Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

Carraghers chatting shit, Liverpool didn't have any money last summer, don't have any this summer and won't have any next summer unless they sell first
He also knows nothing about Liverpool’s transfer strategy. He’s just a fan with a microphone.

Liverpool won’t pay €30m for Thiago this summer but they will have £100m for Sancho next summer? Okay.

Also, United have been in contact with Sancho’s people for at least 18 months. Is he really going to join Liverpool because they made a quick offer?

Hope we have plan B in case Sancho transfer doesn't happen.

Entering new season with zero right wing options yet again would be scandalous negligence.

Is this kid seriously worth 120m?? Surely there's gotta be cheaper and more attainable alternatives out there? Surely!!

I’d be more worried about Chelsea going for him next summer to be honest with you.

He’s right in principle though, if we wait till next summer we won’t have the free run at him we have now.

Not just him, but other clubs like Real, Barca, Juve, Bayern...

Nobody can afford him next season.

If Sancho wanted to go to Chelsea, they would have bought him by now.
There is no free run. Few sides can afford him, add in wanting to return to England then its us or City and he isnt going to City.

Dude, I don't mean to throw you under the bus here but the deeper you go into the argument, the weaker your argument is getting.

Lets base it off overall appearances in that case.

Mkhi - 140 app 41 goals 49 assists = 0.64 goals/assists per game
Sancho - 99 app 34 goals 43 assists = 0.77 goals/assists per game

Sancho's return is still over 20% more per game than Mkhitaryan. So no they don't have similar numbers.

Numbers aside, you just have to watch the performances of both when at Dortmund to realise the difference in quality. Not really an argument to be had here.
I was talking about their last season before we bought them actually. And my “argument” was not that one is better than the other. I’ve barely watched Sancho, so I don’t know. It was a response to a comment saying people shouldn’t draw conclusions on yesterday’s game but “just look at the numbers”.

I thought Sancho looked like the only England player going forward that created any danger for Iceland. Also having other players around him play shocking will not help Sancho shine either. He is worth the money and is needed

These leaks regarding excessive wage and agent demands is directing my mind and heart towards a no-deal scenario. I think the deal is off and these PR leaks are simply to avoid being blamed for not signing Sancho. It doesn't logical you would want to shift the blame on a player and his agent if you need to work with the very same people now and in the future.

Obviously these are just my thoughts and I could hopefully be completely wrong. Sorry to dampen your Sunday morning my fellow muppets.

Relying on 18 years old striker to play right winger throughout whole season is definition of zero options.
And James, but he is better on the left wing. It sure looks better since Greenwood came through but a loan deal for Costa or Bale might be a short term option.

Costa who`s scored a grand total of 10 goals for Juventus and injury prone and Bale who`s been finished for 2 years(and injury prone) and a complete unprofessional?
May as well bring back Chong from loan

Do people really think Sancho is worth €120m?

In today’s climate yes.
Look at the cost of the top young players. Look at havertz, Felix, dembele, even the 18 year old that wolves just bought cost 40mil. Most people won’t of even seen him play!

is any player really worth 120? It’s crazy the money that’s in football, it defies sense and all logic but unfortunately it’s the cost of having the most wanted players in football in your team. Look at psg, Madrid, Barca. You want the best players, you got to pay. Sad but true

There must be a level of confidence that a deal can be done otherwise we surely wouldn't have sent Chong away on loan ?

And you prefer who?

So do you want cheaper or do you want the best?
