestimating of Mbappe continues...
Mbappe did it to himself by playing for PSG and never winning UCL

Don't get me wrong, he is a clearly a very special player but as much as it pains me to say this, at some point he will eventually stop scoring in pretty much every game. It's impossible to maintain such a high level for a player not being the main reference in attack in his team. If you pay attention to his goals yesterday, he was parting from midfield with 4 and 6 players in front of him for his first and second goals respectively. Many of his goals have been like these, with him starting his movement far away from the rival goal and finding the right space to score. Another example would be the goal vs Napoli a few days ago. From my point of view, these goals are a great occasional contribution from an attacking midfielder throughout a competition, but for a player to score 30+, 40+ goals in a season, which is the projection this footballer has at the moment, a different role is required, and also probably to be the first penalty taker, which he is not now.

Clear early favorite for the Ballon.
Needs to win some serious silverware (and preferably the Champions League). They won't give you the Ballon d'Or if you don't regardless of performance.

Yeah but at this point nobody is close to any silverware so you can only go based on performance, of which nobody is doing any better.

Quite a talent. Also don't think its at all a bad thing for the National team that two of the best English players are playing outside of the PL.

Will surpass the likes of Cruyff, Zidane and Platini once he’s finished his career, arguably on a par already.

Now, now, let's not be ridiculous. It's an exceptional start to his Real Madrid career, but perhaps we can let him finish a season with them before proclaiming him the greatest thing to ever touch a pitch?

Waaaaay too soon with all the comparisons and Golden Ball talk. For all we know he doesn’t score or assist from here on out.

Been a brilliant start and hopefully he keeps it up. But so many things can go wrong: injuries, suspensions, drop in form etc etc. And we have won feck all yet, see where we end up at the end of the season.

Better than Gullit and Matthäus. Has better technique than them but also just as versatile. Better than Zidane in terms of end product but not at Zidane's skill level yet but he has time and I think he'll get there.

Only 20 years old however. Barring injuries he has the capability to level Messi, CR7, Maradona. Time will tell but he's looking hot.

Wow, the levels of hyperbole on this thread are astonishing. Can we not all agree he is an outstanding young player, already established at an elite level, without the need to draw comparisons with Zidane, Gullit, Platini, etc?

He’s undoubtably got a long, illustrious career ahead of him (barring injury) yet he still has it all to prove over an extended duration of time. That’s what separates certified GOATS, that they have do it year-in year-out without any drop-offs.

Bellingham has played 10 games. The likelihood is he won’t maintain this level and he’ll drop off for some reason. Even just a 10%/20% drop off will mean he’s performing well, just perhaps not at freak levels.

At least make the WUMing subtle.

I think he’ll ascend into heaven and take his seat at the right hand of the father. Leaving us with famine and war as things of the past.

His goalscoring form as attacking midfield has been insane.

Modern day Zico/Platini? (I know they are nothing alike but their goalscoring stats as midfielder are all insane)

I understand what you are saying but it still looks insane to put his name next to people like that. Maybe in the future it won't seem so insane.

Best comparison is kaka at ac Milan with the added bonus that he is playing in the modern game

They also signed Nuri Sahin some years ago who was the heart of Klopp's Dortmund and he didn't impress. Not every transfer is a success in that direction.

Yeah, I really wanted him to make it at Madrid so we also sign a bunch of players who, despite being very talented, can't make it work in the team for a number of reasons. Still I think the difference with Manchester United is that they tend to stick way too long with underperforming players instead of just cutting their losses and seek somewhere else. That makes for a culture of lower standards.

First 100m+ player to increase his value (immediately)?

Genuine bargain for Real Madrid. Infuriating to be honest.

What a special player.

England's midfield is looking great for the forseeable future.

This is actually understated, compared to what some people have been coming out with :D :D

They're like the opposite of United where every expensive player they sign is quality. Annoying
