Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

Holy shit, I go out for a couple of pints and all hell has broken loose, there’s fecking dead jelly fish all over this thread.

Odd article by Romano that contradicts everything he has been saying. If wages/agent fees have been agreed for months then how have we made a breakthrough in agreeing wages and agent fees?
They say "as reported at the start of August" too

They’re saying agents fees being agreed is the breakthrough and that personal terms were agreed in August

If we could get Donny, Sanchy and Reggy for this window, and get Upamecano and a top class holding MF player.... we’d be back to being one of the best sides in the world.
[/QUOTE]

Take it you meant next summer for Upamecano and the holding MF player, now we have overcame these personal terms issues with Sancho can we find a way around this buyback clause situation for Reguilon I wonder

Huh?? Have you read the thread?

Every reliable source in the UK clearly briefed directly from the club that we’ve now sorted the personal terms and agent fees, which now sets us up to make a bid.

Meanwhile the whole window your man Romano has been telling us ths personal terms and agent fees were already agreed.

Yes I've read the thread.

Every source that relies on briefings rather than the truth has now finally reported the truth that Romano has said since the start of August. That personal terms and agent fees aren't a problem.

BVB has been a feeder club to rich European teams for several years. The facts literally prove that. Same as Ajax.

Nothing insulting or entitled to think that.
Ajax generally go about it a much classier way though at least

Sad, gullible muppets. It is clear what is happening here:

United have briefed the UK press about Dortmund now being the only obstacle for a deal. This means that once a deal is not reached, United can lay all of the blame on Dortmund's "unreasonable" demands, and come out of a failed transfer looking like angels.

Our disappointment will be greater as a result. I hope I'm wrong.
so you have been forcerd to stop wumming the transfer forum so you come in here to seek attention instead?

That makes zero sense.

Why would the club brief something that was already agreed? What on earth would that do to help them?

Absolute 110% a United brief this.

I don't think we've ever briefed as much about a single player as we have with Sancho, which tells me that we're absolutely dead serious on doing a deal and we're willing to go to what it takes to ensure we get our man... Lets see what the next 48 hours brings

I'm sure Ole is hounding Judge and Ed to get this done buy our first match and not let it drag on until October 5th.
I think it will be telling how close we are if he plays for Dortmund this weekend.

Could we maybe get another VDB situation with him asking to be left out of the squad, want to say yes but think the game this weekend is going to come a bit too soon for that to happen

That isn’t what Romano has been saying though. Even today before this briefing he did a podcast saying the only issue was fee with Dortmund.

I don’t really care mate to be honest. Just pointing out that’s what they’re now saying. It’s all very positive so let’s just enjoy it for what it is rather than turning it into a ‘is Romano reliable’ argument

I’m hoping he isn’t reliable on this one as he’s adamant Dortmund won’t accept less than £108m guaranteed.

Those who are not sure whether we should sign Sancho, I have to do a "Trust me bro" on this one. I've watched him more than enough over the last 3 years.

This is not me just hyping it because I'm giddy. This is me saying what I genuinely feel. This kid has got everything to be an absolute superstar at our club. He will be the best player in our team very quickly, you will see. Signing Sancho is an absolute game changer.

There is a very strong reason why Dortmund fans are hell bent on him not leaving. They know how amazing he is. Ask any fan who watches Bundesliga on a weekly basis. They will all tell you he is top dollar. There is a reason why rival fans have been taking the piss out of us all summer. They will be absolutely devestated if we sign Sancho.

Stay strong and your patience will be rewarded gang!

Mate reading your post of this pleases me and no doubt Sancho is already a great player at 20. But it takes quite a lot to overtake Pogba and even Bruno who are already the best players at the club. I would definitely love to see him blossom into that though

Bit confused about that, have we offered that and Dortmund still not accepted?

I think that’s what we’ve offered via the middle men. Who’ll take it to Dortmund and if they say yes, then we make the ‘official offer’ I believe this is what preparing a bid is

EDIT - It’s an old ‘bid’ as per below

I hope it moves quickly now.. Get Sancho done, get a left back in and just win every single game for the rest of time

As the purveyor of this mega thread, I'm sure Adnan was pleased that something happened to change the headline after 400 pages. Muppets can be proud to have kept this going with such gusto.

I reckon he'll be a United player soon enough.

I love both Pogba and Bruno mate. But Sancho will genuinely be our best player if we get him. It might not happen immediately as it will take time to adjust. But this kid is special.

Dortmund should just give up. There is no stopping this train if only bc Jadon will look better in red than in yellow. Dortmund just enjoying all the publicity this gets them bc United is involved.

I'm pretty sure that you yelled "Choo choo!" while typing that post.:nono:

Everything's a brief if you try hard enough ;)

They needed to buy some time with the brief and they have.

You're a bit gullable if you think club briefings are biblical truths on the situation, especially considering how we hired Neil Ashton specifically to spin our image.

But it IS entitled to think they 'haven't covered themselves in glory' by simply not lowering their expectations. Because, once again, they don't owe us anything.

Imagine if Real Madrid fans, back in 2009, had said that United needed to take a long hard look at themselves for demanding the 80m up front. We'd have laughed them out of town.
Well BVB are in a very tricky situation which is that they only have 1 potential customer right now. If we genuinely dropped out of the market, they would crap themselves.

As I wrote in an earlier post, there is just too much financial risk in holding onto such a valuable asset next season. I’m also not convinced that Sancho would command a greater fee next summer or even if we’d be in for him again.

The customer is always right, so we have every right the berate the seller for obscene prices. As we’ve all said all along, brinksmanship type negotiations takes balls and is never petty or elegant.

No, the customer isn't always right. This isn't a Starbucks.
