Seems quality and all, but extremely expensive and seems to be operating through the middle or on the left? I’m not sure he’ll be coming our way. We have other areas to address first.

Yeah, I’ve been extremely underwhelmed and concerned about Martials recent performances. It’s hard to tell if that groin issue is still there though/contributing. Not to mention I think there is zero chance of shifting Sanchez. I just think the right hand side - RB and RW, CB, CM are higher on the list just now. We’ve also got a clear interest in Fernandes, which would render this transfer quite the luxury.

Scored another wonderful volley yesterday. His finishing and movement is so natural. It almost looks too easy for him. Oozes class. I hope he stays at Benfica for one more year because I feel we are not ready for him this year. We have more pressing areas to address.

Yeah. But we need someone to get the ball to him when he makes the run. Right now, only Pogba can do that. So I am hoping we sign Sancho, Bruno and an attacking RB this summer. If we can get Felix on top of that, it will be an icing on the cake. But I don't think we have the budget for that.
This is an old headline anyway. Di Marzio recently tweeted that Juve are ahead of the 2 Manchester clubs to sign him. He says while there is interest from other clubs as well, the aforementioned 3 clubs are the ones who have made concrete contact regarding him but Juve are ahead of us and City, something about using the prospect of playing with Ronaldo to entice him. It wouldn't surprise me if we end up signing him though, we have a very good relationship with both Benefica and Mendes which could come in handy. Not to mention Mendes isn't gonna let his client go to a club solely because of Ronaldo, if he is the next big thing in Portuguese football, Mendes is gonna be after a club that can offer him the most minutes on the pitch.

Any club that wants to buy him is gonna be paying close to the his release clause so that's hardly surprising. I guess when he mentions concrete interest he means that all clubs are willing to pay that amount for him.
As for Juve being his first choice, well you have to bear in mind that as reliable as Di Marzio is/has been, he's an Italian journalist so its not surprising he's bigging up an Italian club. I don't think Mendes is gonna simply let his client go to Juve because they have Ronaldo or he wants to go there, he's gonna do what he feels is best for his client in the long run.

It seems like Sanchez will feature against Barcelona. I don't think he'll make a difference. Hopefully, his performance will make it easier for the board to make a decision to move him on. I would even ask the board to consider moving him on for 30m.
