Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

If it’s wages and agent fees, then there is very likely a fee agreed with BVB. Those shouldn’t be a problem. It’s the selling club we have to get past and presumably we already did. Otherwise what for are we still negotiating on wages and agent fees?

Romano on the other hand is saying otherwise

Which is which :wenger:

Romano is probably full of shit perhaps and has used the saga of the summer (minus Messi saga) to up his followers and mentions. Let's be fair he didn't even know that Sancho had extended his deal last year so how much info has he really got?

Are the England squad flying back in this morning? Be interesting to see where Sancho goes - if he can back with the squad or went directly back to Dortmund - if he is in England then there’s a chance for something to happen.....if not then the previous poster is correct and Ed is on the beach somewhere.....

Worst case: we've neither an agreement with club, nor with the player :nervous:

Seems ‘glass half full’ in this thread this morning. I’ll take that to mean Ed’s on a beach in the Cayman Islands then, in blissful ignorance of any supposed need to make transfers.

Anyone passing any beaches in the Cayman Islands in the next few hours?
No, but I’m passing by Ed’s house shortly.

100 pages to go

Club agreeing a few would be +50 pages easily, and then the suspense up until the announcement is easily another 50.

Even no agreement will drag but it'll end up with 100, we will end up on 1000 no matter what.

Could be that Im just biased and a homer towards Greenwood but I want him to be a starter, play as much as possible and would much prefer getting a good backup for him like David Brooks.

We want a situation where when one of the front three starters is injured or suspended then the guy coming in for him is just as menacing.

The ending seems pretty grim tbf. Says if he had to rate the likelihood of us making the payment, he'd rate it at 25%.

Come off it! That was an on the spot response to an arbitrary question. He even laughed as he was saying it ffs

Don't know if I'd trust Christian with news regarding United even if a player for a german team is involved. He's alright when it comes to Bayern but very hit and miss beyond that.

He's guesstimating - he says United say its still on and Dortmund aren't expecting a bid. I don't know what's too grim about that. All of his news is from the Dortmund side, the only news he has from Manchester United is via Romano.

I think the bigger question for this thread is how many pages it'll end up on rather than whether it'll surpass Pogba's or a mere 1000.

Correct, at this point, 100 is easy. Especially with the slow pace of developments so far.

This is the new Thiago/Sneidjer etc. I made a few snarky comments during the lockdown saying I have a feeling the move wont not happen so am mentally prepared if it doesn't. We'll just have to see. I kind of would prefer a great CB to be fair.

Doesn't seem a CB is going to happen this year, think attacking options is the top priority. It will be Sancho or a stop-gap loan signing.

Journalists and players never talk to each other, especially on national team duty...

Sorry, I should have said how do they fecking verify this? I could say the players were surprised, Rashford and Mengi told me yesterday actually

Be interesting to see if this coincides with what Fabrizio puts out later on. I think we're at the point where we'll know one way or another over the next couple of days, and it's starting to look like this one is proving too hard to put together given the current climate/payment demands beyond the overall transfer fee.

Real pity if it doesn't materialise. Hard to see us finishing above Chelsea, City or Pool without adding quality and depth to what we've got. First XI can compete, but we've arguably got the worst squad depth out of the "top" 6.
