It always amazes me stuff like this, how it’s allowed / goes unchallenged giving its duplicitous nature. I’m going to assume you’re against Barton due to his hating on woman, which the evidence you’ve provided for this is compelling.

Then in response to Barton’s “hate” you want to see him die in a brutal fashion. You’re never going to solve “hate” with hate! Wanting to murder someone for their political views is terrorist 101.

It's not condescending. It was just strange that you couldn't tell that someone who experiences autism is a particularely unkind target for an old creep to sexualize in an extremely public manner.

As I said maybe you hadn't read Barton's full post or it was just part of your trying to nitpick me. Either of which is fine but if you genuinely didn't get it then you probably do need to consider why not.

I've got better things to do with my time than spend any time whatsoever considering the thoughts and actions of Joey Barton to be honest mate. The less attention people give him the better.

As for Greta, I had no idea she suffered from autism as I barely knew anything about her, so I didn't see how it was relevant initially till I googled her. Just thought he was having a dig at her appearance and nothing more because he's a cnut. To be fair it's possible that he doesn't even know.

I believe it's widely known but you not knowing is reasonable enough. But yes she does experience Autism and that definitely makes it even creepier that Joey Barton is talking about her like that to try and get "lols" from the idiots who follow him.

Do you not believe that those he is talking about also work in complete hyperbole?

No one is going to lock up Joey Barton and burn him.

It is also pretty reasonable to listen to his views, have your own objective experience of the world and decide there is no deeper meaning that the world is missing out on or that needs deeper critical analysis.

He is not speaking from an educated position, his views are extremely basic and delivered in an intentionally abrasive fashion.

If that then leads to the majority saying "oh shut up Joey just go to an island somewhere" that's a reflection on his ability to convey his ideas not on those he's trying to make listen.

It was intriguing that he was subscribed to the most notorious cocaine dealer on twitter, and quickly unsubbed once people clocked it. I reckon Mr. Barton is off his head most of the time he's tweeting incendiary things.

It’s classic doublethink though, I see it all the time, against hate while hating. Take your post argument at an abstract level switch a few words and likely you would be banned / arrested(having an opinion is dangerous these days).

As for critical thinking, the MSM narrative round Barton is all agenda, narrative, hyperbole driven for clicks and advertisement revenue. Much like he and others are doing. Different smells off the same big turd. I do note a broken clock is right twice a day, and that he does chat a lot of wham.

Even as a pacifist I find I am unable to disagree with all of this including your last sentence (I jest of course - I’m not actually advocating for that to happen).
 
His post about Celtics left back Greg "4ft" Taylor is pathetic/hilarious. Taylor absolutely minced him in a tackle when barton played in Scotland and wasn't good enough at football for it. 6/7 years later he's still rattled by the tackle

Was saying in my group chat this morning, he reminds me of a teenage bully who's just discovered social media. He argues like a teenager too, but seems to think he's really coherent and profound. I feel sorry for anyone who likes his interactions or agrees with his views.

This interaction was extremely telling of the kind of person he is and absolutely hats off to the response from the guy.

People hate Barton because he hates people (and tries to profit off it). It's not a circle. If he could stop hating, harassing, harming people, maybe nobody would fantasize about harming him.

Not tolerating intolerance is not intolerance, and it's worrisome it has to be reiterated in 2024.

My favourites are the people pointing out his blatant hypocrisy and obvious grifting. Moaning about pride flags and bisexual england kits when he was wearing headbands and loving rainbow laces a decade ago, or when he pretended he was an intellectual for a bit until Zlatan mugged him off. When you see how easily he changes his stance it's just sad that the "anti-woke and women are bad" take is being such a success for him.

The guy's a melt.
