What has happened to all his avid fans though because this forum was split in two during his time here. There must be quite afew people who simply can’t believe that such a world class manager could fail yet again. I’m just praying that Ole can finish second with a close enough gap to city and win the Europa so we can say without any doubt that he’s a better manager for us than Mourinho (which he is anyway for me). Even then his cult will point to the points tally difference.

What club will take another punt at him? Juventus?

Only one i can see is Portugal NT.
But i guess there might be more stupid teams out there that thinks he might still got it.

A good chunk of those supporting Jose would have been in denial for a while, I include myself in that.

A lot of footy fans don't want to admit their managers are shite until it's past the point of no return, so kid themselves into thinking they're on the right track.

With hindsight hiring him was a horrible decision.

Being in London is important to him. So unless he pivots and takes the Arsenal job, I don't see a place for him outside of the Sky studio. I doubt even Palace would consider him unless Roy calls it a day.

Noah Solskjaer, the son of the Red Devils manager has responded to the words from the Tottenham coach.

“Yes, I laughed well on Sunday. I always get food. I can assure everyone about that,” Noah told local newspaper Tidens Krav, as relayed by Dagbladet.

The 20-year-old currently represents Norwegian side Kristiansund BK and he was prepared for questions directed to him the next day in training.

“Yes, Max [Williamsen] asked me if I had been given food when he met me before training today. I had never been lying down the way Son did. Mourinho probably just wanted to take the focus away from the fact that they had lost,” Noah concluded.

I'm still genuinely baffled as to what's happened with Mourinho. I mean, this was a manager not that long ago was considered one of, if not the best managers in world football. His achievements with Porto and Inter are incredible, his chelsea team were free flowing and bulldozed everyone in the league, including Ferguson's Man Utd! He was a suave, sophisticated, confident man that just exuded swagger.

Now...he looks broken, sad and haggard. His personality is so off putting, constantly criticising players, always blaming others when things don't go his way. It's never this fault, no way! And the football, dear god its do dull, lifeless and cowardly. Was he always like this?? If the young Mourinho saw what he's become now, he would be repulsed. Where exactly did it go wrong for him and why has it gotten so bad??

Does he genuinely care any more? Seems like he's living in the past way too much.

He had a world class 10 years or so but his constant trouble making isn't doing him any favours.

He cares but just cannot cope anymore with competition imo. Won the league in 2015 but ever since Klopp and Pep came in they got the whole PL on another level and others (Mourinho, Wenger) couldn't keep up with them. I actually don't look at his period at United as horrible, we won few trophies in the first season and then finished 2nd next season (I'm maybe naive but if it wasn't for Pep I think we would maybe even won Premier league then, we picked up a lot of points and DDG was exceptional). Of course everything collapsed in 3rd season but we expected it really and he didn't do any damage transfers wise.

At Spurs though, except that september-december 2020 period, they looked pretty meh ever since he came in. Knocked out of UCL by Leipzig easily, knocked out of Europa against Dinamo after 2-0 lead, knocked out of cups and about to finish in worse position than last season. Winning Carabao cup would be the only good thing of his reign so far.

But it is a long time ago. It's 7 years since he won a major trophy and yes he was always a short term manager who hung players out to dry in public and his methods upset certain players but if you're winning you can get away with it for a while.

The difference was he used to have success in the first couple of years and jump ship before it got too bad. A lot of coaches become more conservative as they get older anyway which is a factor but the game has moved on and he hasn't adapted so all you're left with are his worst traits and poor results.

As I have previously stated he is starting to sound more and more like Rafa Benitez

I backed him up until it was clear he’d totally lost his mind  I still had some residual mistrust of the players that the owners backed over the manager but a clean slate is the way to go. I can’t believe spurs took him on considering the mess hed just left us and Chelsea in and how bad the football was here. he had almost unlimited resources he still couldn’t make it work. When he rocked up to Spurs he was telling everyone that this is a better squad than at United. I think anger and self preservation cloud his judgement far too often for him to be a useful coach anymore.

Ole’s son (not Son) seems to have more sense that the media in figuring our Mou*has been*rinho

Strictly speaking, Solskjaer actually has won those as well, just as a player not a manager.
I'd absolutely love for him to clap back with that.

"Some of us can talk about playing at the highest level, only Guardiola can talk to me about that"

I not only want Ole to succeed because it's great for United but I also want him to succeed because it destroys Mourinho's fragile ego.

Clearly he has lost his mojo and with this Spurs team he is highly unlikely to achieve anything there. MLS or China will be his eventual destination, he has worn out all good faith in the premier league.

Idk how clubs keep hiring him... he should be non-hirable at the highest level at this point

I'm talking about summer of 2018. Club didn't let him sell Martial and Pogba and buy Willian or Perišić. If they did, it would have been a disaster.

Before that, I'm okay with our business in 2016-2018 period, bar the Alexis signing. Lukaku didn't work out but at least we sold him for similar amount to Inter. Same with Mkhitaryan.

Ahh ok, that makes more sense :)

Waiting now Jose's son (real son, not Son) to jump to defend his father.

I don't want to see Jose succeed at another PL team, but it is truly sad to watch the rapid decline. He should stick with talking about the games while he can still get that gig.

He has 'only' one Champions League though.

A final where he scored the winner. I'm pretty sure that ranks much higher in anyone's book than sliding on the sidelines in a cashmere sweater. If Jose wants to pull the trophies card, Ole is the last person he should do it against.

Maybe Ole should point out that he has won more than Jose and that he's actually played football at the highest level, winning everything and knows what it takes from both sides.
