Jean Seri

Don't believe anything English journalists write at this point. Will wait for Mohamed Bouhafsi or Di Marzio.

He’s an effective player but I don’t see this happening

1) he’s 5’5” (José)
2) has chilblains which makes playing in cold weather rather difficult and uncomfortable

...add that on top of having to adjust to the gruelling EPL schedule and style of play + English weather, I think it’s quite a gamble for any English team that would want him.

Nice already let Koziello, Walter and Sneijder go this month. It would be surprising if they didn't count on Séri to finish the season.

Deco, Modric...

If the talents there he will take you.

True, however I think 5’7” is where José draws the line. Both those guys are taller than 5’7”.

For some reason I can’t see him bringing in a 5’5” player ever.

Bit uncomfortable with those drag backs, back flicks w/e, can imagine those being picked up in a much faster paced premier league, by the opposition.

He'd learn if that was the case and do something different. He looks very technically gifted. Like a late career scholes in the deep lying playmaker role.

He looks a good player and would probably give us a different dimension. I'm not convinced it's happening though. The source seems to be red top tabloids.

Nobody is as reckless as caf favourite Verratti when it comes to overplaying on the edge of their own box, so I’m sure we could learn to love Seri too.

It's not often one of these vids comes along that has music that doesn't make me want to rip my own ears off. On that basis, I think we should sign him.
That Burning Bridges song is insanely good. Could listen for hours.

He's more of a West Ham, Everton standard player. If he went to one of the top clubs, he'd struggled like Bakayoko has at Chelsea.

Guy has a terrific agent, was linked to Barcelona last season.

He's no game changer as Nice have been bottom half for most of the season until last few weeks when they've picked up due to Balotelli scoring quite a few goals.

If you want a great talent from French league then Fekir would be much more exciting but obviously Man. United are stocked with options in final third so no room.

Not even that, signing for Fulham!

(sorry couldn't find this thread on last search so much obliged if mod can delete other thread I've made on him tonight, cheers).

P$G and Barcelona were interested in him, Xavi himself even claimed he has Barca DNA yet folks on here believe his level is West Ham/Everton...:wenger:

Getting your season ticket at the Cottage mate?

If he does well, he will attract a lot of interest from the top 6. Telling that no top club bought him. Napoli and City/Chelsea could have used him

All it tells me is every big team saw something about him they didn't like. Fulham didn't beat any big teams to him, no one was that interested in the end.

Intelligent deal from Fulham. Has a good season for them, keeps them up and inevitably a Liverpool or Chelsea will offer about 50m for him as he's had his test year in the premier league.

BTW I'm not knocking Fulham here, they already have good players so will be comfortable mid table.

Just couldn't understand people hyping him up just because Xavi said nice things about him. I watched a few games last season and he never really stood out, Plea upfront was best player for them last year. I saw little from him that likes of Gana and Kouyate don't provide in premier league and no one says these guys are Barcelona standard.

Man Utd used Morata as a smokescreen for Lukaku only last summer.

They absolutely didn’t. It’s a ridiculous suggestion and as discussed a few weeks back it doesn’t make any sense how it would even work.

It’s just one of these tiresome notions that people jump on without any practical application.

Its only The Star, but I cannot be arsed to look any further, and I’m certainly not getting into a conversation about it - but there is a debate that can be has about Morata being used as a smokescreen

Of course it’s all pretty pointless as no one on this forum knows the ins and outs of the transfer.
