With shorter hair, who would he remind you of? :nervous:

Biscuit?:nervous:

he luked a vry gud player bt umm nt sure he would be fit fr EPL....he luks taylor made fr spanish or italian league..

Don't know... He's change of pace and eye for the pass really impressed me. Argentina sort of dominated when he came on... mainly also due to Greece being tired but he totally did what Mardona wanted and I was VERY impressed. Would love to see him in our MF, his agile foot and a few flicks were also Berbaisque.

Riquelmesque in his cameo, What are the Argies doing keeping him in reserve! Quick feet and a quick brain, fits in well with the rest of the side.

Just highlights the difference in depth between the English and all the other top class nations when it comes to midfield.

TBF, Argentinas depth in midfield and attack puts every other nation, bar Spain, to shame...they have Aguero and Milito as back-up strikers FFS...thats ridiculous...

That's to say that they didn't even call Zanetti or Cambiasso.... Also Lavezzi, Zarate, Banega etc...

But I was very impressed with their passing yesterday, they were all over Greece and once Messi got the ball, it seems that their off the ball movement knew exactly how Messi would play.

Credit to Maradona for totally changing a team who looked totally shite in the qualifiers to probably the most dangerous team in the tornament.

Do you think all the changes will stick, surely Higuain will start next match, I hope Seba keeps his starting spot, he is still an absolutely ridiculously classy player, shame he didnt do better at United

Quality cameo tonight, I'd play him in that midfield 3 ahead of Maxi and Di Maria, and let the fullback's provide the width.

Translated.

Taylor/Tailor is the best of the lot.

Ban him.

How did he do for Palermo ?

According to Tim Vickery, when he came to Italy to play for Palermo he was pretty bad at defending and Tim thought there is no way Pastore would be selected for the Argentina squad. But at the end of the year, when Tim spoke to him, Pastore said he had improved his defending.

He is one player who's value will not shoot up dramatically and who could be a really good signing.

I hugely admire both Pastore and Ozil. Both are rare creative talents.

Along with Canales, they are remarkable footballers who prove that power and speed will never fully dominate over imagination and creative play.

Either would flourish at Manchester United. Alas, we'll be lucky to get Stephen Ireland...

He's brilliant. Will be one of the best in the world soon.

He is a great young talent

He is a day dreamer who will end up forcing his way to Bartalona and then proceed to waste a season or two there before returning to Argentina or moving to Villareal to resurrect his career. Ooh wait, hasn't this happened to another promising Argie who has dreams about Barcelona?

Can't deny the obvious quality though, very promising

I am predicting that Fergie will not but anotehr playmaker in the future with the progress being made by Cleverly and Rooney will probably move back to playing more in the hole for us next season if Scholes just plays more of a bit part role. Also Macheda and Hernandez will be pushing for the first team spot in a year or so. With Cleverly, Obertan, Gibson and Anderson all competing to play in the hole when Rooney is not available or rested then I think we should be fine on that front. Signing someone like Pastore could be a problem as he will have to spend a lot of time on the bench and he might not like that!

Main reason he turned us down. He didn't want to be on our bench for years.

If Pastore came here now I don't think he would be the one spending time on the bench.

In Italy they are likening him with Zidane. Inter are circling around him and United reject Ljajic who had been flawless till now.

They are two of the most promising prospects in the Serie A.

That's how good Ljajic is? Seems rather strange then that we called the deal off.

What about David Santon? Looked a terrific fullback.

Pastore is ahead of Ljajic in terms of rating. The former had been in Italy for a longer time then the Serbian and is central to Palermo's plans. Im a bit worried about Santon though. He hasn't been utilized much by Inter this season and considering who is leading the team....

He's still recovering from injury isn't he?

Palermo have said they rejected a few offers from Real Madrid over the summer. Also seen the odd rumour that Mancini is after him as well, but as it's city we know they are linked with everyone so a pinch of salt with that one. AC Milan are after him as well according to the Italian press.

Nice fan made video of Zidane, Kaka and Pastore
Kinda see what people mean when they call him the next Kaka or Zidane. Also makes you realise how much Kaka is a shadow of his former self.
