One match means nothing but Greenwood was more impressive in 20 minutes than Sancho was in 70 yesterday against Iceland
Imagine some of the posters here were scouts, we’d literally sign nobody. You're basing that off one game? Rather than 2 seasons of proof?
Pexbo.Who is the lucky fella?
Pexbo.
Don’t know the name of the unlucky one though.
Ok mate fair enough. I’m personally not a massive fan of stats as a decider on a player. Stats are supplementary to the decision but not always the true reflection.I was talking about their last season before we bought them actually. And my “argument” was not that one is better than the other. I’ve barely watched Sancho, so I don’t know. It was a response to a comment saying people shouldn’t draw conclusions on yesterday’s game but “just look at the numbers”.
Who?My only reservation with Sancho is looking at the three players Chelsea have managed to get for the Hazard money.
That Sancho money could genuinely get us a CB, CDM and RW. Or CB, LB, RW.
2 goals 4 assists in 640 minutes. Not exactly the worst start either. Not great.
He probably could but they aren’t the quality we’re looking for.Who?
Could you name a CB, LB (or CDM) and RW for a total price of £108M who would actually strengthen us?
Didn’t see it. A lot of more sober comments in here today though. It’s an awful lot of money unless he’s utterly unplayable world class, from the get go.I watched him against Iceland and he does not look like a 100mil player to me.
I do actually see his point to a certain extent. All 3 positions is definitely a push, but Reguilon for the quoted 30 and Upamecano for 60 would certainly improve us.Who?

What valuation did you place on Neymar after the Champions league final? And Mbappe?I watched him against Iceland and he does not look like a 100mil player to me.
He also knows nothing about Liverpool’s transfer strategy. He’s just a fan with a microphone.
Liverpool won’t pay €30m for Thiago this summer but they will have £100m for Sancho next summer? Okay.
Also, United have been in contact with Sancho’s people for at least 18 months. Is he really going to join Liverpool because they made a quick offer?
So many embarrassing posters in here being so reactionary over the England game. Did they even watch the game? Sancho was the best player on the pitch and only got hooked for Trent because muppet Walker got himself sent off. England are dross anyway with Southgate stealing a living. We have a ridiculous amount of talent and depth in the England squad right now and he makes us look Championship level.

£45 and a packet of crisps?
No they can’t afford £100 million. It will depend entirely on if Liverpool sell a Mane or Salah Next summer. Each of those would fetch £100 million + which then makes a bid for Sancho very likely.
Could we afford to spend £250 million on Mbappe? No of course we couldn’t. But if we were to sell Pogba for say £120 million and Martial for £80 million the additional outlay then reduces to just £50 million which is m than affordable.
Assuming that we will be the only club in for Sancho next summer is a dangerous game.
I could easily see Chelsea selling the likes of Abraham’s and Pulisic next summer to fund a Sancho bid too.
Why can’t you take that some people don’t rate Sancho as a £100m player? It’s very childish just to think everyone must think like you. I’ve heard this long before the England game too. So it’s not just this game.So many embarrassing posters in here being so reactionary over the England game. Did they even watch the game? Come on!What valuation did you place on Neymar after the Champions league final? And Mbappe?
£45 and a packet of crisps?
He has been ok but ive yet to see him really play well for England2 goals 4 assists in 640 minutes. Not exactly the worst start either.
Narrator: But he wasn't..So many embarrassing posters in here being so reactionary over the England game. Did they even watch the game? 3rd or 4th, depending on how Chelsea’s new team settles. 2 players isn’t enough to catch Liverpool & City, the gulf between us is just too big. We might be less points behind them though. So where do people think we'll finish if we end up buying sancho?
Issue with your maths there is that yeah it reduces the outlay to £50m..... but you also have a Pogba sized hole in the squad that’ll require a sizeable fee to solve.
Who?
Could you name a CB, LB (or CDM) and RW for a total price of £108M who would actually strengthen us?

People keep using this argument of “Why should we spend 120m on a Ferrari when we can buy a Fiesta, Mondeo and Skoda for the same money.” Non argument.
I do actually see his point to a certain extent. All 3 positions is definitely a push, but Reguilon for the quoted 30 and Upamecano for 60 would certainly improve us.
Because the reasoning for it isn't convincing one bit. So if they don't rate him, surely they must have some great evidence for it?Why can’t you take that some people don’t rate Sancho as a £100m player? It’s very childish just to think everyone must think like you. I’ve heard this long before the England game too. So it’s not just this game.
And some points being made are pretty sensible actually.
Everyone don’t need to think like you and that shouldn’t be embarrasing at all imo. Accept different opinions and act like an adult. Not like a fecking crybaby.
He’s 20 and had 2 good seasons in Bundesliga for gods sake. Not the real deal just yet, but can be in future for sure.
K. Who was then?Narrator: But he wasn't..
He's only played 7 games worth of minutes and nobody plays well for England because the manager is a neanderthal. He has been ok but ive yet to see him really play well for England
We need to find the next Dan JamesIs this kid seriously worth 120m?? Surely there's gotta be cheaper and more attainable alternatives out there? Surely!!
Ok mate fair enough. I’m personally not a massive fan of stats as a decider on a player. Stats are supplementary to the decision but not always the true reflection.
Players like Lukaku have brilliant stats wherever he goes and even at international level. But he clearly didn’t fit our style of football.
Players like David Silva show a lot less assists and goals than you would imagine. Even Paul Scholes had surprisingly low assists. But they were both two of the best ever in the premier league. They were involved in plays which led to others being able to produce assists and goals.
However, with Sancho I’ve honestly seen enough of him to know he would be an absolute superstar at Utd. He’s the perfect mould in every way in terms of him being one of the best solutions to our biggest problem for years. His style of play complements Martial and Rashford perfectly. His stats are just a confirmation that there is an end product to all the eye candy as well.
A lot of people yesterday came to the conclusion that he was garbage and not worth buying because of England’s performance (even though he was the best of a bad bunch). Similar how a lot of people started slating Mbappe for a poor performance in champions league. If a player doesn’t get 10 out of 10 every game he suddenly becomes worthless and fans on here don’t want him anymore.
K. Who was then?
Fair enough.LB - Reguilon
CB - Upamecano or I would have liked Gabriel who would have only been 30m
RW- is definitely a struggle but potential talents Trincao or Kulusevski - City bought another option in Torres for 20m
Let's just say we outbid Arsenal and City. Reguilon, Gabriel, Torres & VDB would have been great for us and cost a similar price to Sancho.
I'd say they are easily the quality we are looking for. Young talented players. Sancho is obviously the best young RW option but it is always a concern with these big signings; could you improve the team better with the money spent around the team rather than on just one player.
The answer to why Utd are better to go for Sancho than spend it like you’ve mentioned is actually in your own post. “Best young right wing option”.LB - Reguilon
