You have to be wumming for christ sake.. Romano is agreeing with Zorc!! He's literally just reaffirming what Zorc said. Zorc said Sancho extended last year until 2023 & Romano is reiterating that. You're the only one not understanding this.

A week ago he was claiming we’d agreed terms with him. There’s a bit of a game going on here where we seem to be trying to convince Dortmund that we haven’t agreed terms and are struggling to afford his wages presumably because it’s very difficult to claim poverty and insist COVID has ruined our finances whilst simultaneously agreeing to make Sancho one of our highest earners.
Close to his camp, yeah, I believe so. I just couldn't see a reason to worry about that, he probably has no plans to do so as it won't be needed as a deal will be done before it gets to that stage. It's such early days.

You’ve interpreted it completely wrong. Romano says Sancho has not signed a “NEW” contract. In this sense new means this summer. He has signed an extension last summer which is what Zorc revealed. Romano is correcting the people who were under the impression that Zorc was claiming Sancho had renewed his contract this summer - hence why he then directly quotes Zorc.
Why would Dortmund want him to make a public statement on his future, if we've missed their deadline and posted all these corny ass videos of their players saying how happy they are he's staying?

First to say about our interest and talks with Sancho last summer and that Sancho wouldn't move without us getting CL, then he was first to announce Sancho new deal shortly after. Basically we've royally f*cked this deal up by low balling and being left with our pants down.
