Swansea is good option with Grimes and Fulton in the midfield on his position and aging Routledge. Also, they have players on loan all the time and playing them, so I wouldn't mind to see him there for a season.
What a load of nonsense. Garner hasn't been put into the team much yet, it doesn't mean they don't think he's good enough, just that it's not the right time. Potentially they thought throwing a youngster into a midfield denuded of so many of its key players wasn't a very fair way to give him his shot. One game is certainly not enough to judge a player on, and no manager in the game would ever make such a laughably snap decision.
As you say, Fred has suggested Garner is shining in training. He has also been hugely impressive for the U23s this season gone. All the signs are good, and there's no reason for the manager to rush him in before he thinks he's ready. Possibly he'll get a good loan if they think that's right for him. Possibly he'll get more first team opportunities next season. Either way, we'll certainly see a lot more of him before any sane person even thinks about writing him off.
I think he would benefit a lot by going on loan. He has been in the first team training for quite some time, but i would prefer to see him now take the next step and play some football at a higher level than the reserves.
If anyone has a chance, read Rashford interview when he was talking about breaking into the first team. He said Van Gaal had him on the bench prior to his debut and he didn't feel ready and LVG knew that. Then when he did start, he felt he was ready to make the step up.
That made me realise having players on the bench is part of their learning curb even if they do not get to play. Garner is being groomed, there is not point rushing it.

It all depends on transfers and how this new situation affects clubs in the lower leagues. The key is to hopefully get a club where he will get lots of playing time and a club that is stable.

Gary Neville was saying today and I agree If they had a loan draft lottery each season that would be great. Say you can select a few 20/21 year old prospects and they have to go to championship clubs unless they aren’t drafted up to a certain point. 18/19 year olds to league 1 etc. No fees involved and obviously only players the parent club feel aren’t going to play enough. Parent clubs pay the wages. The Loan can be cancelled in Jan if everyone isn’t happy. It would be great experience for the players and it would be interesting to see a club tipped for relegation get a first Round pick and see how the lad does there. It would bring more attention to the smaller club. It would also encourage more unexpected (for lack of a better word) relationships between bigger and smaller clubs.
Thank would actually be really interesting to see, and probably highly beneficial for the players/loaning club too. Only negative seems to be complaints that if an extra good player (Tammy Abraham?) went out on loan, other clubs in the Championship could complain about the unfairness of a coin toss
If it was truly random it would be another pretty interesting facet of the transfer window. Also there would be more young players from the big clubs playing together which would only be a good thing for England. If you take the money of it and just treat it as giving competitive minutes to players that need them it’s a win win. The best players will get lots of minutes and the average players will have to fight hard. A player like Abraham probably wouldn’t be getting 20 goals with a newly promoted side but Chelsea Already know his potential. They’d be coming back much better players if they were even rotation options in senior football in the division below. It’s much better than U23s where there’s absolutely nothing at stake and it gives poorer clubs some free resources.
Swansea would be interesting, though I suppose it would depend on if they make it to the PL as we'd obviously prefer it if he played rather than just ride the bench all season.
Great news! From the looks of it, he's already too good for the reserves and needs to start playing at a higher level. Our midfield looks packed next year so a loan move would be in his best interest. He needs to make sure he goes to a team that would provide him with a chance to express his full potential.
I don’t really see how he fits in at Swansea. Matt Grimes is captain and plays every match alongside Fulton. The opening is at 10 to replace Gallagher but Jimmy ain’t no 10.

Take Forrest for example. The finished 7th. Their 2 possible DCMs were rated only 6.5 on average which is no better than average for the division. Their pass completion rates were 75% and 69%. Way below what Garner will give them. He's clearly better than either.
Matt Grimes might get signed by a PL team this summer. He's good enough.

If he'd get game time I'm not too fussed. He's a tough lad with no little ability, I'm sure he could contribute there. Depends a lot on who the new manager will be of course too, haven't heard any rumours yet.
We should take a look at Cantwell from Norwich. Sending Garner there on loan could sweeten a deal. They will probably be around the top 7-8 as well, so confidence wouldnt be hit as it would be if he ended up at a relegation threatened club, as I expect Bournemouth to be floating around there with Howe gone.
Here's a useful new stat: Loan player history. It tells us which clubs actually use loanees. Top 2 just got relegated. So they're no good next season.

I can understand where you came from there. It could go both ways since they still have some good players too.

Garner is one for the future if he improves and can play the Carrick role. We also have Galbraith and Mejbri for midfield for the future.
Huddersfield have a good coach in 37 year old Spaniard, Carlos Corberan who was the assistant to Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds last season. He adopts a very progressive play-style that should benefit Garner.
This is a good move if true, lots of game time and a promotion push. The right team for this lad to be on loan at.
Great news but he needs to play. I know they've lost Docoure but I haven't kept up with their other options.
Will Hughes has been touted to leave so there should be some minutes there for him.
