"kept giving it away, he's shit"

*shown stats to prove otherwise*

"stats don't mean anything!"

His movements on the pitch is brilliant, but it's annoying how he doesn't combine it with better shots or crossing. He really doesn't know who to shoot or cross a ball well.

So even when presented with facts, you're sticking with your own judgement which has already proven to be wrong. Do you realise how stupid you sound?
They aren't facts though are they. Doesn't say how often he decided to kick the ball into oblivion. His pass completion may look alright but a lot of that will be simple passing.

Maybe some kid from Asia will make a Lingard all touches YouTube video tomorrow, then maybe I can show my point a bit more rather than linking some stats bollocks

He was excellent today, the Burton players couldn't get near him.

Great movement, found space and made great of the ball. Can't ask for more from tonight, just needs to carry this form

I feel we've reached a new level of stupidity in this post. I literally can't be bothered to argue with this drivel. Not a surprise it's coming out from you considering your previous posts.

I love this guys off the ball play and space he creates for other players, should have had a penalty on him also in the 1st half.

He was very good, his movement and overall game was impressive. Loved his awareness for first goal though, superb touch to set Rashford free.

He was always available for pass creating angles for the player in possession and also played some quick passes.

Started the season superbly, at least stats wise. 3 assists and 1 goal in 150 or so mins.

Great one mate. Dunno how I'll recover from that one.

Regardless of performance tonight he should still be 3rd choice behind martial and rashford... This should go without saying but with Jose you never know

Quality passes tonight and (hopefully) an excellent squad player... plus he's English to boot

On top of a clear agenda driven nonsense towards Lingars after a good game, you also managed to sound a little bit racist. Good for you.

Ah missed that bit.

I'm pleased for Lingard. I'm glad he got an assist and a goal. But he is too wasteful on the ball imo.

I thought he was actually better in the second half

He kept the attack moving; being wasteful isn't that big an issue when you contribute as much as he did today. Often I want to rip out my eyes from watching him play, but criticizing him after today's match is incomprehensible.

Don't get the bit about a kid from Asia. Pls can you explain?

He was excellent tonight; never stopped moving, some lovely touches, linked everything between midfield and attack. Very impressive.

Yeah. Having Asians in my family, I can tell you they are brilliant with computers in some Asian countries. I'm not 100% sure if it's involved in their daily academic routine, but I'm pretty sure it is. Some areas of Asia seem so advanced now (particularly Japan) - and as a whole, the continent seem to be very widely United mad. My Dads Asian wife often gets asked to send United shirts out there to all the kids in her family. And you'll see how United potty they are when United do tours there.

Lingard when he plays well is very, very good. He's put in some top performances for us. It's just he looks quite average when he isn't on it.

1 goal and 3 assists in 7 games (207 minutes) isn't bad showing at all. Good start to the season from Lingard.

Great game. Also reading this thread, feels like @KM has been WUM'd. Right? right? :nervous:

Another good game. Off the ball he is easily the best player in this side. The space he creates and the runs he makes are things you wish other players would bring to their game.

Was good as sub at the weekend and played well tonight. Very similar to fellaini in that he Isn't good enough to start regularly, used at right times and in moderation will get best out of him and will be viewed as a good squad player.

I agree, which is not bad for him nor the club. It still gets him appearances / minutes to play for United, whilst also affording United the luxury to rest others and him a chance to impress.
