As soon as he scored that goal you just knew he was looking for Pogba to get the celebrations under way.

Cracking goal by him tonight.

No idea why everyone seems to have a vendetta against him. He's scored some great goals for us. Welbeck was a massive favourite on the Caf for whatever reason... but I think Lingard has been comfortably better at United so far.

The whole goal was brilliant. The build-up, the finish, the celebration, José's clap. It's always nice to see Jesse do well.

Hes 23 and will be turning 24 soon. Everybody expects him to be the finished article but hes proving to be a valuable member of the squad. His finishing (hitting the target now) looks to have improved already within a year which is great.
11 appearances and involved in 5 goals. Not bad eh?

Have to say i wasnt a fan, reminded me too much of Welbeck in terms of looks good but never delivered. Nice to see Im wrong.

Good squad option for sure. Think he lacks the consistency to be starting every game but he can make an impact from the bench and come in every now and again.

That celebration was stupid, especially as it was the last goal that didnt meant too much anymore, but the goal was great

I have to say I think Lingard is growing, he already has some good finishing this season. His goal against Fbache, Leicester and this one. Last season I felt his problem was the lack of "end-product", although it still isn't top class I sense an improvement.

He has had some really bad games this season though, I think he can become an excellent player for us if he is able to become more consistent.

You enjoy kids parties then? Fair enough

Weak response. I guess you've never been to or heard of an adult party. You know...a social gathering where people meet up to talk about and engage in doing fun things. You're probably just a boring old antisocial fart. Fair enough

What has that to do with Jesse behaving like a 12 year old? You seem to be on the same intellectual level though

Behaving like a 12 year old for celebrating a goal with a signature dance? For having a little fun and enjoying the moment? GTFOH with your holier than thou 'mature intellectual' BS.

Stop behaving like an idiot

Dude, let's just agree to disagree over Lingards celebrations. I think you're just an uptight kind of fellow with a very rigid, boring and linear look on how people must behave.

Can't players have their own fun? And also goal is still a goal anyway, people have been complaining about players are lacking passion. There we have Jesse who thinks of any goals as they mean too much for him.

This Escobar guy is worse than Buzz Killington

He's a good squad player to have and a nice option coming off the bench.

I don't like him, and definitely don't like his celebrations, but he came on against Feyenoord, and showed how good he sometimes is. He deserves to start today instead of Martial

Lingard is awful, he dares to celebrate his own goal despite the fact it's the 'last one and doesn't mean much'.:wenger:

Jesse, next time just silently run to your half and don't celebrate please.

At least his celebrations and dances are coordinated unlike Memphis' half ass attempt to do the 'nae nae' after scoring against Brugge last season . Not surprised you dislike the player who dislodged Memphis from the starting 11 to begin with

I would like to think Mkhitaryan starts over both

For a young lad like him to just smile and hug fellow players is so boring. I like seeing all weird celebrations, the only time I want none of it is if that goal is a consolation goal, which of course, I myself have never seen a crazy celebration for.

Regarding his ability, he real has stepped up again, but as many have already been saying, he needs to have to have that consistency to be a nailed on starter.

Myktarin hopefully will start but all the same I'd rather have Martial due to the level he showed us last season. Lingard has had some abysmal games for us this season.

You should make an effort to spell his name. So the harsh Lingard criticism continues. How many goals and assists does Lingard have this season so far? How many do Mkhitaryan and Martial have?

On the topic of Lingard there is no point with yourself as I know you love Lingard and are a bit touchy about it!

Lol, you think I'm that petty just because I like Memphis? If Memphis doesn't show the same quality Lingard does, he shouldn't play, I don't mind, that's normal. You have to perform to earn your spot.

I just don't like Lingard because he gives me the impression that he is very childish based on his celebrations, and his social media video's. I also don't like his face. But if he performs as well as he did his those few minutes against Feyenoord, then I don't have a problem that he plays. The team comes first.
