First thing a coach has to do bring in the fire in the team. He didn't do that today, so he can only blame himself. Blame the players is easy, don't understand why clubs keep giving him chances, so overrated. When he won it was with luck or just parking the bus, when he was at big teams where winning is normal he didn't deliver.

We all knew how this would end up, yet Levy signed a 40m clause on his contract. What an idiot

He started well, but they have declined big time since the start. Just like Liverpool to be fair.

He doesn't know how to set up in big games anymore and can't protect results. It was similar with us to be fair.

Anyone fancy digging out some quotes from their forum? The talking cock or whatever it's called.

Think they are starting to have some doubts...

We are basically the guy that got the dream girl from school only now it’s 30 years later, she has 5 kids, a drug problem with a feck load of debt.

If that ain’t Spursy then I don’t know what is.

Priti Patel should stop the fecker coming back in the country. He's a fecking football terrorist.

Jose is so fecking lucky that he came in during the empty stadiums period. He would have been hearing boos and seeing Jose Out banners for fecking months by now.

OUR WORST MANAGER OF THE LAST DECADE!

My wife is even laughing at us.

My gran is laughing at us, and she's dead.

not a fan of Jose, and was glad when he left us but how the players are getting away with this and all the heat is on Jose is just wrong, his sacking will be coming soon, would actually play the young boys in the league final and leave all these pathetic players out of it. was one of the worst team performances i have ever seen from a team at that level. there very lucky there is no fans just now.

I have to ask, what has gone wrong? Why the horrible football? Cant he see if he plays that way it doesn't win any more, and he needs to adapt because the worst thing that will happen is they will be as bad as they are now anyway?

I think he tries to be more attacking and they score vs weaker sides. He is just not tactically very good anymore and not sure he coach attacking patterns that well or defensive patterns.

He is meant to be motivating them. This happened at United too. Pogba, Shaw, Lindelöf, McTominay all have gotten better since Jose left. Wonder why.

Either way the League Cup final is his last hope. Lose that and he'll be gone for sure. No chance of top 4 despite getting the players he wanted.

You have to wonder what's next for Jose.

this is gold

Browsing their forum, it's so bleak that there's a few who want Tactics Tim back.

if a professional footballer needs motivated by someone else they should not be in the game, have some self respect, he could win that but he will still be away, surely Levy would have a top 4 clause in the contract, which mean he will be paid less compensation,

not sure what could possibly be next for him, not really any money left in football due to the pandemic, at a push maybe a stint in italy, or more then likely full time on sky sports with Souness, Keane and Richards

As in any job a leader needs to motivate to get the best performance out of his staff. Jose has his way of doing things and it's not exactly played out brilliantly the last few years. He's been causing rifts within the squad all over the place and I frankly think it's nice that we now under Solskjaer, never hear about that nonsense in the papers anymore.

If you have ever worked under a bad manager in any profession you will know that it sucks any personal motivation you might have especially when said manager then proceeds to throw you under the bus when it’s clear to every man and his dog where the real issues are. I’ve said it all season and I’ll say it again, he’s so over the hill it’s ridiculous, I’ve put bets on left right and centre amongst family and friends that they would get nowhere near top 4 this season when they were top back in October and I’ve never felt so secure. He’s the worst manager in the premier league by a mile for me.

Yep you can say many things about Ole but one thing he’s got massively right is having the club and players all pulling in the same direction and going towards the same goals. Jose can’t do that as all he really cares about is his ego.

International management or a job in China beckons...

So maureen gets a lump sum of 40m if he's sacked ? Maybe maureen should take levy's job and appoint a manager in his place.

I had a look at thefightingcock before and he still has some acolytes left. One was even saying he was a success here!

What he did with Porto and Inter was beyond incredible. Above many/most other managerial 'successes'.
Dunno how to place him outside of that, the RM league notwithstanding.

Enigmatic?

He's clearly spent though and needs an extended break.

I just watched this and God this guy. The way he tries to subtlety throw them all under the bus is staggering. Just watch again and imagine being one of his players.

I like how he says my team cus I am there and then goes on to completely distance himself and the fans from his players.

I hate it when people try to play down his prior success as luck. He was an innovator and excellent at what he did.

His achievements at Porto and at Inter have remained unmatched and you are really stretching things if you try to downplay them. They were phenomenal achievements.

His Chelsea team was expensive but it took the PL by storm and raised the standard. He was a titan of his time.

The issue is, his ego hasn’t allowed him to question his methods and approach, and football has moved on. He probably could have learned and evolved and adapted had he allowed himself to, but his ego has got in the way and he is now a relic of the past.

No one can take away his achievements, because no one working in football today has done what he did, but he doesn’t have a place in the modern game anymore.

The very brash confidence and ego which made him so scary as an opponent has become his undoing. He is a victim of his own personality.

I feel a bit for Mourinho. You can see how much he really cares to be fair and that is a good trait. Although he also got that big ego that do not question himself when doing so.
He just can't stop his own emotions and attack his own players too much. That is what causes meltdowns etc. We will see when it happens with Spurs if he stays next season.

I refer to the famous words of Britney Spears when summarising the special ones career since he left Chelsea the second time round.

TOXIC

How can u feel sorry for him he's a shocking human being rich as feck and has no self awareness to know his failings. Ok im invested because he destroyed my love for the game and I'm just getting back into it but cmon the guys a horrible man and so far removed from what we as united fans love about the game gd luck spurs.

Has to be done now, the only thing saving his skin was the fact he could have brought in a trophy. Boring defensive football has to yield results, Spurs are in 8th, out of the Europa league. And a long shot to beat City in the final of the Carabao Cup, zero trophies and no top 4 I think he is done. If Spurs somehow luck their way past City and win the Carabao does Levy keep him around? Not that it is all on Jose, the Spurs squad has a lot of dross in it, but always cheaper to sack the manager and bring in a new one than rebuild the team.

If he loses the Carabao, which is the most likely result, he is most likely out the door, but where do Spurs go next, Nagelsmann?

He really cares though to be fair. You can see the hurt in him as much as you can see his smug joy when he wins.
Granted he mainly wants to win for his own ego I guess, but he got a softer side too.

You can like him when things go well for his team then turns toxic when things are not going his way.

Now his worst trait is that he blames other than himself and I think it has got worse with the years. He used to protect his players more in the past.

I think Real broke his confidence and now he is just too sensitive emotionally rather than emotionally strong.

is their squad that bad? I dont watch them a lot but was under the impression they have two decent players for each position and some class ones in there too. Just see them playing dier at centre half a lot and sissoko at cdm. Squre pegs round holes

The guys a grown man he can't blame Madrid for his change in persona. He's not in the higher echelons of managers for me. There's one I still think is head and shoulders.
