?

Are you suggesting that Brandt is a bigger defensive liability than Felix? Both are attacking players that could add a bit of quality and spark in the last third. Why are you bringing Tonali in to the mix?

Brandt is a midfielder or has become a midfielder whereas Felix is a forward, whether as a false 9 striker or support striker. They are two different players.

Personally, I would want Felix to become our striker. He has got this Zlatan vibe about him.

However, if we were to bring a midfielder, then I wouldn't want Brandt. Like I said earlier, he's a defensive liability hence I would rather have Sandro Tonali or Van De Beek here. I actually want us to get both players. Both players can play as 6 and 8. Van De Beek is stronger on the ball than Tonali hence I would have him as the 6 whereas Tonali is a better dribber than Van De Beek hence should play as a no 8.

Sure, Brandt has played as a cm for Leverkusen, but i see him as an attacking midfielder/attacker that could play pretty much anywhere up front for us. I have watched him play a number of times and i think he is very good in attack. At only 22yo i would say we haven't seen the best of him either. If he's available for a low release clause i think it's a no brainer.

Have not seen much of Felix and Tonali yet but they do look like special talents!

Came into life in the midfield. In fact, I would say he looks better there hence I don't think he should go back to the wing. While I admit he's been good, his defensive works need a lot of improvement. I don't want defensive liability players here. The likes of Martial, Pogba, Lukaku have all thought me a lesson.

This kid just somehow screams „bust“ to me. Can‘t point my finger at it exactly though.
If we have a thread where the consensus is that Rashford should be jettisoned out on loan, then young players have no chance at United in the near future.

I’ve heard from a very good source that we’re going all out for this lad in the summer

Problem is we'll have to try and convince him to join us over teams like Juventus without CL football.

All I know is we cannot allow Sancho to go elsewhere. He must be prioritised if it becomes a choice.

Advantage is we can offer him guaranteed first team football. There’s no guarantees he’d get in the Juve team.

He might want to learn under Ronaldo though - as a young Portuguese player he might no find that so bad - atleast initially.

I suppose we could offer him the same career path as Ronaldo, from Portugal to United. Plus if he's good enough he will be a superstar here, whereas he will be in Ronaldo's shadow there and could go the way Dybala has gone since Ronaldo came in.

This kid is an absolutely outrageous talent. If he can develop physically, to suit the rigours of the modern game, he will be a phenomenon. Absolutely the sort of player we should be after.

I agree, I recon we will be an attractive proposition for young upcoming players in the summer, for that very reason

That would be quite cheap given the hype and his age. If he goes for that kind of money then it would because the market is reverting back to less insane prices.
if players like bernardo silva cost 60 million there is no way we should be paying more than that for Felix. Is ot because we are manchester United that we should pay outrageous prices? the madness has to stop and if we are forced to pay more than that then we should dead it. We have to remove this negative reputation that because of we are United we will pay stupid prices when even teams like city haven't spent those same amounts.

No it's because the market has changed since they bought Silva. Plus they are talking about that figure as his release clause, it will probably be lower. Although since it's us though the media will add his wages on top, agent fee and inflation for the next 5 years and somehow work out we are paying £50m more than other clubs would have.

Sancho is definitely not leaving Dortmund. Given our good relationship with Benfica, we should probably send Pereira out there on loan and get Felix here. If he ends up at City or any PL club, that does not bode well for us as this kid will be a star for years to come.

Agreed. Sancho could turn out to be another very good England player. Having a feeling Felix is a once-a-generation type player.
Sancho will not be another very good England player. He's on his way to becoming elite. He definitely has the ability.

I actually think we could do with both. It would be amazing for our attack with the creativity that both these players would bring. Having Felix, Sancho, Martial and Rashford would be dreamy In attack.

Getting a player like Felix would remind me of the Ronaldo signing, although Ronaldo wasn't talked about at that time due to no social media etc.. but i can see him going to the very top and I hope that's with us. He would fit straight into the starting 11 and wouldn't have to fight for a position like he would at pretty much any other big club.

His game is all about creativity but he is a natural finisher so would help Rashford too. I'm not sure there is another player out there quite like Felix. He's like Kaka from an ability point of view but is a great finisher too. Bring him in please Ole

Would take Felix over Sancho

I can sense that feeling on the caf. Each to their own I guess, but I do suspect many are on board a hype train with Felix largely based on what each other is saying.

The Sancho hype train is also running on full speed... i doubt that Sancho will leave Dortmund this summer though.

Lets just hope one of them comes to Manchester United and that Lingard wont be starting games ever again.

Yeap, can't see Sancho leaving this year either.

ps. Grunningen?

He'd be mad to leave Benfica in the summer. Look at Renato Sanches. Keep playing, keep developing and when he's ready in a year or two he'll get a move wherever he wants.

I suspect the Sancho hype is based on a lot more tangible evidence, which is more to my point.

The only thing I don’t get about this, is surely if we’ve decided this, we could just do it now?

City doesn't even have space to add any more attacking players.
