Not a fan of the thought of him playing in the Premier League but not for United.

A limited player, but loved the guy when he was here, and his limitations were often exaggerated IMO.

He's definitely going to score against us.

Would be heartbroken if he scores against us. One of my absolute favourite players in my time watching football.

He has told ESPN Mexico he has agreed to join West Ham.

Real shame. I would have liked him to have found a club outside of England.

£13m - we missed a trick here if you ask me

Agreed. Lukaku and Rashford are the only recognised strikers in our squad. Martial can do it but he's yet to learn how to run the channels and play with his back to goal. Chico would've been a handy option to have.

Good luck to him at West Ham!
Enjoyed him at United - excellent super sub. Will never forget that goal with the back of his head.
Fair to him at 29 he wants to play as much as possible.

Going to be weird seeing him against us, but I think Bailly will wreck him TBH.

Noo. Didn't expect him to actually go to another PL club. And scummy West Ham at that. He'll definitely score against us. I'll be putting a few quid on that.

The striker they've been crying out for. They've wasted opportunities on so many duds (fecking Zaza last season). It's a position that's been hurting them for a while now. Carroll IMO has been very good for them when fit but that's the issue right there, he's hardly ever fit. If they can get him playing this season I think him and Hernandez could actually form a good partnership.

Great to see him back in the PL. Love the guy so really hope this move works out for him.

I think it's a great move for both parties. WHUM want to be pushing for Europa and Chicarito is a very good goalscorer. He's defo overrated on here but he's PL quality and will get them goals.

Would quite like to see Barclay go there as well - think him and the pea could form a nice little partnership

The idea he's overrated on here seems bizarre considering there's arguably just as many, if not more, that underrate him on here and act as if he's a league one standard player.

It's mostly the newer fans who think dribbling is the be-all and end-all for a footballer. By their logic, Sterling would be a better player than Muller.

Either that or they didn't see how many times Chicha saved our ass in 2010/11. He was our lucky mascot and could have been Solskjaer's successor. And now he'll play for West Ham :(

His first match with WHU is against us, in the first gameweek of the EPL. This will go well.

He is such an "uncomfortable" player. The sort of player you would be uncomfortable with if he was your first choice striker, but if you see him signing for a club like West Ham, you go "Oh, he could score 15 goals for us if we bought him for 15 mil".

Wish him luck. Hope he scores against all top sides except us.

Javier Hernández has been a goalscorer for all the teams he has played for. I can't understand why we aren't willing to hijack this deal, considering the money he is going for.

Even if he was our 'super-sub' option, I couldn't think of many better options to score us a goal from the bench.

It makes me sad to think of him with the West Ham kit, but I can understand why we didn't went after him if the Zlatan return does happen. With Zlatan, Lukaku and Rashford and Martial, you have enough strikers, and I don't want to see Rashford and Martial to live the same that Chico when RVP came and more important when Welbeck returned (That guy annoys me). With the competitions in hand 4 strikers are the ideal number. 5 would be too much and would be a waste of money that can go in a CDM or a LB.

What I dislike is that a lot of people on this forum underrates Chico a lot.

Didnt he score like 20 games in a row the year before?

I don't know, did he?

Edit - It was 18 games in a row without a goal. That's pretty shocking for the type of player he is.

Agree. There's also the fact that Chicharito himself wants to be the main striker of a team. Returning here to play second-fiddle again would be a step back for him, so I can understand the decision.

He scores goals.

Was quality for us but somehow it's been 7 years since he signed. Not sure he is our level anymore but should do a job for West Ham.

Love him. Hate West Ham.

Those two opinions leave me conflicted.

Could be worse, could be Liverpool.

I dont see it, West Ham levaes me cold and Chicharito is an ex United player, he doesnt seem to give a shit either and wants the best for his career, football and money wise.

Good price for West Ham. 29 years and doesn't look a day over 12.

Exactly opposite of Diego Costa, he didn't look a day under 29 when he was 12.

At least he's not going to MLS, and I would have preferred for him to stay in Leverkusen but since they sacked the manager that brought him in first place it seems the team has regressed (although they still were capable of playing good offensive football with the players they had). West Ham doesn't sound like a very attractive team but I guess they offer him to be a regular starter in premier league.

It's interesting because what he really wants is to feel an important part of the team. And with good rotation system like SAF used to do, he would have come. In the NT there are lots of rotation with the players, and he said that the coach explains them why one plays and another don't but he makes them feel important so therefore he is happy.

Look at what Zidane has acomplished with a good rotation system, Galacticos are happy, and that's the hardest job there.
