Interesting that he has a sack watch thread and Ole doesn't.

We didn't have one for Jose, Van Gaal and Moyes too IIRC but we had for managers like Pep, Klopp, Conte and other great managers.

He really is a complete ‘has been’ in the champions league isn’t he?

I mean, with Kane out and Son out... plausible deniability for Jose?

Leipzig were missing all three of their first choice centre-backs, so it cancels out. Not that he will care though.

He's just trying to nick results playing long ball. That's all he does now, and it's why the underlying metrics still don't indicate much improvement for Spurs under him. Just like was the case with United he refuses to be proactive in a match until the situation absolutely calls for it.

The game has well and truly passed him out. Similar to when Arrigo Sacchi couldn't cope anymore when his style of football was replicated and improved by everyone else.

If Spurs hadn't played in the final last year, tonight it would've been fantastic lecture for the heritage:lol:

Late stage Mourinho has been a depressing watch.

If you told him to walk through a door he’d insist on crouching down on the spot and waiting for the door to come to him. He makes it so hard for his teams to go out there and just do the simple thing of trying to win a game of football.

Strikers much more important though and harder to replace. But whatever, continue with the agenda

Thought when the draw has been made it is pretty much the worst one for him. Young, progressive coach/kid with a team who will attack and where he will go into it as a slight favorite. He would set up the team exactly the same with Son/Kane and the last 20 minutes showed he could go into it differently, injuries or not.

 That's great.

You're right though.

He was always a defensive manager who would wait for the opposition to make a mistake then pounce but he was definitely braver and more proactive as a younger man. As he's gotten older he's become even more negative and his teams now go into big games and it seems like there's no plan at all on how to attack.

It's like he settles for a 0-0 every time he plays a decent team.

I swear there were times I thought I was watching us tonight. Everyone just strolling around, no pressing or intensity, finally someone makes a surging run from midfield that goes nowhere. Wasteful corners.

 Leipzig were playing with a back 3 consisting of two full-backs and a 19 year old defensive midfielder.

Yeah, but to take an advantage of that you would have to attack.

Yeah but my point is correct

Wasn't that long ago that Lucas helped you to the CL final.

Am I not allowed to defend my team from the relentless negatively in here? I made a valid point. Strikers are much more important and harder to replace than defenders. That's just a fact.

It's hardly ideal to not have your first 3 centre-backs available, is it? It was a complete makeshift defence for Leipzig and Mourinho didn't go for it as much as he should have.

I'm not saying it not a big problem for them, it clearly is. I'm just making the point that our situation is much more impactful than theirs is. In my opinion of course.

Same old Mourinho! Take it up with your chairman, not the FA.

Typical Jose referencing the likes of Nkunku, Poulsen and Forsberg like they are world beaters

Jesus what was that interview then? Very early to be like this. Proper rant and aggression with the interviewer and full of excuses. Very diversionary.

Well, if I were you, playing at home and seeing that Leipzig defence, I wouldn't be happy with that approach, regardless of you missing Kane and Son.

He's a fecking weirdo Jose.

What the hell was that?

I know Ole ultimately isn't good enough but I'm still so glad Mourinho isn't our manager anymore.

The capitulation is already starting.

"We came to a gun fight with no bullets" way to throw Lucas, Alli and Bergwin under the bus.

Talking about shite like Poulson and Nkunku with envy as if they are world class

To be fair Nkunku has been very good for Leipzig this season. :wenger:
