No chance we get Isco, looks like he's staying.

Would sell a feck ton of shirts for the Glazers/Woody. Very Madrid-like galatico signing.

Hes a goal threat in a Real Madid team that has plenty of good players to help him.
Not sure he is worth the money being quoted.

But he was also a massive goal threat in a much less talented Monaco. Same with Colombia, his national team.

Not James but I would like us to get Isco since he would be realistic. If I had to choose other Real players, Benzema and Casemiro would be my choices.

Isco who is only 24 years of age is a phenomenal player. His ball control is almost as good as Iniesta. He's not a bad cover for Herrera and Pogba. The guy has goals in him. If we don't get him, Barca, City or Spurs would snap him up.

The edge James may have over Isco in Jose's mind, is that James can play well as a winger.

He'll be going to Chelsea in a partial swap deal for Hazard. He won't be joining us.

No, suspect attitude and we already have two similar players in the side, it's why I'm hesitant on Bernardo Silva who I'd want long before considering James.

Talented player but comes with a host of issues, he is a lazy player with an intense aversion to tracking back or doing any defensive work in general, also seems to have attitude issues, di maria situation was bad, it will be worse with him. Also he is a no 10, with pogba in the team i don't see the logic of signing a no 10, as it will only make pogba lot less effective.

But James is not that much of an upgrade on Mata as a winger. I mean James is not fast for a winger. Getting James would mean we wouldn't go for Griezmann and I prefer the latter.

Isco started his "elite" career playing as a winger for Malaga.

But seriously, Isco would be mata on the other wing, I don't think that's what Mourinho wants, would think he likes more the idea of James as a 10 behind a striker

We should only go 'all out' for a very limited amount of players:

Lewandowski, Hazard, Neymar.

However, as none of them will ever join we should use our resources more wisely and not overpay for another upper medicore player..
This sums it up for me.

I agree. Although i have a feeling he'd do well under Conte.
Not sure where he'd play in a 3-4-3. Unlike Hazard/Pedro/Willian, James' game isn't to use his great pace and dribbling to beat his man from a wide area. He's more of a classic #10 like Özil or David Silva, no?

We already have enough No.10s - Mata, Mhiki, Lingard, Fellaini, Rooney.

I also have no idea about him other than that goal he scored. Every time I watch Real Madrid, he isn't playing.

A 3-4-1-2? With Hazard and Alexis playing as the strikers, you don't lose much width. And James is a pretty good goalscorer himself, so you don't lose Pedro's production?

Hazard is not in that bracket.

Otherwise, as you were. I agree with your general premise.

IF he genuine wants here & the price & wage is reasonable, absolutely. People are comparing to Di Maria lose the plot. Di Maria wanted to go to PSG. He only came here because we could pay that summer & Real Madrid wanted to cash in immediately. People forgot there were Robben, Sneijder who could be very useful at their next clubs.

we should go for Isco...he is real talent and would cost way less than James too

Reports today are claiming that James Rodriguez prefers a move to Manchester United. No one is really sure about these rumours but it looks like Rodriguez is fed up with Madrid and the club will be happy to sell him for good money. After being substituted last night by Zidane, his reaction said it all.

Rodriguez is known to play as an attacking midfielder and or winger. He can play across the midfield or front line. He is 25 years old. He is a left footer. He dribbles well. He's very decent at set pieces. And he is a constant goal threat.

Should United be going all out for this guy?

Apparently we like pouring money down the drain, so hell yeah!!

He complains too much, all I hear is him saying he wants more playtime or a move away is possible etc. Don't need drama queens.

yes, he solves the biggest issue this club has right now other finishing, set pieces and corners. Can score a abundance of goals from the #10, golden left foot. Top 10 player when he's in form.

I think people are comparing him to Di Maria stylistically - which I think is even more absurd. Di Maria's a brilliant dribbler, and creatively a gunslinger (tries a lot, some of it works - most doesn't) and generally a poor goal scorer. James is more efficient, probably not as creative and definitely not as good a dribbler but much more capable in front of goal.

Find it baffling that so many are saying no, despite our horrible offensive play and lack of goals.

Would have taken him in a heartbeat during his breakout season but he strikes me as damaged goods now.

Can somebody provide a link to an article about his attitude problems? Would love to read that.

His ears suddenly pricked up when he heard we were offering the likes of Jesse Lingard £20,000-a-week more than he currently earns.

James would prefer a team that may not be in the CL next season? I wonga why?

Its a big yes please from me. :D

He has never really impressed me. He has a good shot on him but he's not the fastest and don't agree with the OP that he's a good dribbler.

Wouldn't mind it if he left this summer, prefer Isco over him every day of the week.

Looked good in that world cup but three Sky live games into his Real Madrid career I could see exactly what type of player he was. He was not a Real Madrid type of player. :)
