It clearly eats Mourinho up to see how Ole is getting a tune out of the same players Mourinho was too inept to

Mourinho will lose them other things, such as money for missing out on EL/CL, wont lose them Kane though, almost nobody can afford him regardless.
Yeah I don't think Spurs should be worried about losing Kane. Unless he has decided to cut his wages, nobody can afford him, especially taking into account his transfer fees. He's doomed.

Because Ole said he wouldn't feed his son if he acted like Son.

Thanks for the context but the quote itself makes no sense. Bread is bread and cheese is cheese, we are missing the meaning of the portuguese idiom.

Next game Mourinho pulls out three cheeses for every title HE won.

Wensleydale, Stilton and Dairylea Slices

I get it. In Germany we say sausage is sausage and beer is beer.:lol:

Ole just stated in his post-match interview if his son got touched to that extent and he spent 3 minutes on the ground with 10 mates around him he'd be disciplined. Ole basically used a metaphor and a figure of speech which he applied to Son's (footballer) behaviour which is not literally applicable. I'm sure he wouldn't deprive him of food. Jose is diverting his inept teams' performance.

Just like at the beginning of the season this was an ideal time to play United for Spurs after the Europa game in Spain and then travel to London and still they were second best for most of the game. The quality of attacking players Jose has at his disposal must be frustrating for the Spurs fans the style of football being played under his management. Worse still, post-match headlines are about Jose.

I think someone said it's supposed to mean a lack of class, cheese gets better with age and bread is always bread, or something like that. So Ole lacked class according to Jose.

Jose is a master at deflection, only problem is he deflects it to make myself look like a tit. Ole's reference was clearly an exaggeration to call out what was clearly an exaggeration from Son and his teammates. Gotta laugh at Jose for taking it so literal

Thanks that makes more sense, though cheese doesn't necessarily age well.

That part was by way of a segue into the fact that he told Ole to his face he wasn't impressed with his comments.

He said 'because with me, as we say in Portugal bread is bread and cheese is cheese, I've told Ole already what I thought'

From looking online it means 'it is what it is' but in this context, it appears to mean to that he speaks his mind.

Yes, what an incredible job he has done:lol:
Picked up a perennial top 4 team that often contended and has them 6 points behind David Moyes' Westham and will have the lowest points total Spurs have had since atleast 2015.

Picked up a UCL finalist and just got eliminated in the Europa League by getting his tactics wrong and blew a 2-0 lead.

All this with what is - in his own words - an incredible squad with better players than he had at United. Tremendous, indeed!

I dont think you understood what I was getting at. He has been terrible, but Arteta has been much worse.

Média chase narratives instead of telling it like it is. Mourinho is a spent force, but others get the benefit of the doubt for no particular reason.

You think a Tottenham team who have recently had a champions league final, come 2nd with a few top 4s, brought in a guy on the highest wages they've ever paid in their history for a guy to get them to 7th?

Again it’s been awful, but Spurs had a really excellent manager who overachieved with this squad. Mourinho is a spent force in football and it’s taking teams a long time to realize that.

But we tend to rewrite how good squads are dependent on how a team is doing. I am guilty of it too.

But this Spurs team is no worse than Arsenal, yet Arteta is still praised and encouraged in the media. The squad looks worse only because he is doing such a bad job.

What does that tweet even mean?
He's saying there is no excuse or attenuating circumstances and Ole for him is out of his league while Jose is still relevant. Well, we know that this is exactly the opposite now.

I think it means you should call a spade a spade, don’t mince your words, speak plainly rather than in riddles...which seems a little ironic!

Pão e pão, queijo e queijo
Indeed.
