Joao Felix

Jury out on Endrick seems harsh
Not a single minute in a top league yet, so it's still too early to predict anything. He looks good, but we don't know how he'll do against bigger players in more physical and faster leagues.

Wirtz - Still not had an expensive transfer, but has definitely been a success)
Haaland - definite success
Odegaard - I guess can finally be defined a success.
Szobo - I'd argue he's been Liverpool best player this season
Lautaro - Seems to have made another step up this season.
Rodrygo - Success I think.
Fati - Jury still out or flop?

Players who haven't made that big move yet:
Moukoko - will be exciting to follow
A bunch of young Barca players must be said to have done well for themselves the last 3-4 years and will be interesting to follow.

Antony can hardly be in the wonderkid category

They will loan him out for 12m odd every year and get their money back that way. He’ll be at Inter or somebody next year

Darwin was never a wonder kid, nor is he in the flop pile.

I would say Darwin has been a bit of a flop so far, he misses so many easy chances including a few open goals and has won nothing plus he scored less Champions League goals in his 8 appearances last season than Rasmus Hojlund has scored in 4 Champions League appearances this season.

This year they have not received anything for the loan and they have to eat the amortization.
All they can do is pray for a great season.

But what about his 1st game for Chelsea where he showed glimpses of his talent?? Before getting sent off.

He's shite. Never in doubt he would miss.

I thought he'd miss too. He just seems a shadow of the player he was some years ago. He also really should have hit the target with that header.

I can't remember a player choosing a worse career trajectory, playing under Simeone which is completely unsuited to his game and then that loan move to Chelsea. If he can get back to Benfica he can maybe restart his career.

Had that look across his face as he stepped up. Soon as you see that the 80% chance or whatever it is seems to drop dramatically.

Always nice to see this happen to players with attitude. You are not as good as you think you are kid.

On Martinez for letting him take a penalty. You don't let players like him take a penalty. Pepe would be better off taking one.

He was never a good player. Shadow of what? Athletico were fools to ever pay a decent fee for this cnut, let alone €120m.

Granted it was maybe 4-5 matches I watched when he was fast ascending at Benfica, but he looked sensational. Listened to Duncan Castles' podcast the other day featuring Guillem Balagué who said Atletico were moving to a new stadium before purchasing Felix and they wanted Simeone to change their style of play and attract more fans, with Felix somehow pencilled in for that. Simeone changed nothing and Felix disappeared.

Portuguese Kai Havertz.
Havertz is a waste man but he's more useful than this guy. I don't think I've seen Felix play a good game in like 3 or 4 years. Yet some people want him at United. I don't get that at all.

Wouldn’t take him if he came on a free. Never thought he was all that even when was he was young yet somehow Atletico felt it was necessary to pay what? €120M? Ridiculous.

I said to my partner as we heard he was next that he had a weak mentality and would miss. That was before I even saw his body language and stupid two step run up. When I saw that I was even more convinced he’d miss. He’s just a complete melt. He’s had zero mental toughness to improve his game under any coach in the last three years. Doesn’t do any of the unglamorous stuff to help carry him through periods of low form, so he’s the complete definition of a luxury player. But these days he doesn’t even provide the luxury. He’s just a ghost.

Needs to drop down a level to a mid tier team, learn how to follow tactical instructions and show some graft, and maybe, just maybe he’ll get the platform again to show what talent he has. It’s a huge maybe because his mentality has always been shit. I can’t see anyone paying Atlético a fee for this guy. He’ll run his contract down and leave on a free. See his career taking the Coutinho route.

Felix is a player who can have some individual moments of brilliance within matches which are good material for those compilation videos you see on Youtube, but when you actually watch him play, overall he almost always fails to impress. Those who don't watch him and rely on the compilations can easily be fooled into thinking he's good.

He's clearly a very talented player but just lacks the application of that talent which ultimately makes him absolutely useless.

Really surprised to see he hasn't turned out to be great, has fantastic technical abilities so you'd think he should make it at the top.

Remember from his spell at Chelsea that he would display great technical ability but fall short in the final action. Seems to still have the same issue.
