It's amazing these guys with made-up usernames on an internet forum think they know better than world class football managers - all of whom have had Lingard as an option PLAY HIM.

Some of you need to admit that it's not that Jesse is rubbish. It's that you don't get it You only judge a player on the 2% of the time they have the ball at their feet and are blind to the fact that the other 98% exists.

I'm not the biggest Jesse fan. He annoys me. I think his attitude was part of the problem under Mourinho... but let's get things straight. You do NOT know football better than the managers listed above. End of debate.

We don't know more than them but the debate will never be over, this is a forum after all. If we expand your logic we may as well as shut down any footballing decisions.

I am no Lingard fan, but its pathetic seeing people constantly bitch about him when we know what the other options in the squad are.
If he picks Pereira people will complain, "not good enough"
If he picks Mata people will complain, "too slow"
If he picks Gomes, people will complain "not ready, only in for being English..":rolleyes:

It's not a video game you can just edit stats or squads to appease you

He has 0 goals or assists in 2019. For an attacker... You can act condescending all you want but that stat is dreadful.

If SAF was still here and Lingard was playing the way he has for the last year or two, then he would be long gone. SAF praised him with comments years ago.
 
What a surprise that Lingard's legendary movement has not contributed to a goal...
 
Offered absolutely nothing so far today. Hope he gets a kick up the backside at half time or is withdrawn shortly after. Mata might be able to unlock this palace defender.

Lingard, Mata, Perriera are not good enough. We do not need to comment that week in week out.
 
"You do not know football better than the managers listed above". I hate that argument. You don't have to be a doctor to recognize a dead or even sick man. That's why you don't have to be a football manager to recognize player who is one big turd, with stats worse than the stats of Adam Johnson in the last 6 seasons (in which he spent 3 in prison).

It's quite annoying that he thinks that he is important player. There is literally no one that would complain if he started any other player instead of him.
 
Stealing a wage with us. I don't think he'd actually get into the Watford team as a starter. It's amazing that he's our number 10.

Yeah and then you have Lampard saying it was obvious to everyone england should have played three in midfield and replace hesky with carrick scholes or hargreaves. Obvious to everyone including the players except the england managers at the time.

hmm weird though that post SAF, as jesse wasnt a huge player for him or played regularly, his 2 club managers have sucked and been sacked? So whats your point? His club managers love him....because you conveniently left out the shit results of the club and the fact that they got sacked....maybe by playing the wrong players????
