I think it’s clear that Jose has his favourites. Those who are in that group, they absoubtly love him - outside of that you have players who have conflict with him. He is like marmite. There seems to be very little middle ground with him.

I'd assume that as long as you're a decent footballer you can get into that group of "favourites". You just have to be all in, no nonsense.

I think your right - what’s clear is that Jose looks for players with the right attitude (according to him), and if you have that, they you are in that group. I largely agree with him, and let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want the likes of Terry, Lampard and Drogba fighting for the team on the pitch.

Howwver, those sorts of players ( Utd versions are Robson, Keane, Butt, Neville, Vidic, Rio, Evra etc), are few and far between - and maybe that’s where Jose is struggling. He’s struggling to manage Gen Z and their dance moves/ social media presence.

Even if that article was true, it's got nothing worth discussing on Jose's part. Pogba is the one I'd have an issue with. Telling him to speak to his agent is ridiculous, we employ Pogba, not Mino fecking Raiola.

This.

Of course, it might not be true but if it is then it reflects VERY badly on Pogba. He’s a grown ass man, talk to your boss for feck sake. World Cup win gone to his head.

Jose and Pogba having their differences is now common knowledge. But I am not going to believe "scoops" and "exclusives" on the subject by Fat Man unless other reputed journalists report similar things as well. The Sun literally make up shite and do not even try to hide it.

I really can't understand why people on here give the sun any attention. When have they been right about anything ?

I feel like we've gone back in time to 2012...Guy is an arse!
Half expecting Danny Welbeck to miss a sitter on Sunday against Brighton

It all starts with the sun then the metro and the mirror and the likes pick it up, then before you know it all the foreign tabloids start reporting it as fact.

I think with the level of disharmony at United it wouldn't be a big surprise if Mourinho was gone by next summer or before.

While Custis and Castles are basically Mourinho propagandists I think it's naive to think Raiola isn't heavily involved in whatever issues they have.

I think Pogba being offered to City infuriated Mourinho.

I think this is the only sign of him being "outdated" if that is even the right term to use. The fame is more instant and the money kicks in much earlier, so it's presumably rarer to find that professional mentality. If there is a DoF to be installed then they really need to do due diligence on the "profile of player" as Jose likes to call it, or their mentality. Loads of promising younger players out there but most are probably not cut out for the pressure cooker that is United. Memphis is a prime example.

Hypothetically speaking, what would Jose do if the players collectively decided to only play attacking football?

Nah - Pogba doesn't like him but I don't think he'll murder him tbh.

They didn't go over the top. Merely Ben Kingsley referring to our OT game as "possession football vs park-the-bus", which is more of a reference to the City song about United. Just the papers being too sensational, some banter is expected considering the rivalry. I'd say Lingard singing that feck City song after the EL final when City had just posted a message of unity over the Manchester bombing was far more serious.

Neither club is above this sort of banter, and that's fine.

Anybody see Jose's interview on Soccer Saturday?

"Liverpool trying to buy the title"

"You can't by class" - In reference to city

Decent interview. Got under Phil Thompson's skin

I just saw it - according to him we're paying Sanchez 900k a week

He's on form and has fire in his eyes.

Loved his interview on SSN. Shots fired at City, Pool etc

He’s back.

This is the Jose I thought we were getting. Throwing shots at the rest left, right and centre. If we have a good run, and are near the top of the league at the turn of the year, I’m looking forward to him turning up the heat.

Pretty ridiculous coming from him seeing he himself has no class.

The man who poked Vilanova in the eye and called him Pito before that. Will always be known as a eye poking cnut to many.

He blamed UNICEF after Madrid lost 2-0 to Barca. Not classy either.

He completely made up an incident between Rijkaard and the ref Anders Frisk, causing Frisk to retire due to death threats. He then joked about this.

He was completely classless about Ranieri a decade ago, only to then wear a jacket with CR embroidered on it last year.

He called Wenger a voyeur at a time when rival fans were calling Wenger a pedo. Wenger almost sued him.

The whole Eva Carneiro thing, and many more incidents. Bobby Charlton had it right years ago when he said Mourinho wasn't a Manchester United manager

Should be the last person to talk about class. Don't expect many in here to accept that, though. Too many Mourinho stans here.

Why would any united fan watch willingly that crap. Who the feck cares about the irrelevant bitters fed by dirty oil money.

I am annoyed of the acceptance of sorts that clubs like City and PSG have gotten the last few years. I often hear them mentioned among the big clubs, which is wrong. To be a big club you need to build a pedigree over decades, to be a rich and competitive club you only need investment and a rich owner.

The concept of rich and big club seems to have gotten mixed for a lot of people.

Didn't watch it but I've read some articles about how it paints us and Mourinho.
