Good post match interview on Sky where he said we had lots of glimpses of the football we want to try to play. Admits Leicester was better than us in some periods. Also mentioned he would've liked to bring on Martial for 25 minutes if Pogba or Fred could've stayed on.

Kudos for starting Andreas. Midfield worked pretty well.

Doubt he's happy with our attack (never mind how we feel).

Said all the right things this weekend, in presser pre-match as well as post-match along with couple of interviews with that cnut Shreeves.

As always not much activity around here because he got the job done, knives will be well and truly out upon the next bad result.

They say that necessity is the mother of inventions, so let us hope Mourinho can reinvent himself out of necessity and get us playing some nice stuff and by doing so earn the trust of the board again, because as of right now, imo the board was right not to support him making us into an retirement home.

He has a good squad, some amazing players, some extremely talented players and the manager of his caliber should be able to get the very best out of them.

Great reaction to our second goal, loved the celebration and showed how much it meant to get the win.

Good on him, I’m still behind the special one.

That reaction for the second goal, and his attitude during the presser is refreshing. I enjoyed that and let's hope it continues in that manner.

Giving Shaw yet another chance
Starting Andreas
Starting Pogba and giving him captaincy
Putting faith in Bailly and Lindelof

*two thumbs up*

Could it be that Jose has decided to turn over a new leaf? Praising players, seemingly reconciling with Pogba, even saying how Martial could make a difference.....

He looks up for it. I think he'll relish being written off like he has been.

The meltdown talk was ridiculous given no football had been played and a lot of the so called negativity was really blown out of proportion. The media coverage has been ridiculous - Open season on United and especially the manager. Getting all the negative coverage without Wenger around to soak up some of their bullets. It would be so satisfying for us to go and have a great season.

He was very animated and emotive on the sidelines.

It was nice to see.

I still don't buy this tactical revamp Jose eludes to, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Though I really wouldn't care if he gets us the title winning like today.

I really hope so. Add to that, listening more to younger coaches like McKenna and Carrick in order to improve our attacking play.

Fingers crossed.

Positives - Shaw had an excellent game and it's nice to see Jose working with him to improve his level. After all the commotion he deserves some credit for Pogba's performance as well who was excellent.

Negatives - I still can't stand his cautious tactics. Manchester United sat camped in their half at OT against Leicester City just seems incredibly counter productive and not befitting of a club of this size. It's really tedious to watch and i can't help but feel it weakens us.

There was absolutely not sign of that today. Our football was timid as feck. The only reason we are watchable is because we love the club and due some exciting players like Pogba.

He did note in his post-match that Leicester had better spells than us.

So we'll see if he rectifies it going forward.

But yes, I didn't like that approach either.

It certainly wasn't great. I'm hoping it was down to players missing and that Carrick/McKenna influence will take time.

Might be wishful thinking though.

We won yesterday. A decent start to the season.
However, that was not the biggest positive for me.

The biggest positive was Jose's post match interviews. He was very good with his comments, bigging the team up. Giving due credit to pogba at the team.

He also acknowledged that Leicester were better and hinted that united played well for durations and played hours they wanted to play.

When united player well in bursts, they looked good and I hope it really becomes the usual style for us.

I complain about jose a lot and yesterday the game was not that great but we can give him some leeway with the players which were out and fred settling in.

If he keeps this attitude up he will form a great bond with the majority of United fans.

All the best to him and the club this season. I hope we can win the title.

Another team performing better than us happens. But the approach leaves me with little to no faith in Jose's methods. An early break with the penalty was the perfect reason to pile the pressure on Leicester. Instead we went with our mid table mentality once again.

On the flip side I'm really happy with the performances of Periera, Shaw and Bailley.

Looked really up for it and upbeat on the sideline yesterday. It was nice to see. I don't necessarily want to see him jumping and screaming like that fecking clown from Liverpool, but was nice to see him celebrate that Shaw goal with his staff.

Full of praise for everyone which was nice to hear and see. Really positive, long may or continue. :)

Interesting that Luke Shaw told Sky that Jose was disappointed with him not going forward more. Hasn’t the media been telling us Jose hates fullbacks going forwards? As though Jose never managed Ashley Cole and Marcelo. Like Jose didn’t turn Ivanovic into a goal getting right back.

The laziness and truisms the media fall back on when it comes to Mou are shocking. None of what Shaw said will be reflected on because it doesn’t suit the agenda. I wouldn’t be surprised if the pundits on BT and Sky say today that Jose doesn’t want his defenders joining the attack.

It's easy to do when a lot of our fans just eat it up.

Fair point. At the end of the day they’re selling content like everyone else and they need them clicks. If they know that our fans will buy the BS they’ll keep spewing it out.

I caught a little of Soccer Saturday just now, and they were talking about Jose celebrating Shaw's goal. They cut to the footage and basically scoffed at it. Said it was fake and forced and he wasn't genuine. I'm not his number one fan, but the shit he gets is ridiculous. Even when he celebrates a goal they find something snide to say.

I’m not even slightly surprised. If it doesn’t suit the narrative so they dismiss it. The media and the pundits hate him as much as they hate Man Utd. Him being our manager has only increased how much hate comes both our ways. If Jose gave sick kids cookies they’d probably speculate that he’d done it cos the biscuits had gone off in his cupboard!

His celebration was really genuine. I've never seen him like that before. It's like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and even throughout the game he was really agitated that we kept missing the chance to score the 2nd goal. He knows the pressure is really extreme and whilst I am Jose out and have been for a while there's no good in waiting for a meltdown. A meltdown means us doing badly on the pitch. I don't agree with his approach to football but the best outcome for everyone is to have a great season and for the manager to succeed. I hope we can have a successful year.

Yeah i was saying in the post match thread that he looked really upbeat on the sideline yesterday. It was nice to see him celebrate like that. I'm not his number one fan like i said, but i still believe in him as a manager. Hopefully him being pissed off will be a good thing. 'Cause it's not the players he's pissed off with, but the board and the media really. Gonna be an interesting season. Could go both ways, tbh

That’s pathetic. How producers let them talk this kind of nonsense is beyond me, but of course hating on United gets lots of views/clicks/laughs etc.

Most dumb and idiotic comment of the century, there is a reason he chose to go to City instead and it's not cause they are the bigger club they obviously aren't but they definitely had by far the better squad of player, he didn't come here cause he knew it's a damn hard job, you'd think after 3 coaches struggling in this club fans would realise the biggest problem is many of the shite players all of them had to deal with. And there is a possibility that both parties didn't want to work together cause most likely United wouldn't meet his transfer demands? We are fecking struggling to buy one defender for fecks sake where as Pep can buy WHOEVER he wants cause oil. So shut up with your stupid nonsense the only thing I will give you is he would play more attractive football even with this set of players but in no way would he be more successful, no chance, period.

Probably has something to do with Txiki Begiristain and Feran Soriano, his former Barca people, being at City.

I thought he did well, I expected him to mope around a bit but he got right behind the players and showed a lot of love to even the ones not on his good side before like Shaw and Pereira. Even name dropped Martial a few times in the post game press conference saying he wanted to bring him on in the final 20 minute so he could stretch the game and get the 2nd goal with his quality. I appreciated that.

I don't know what to say anymore. Its been a mess this season.

Fractured relationship with the board
Fractured relationship with the players
Fractured relationship with the media
Fanbase in general meltdown.

He is the well and truly the most divisive manager we have ever had. Every thing they said about him at Chelsea and Real Madrid is true.

He might still win a trophy or two this season, but it has come at a seriously high cost to our reputation.

Mourinho let the briefings from the board about his signings pretty much slide the other night

Made Pogba captain won the game too
Praised Pogba & Shaw and even threw an olive branch to martial and explained he wanted him on

And now Pogba attacks him again pretty much

I doubt he will leave it slide this time though I hope he does

I’ve always been a Mourinho fan. But now I think he is starting to lose it. He is definitely not the special one anymore.

Get off his back for a moment and wait at least till half the season. I don't think he's done much wrong during his time here.
This forum has been guilty of treating Woodward like some superhero for past 3 seasons.
This forum has sided with Pogba now. Remember when Rooney asked for a better contract how we reacted? No player is above the manager, ever.
Mourinho is being demonized by this forum because they're bored of him and lack patience.

Sorry but that just isn’t true at all. Most of us are sick to death of his negative attitude and the dull as feck football he has the team playing.
