Sanchez off, Sancho on.

It's happening lads and lasses! Have faith and patience

Thay hadn't at the time, so you were wrong.

Didn't Leicester originally want £90m?
you can go on denying it, but they signed the two players. the deals were announced by both clubs which is good enough for me. and as I said, let's compare that with us and Sancho

Again, Ed as CEO is repsonsible for all transfer dealings and does revel in photo opportunities when finalised. What is disappointing is watching other clubs have targets and signing them why there is the usual low balling and stalling from Ed and Judge. That's so frustrating for a team on the edge of making a challenge, but no doubt the spin doctors will be informing us all that our supreme negotiators refused the demands of the selling team.

Meanwhile, Citeh and Chelski are bedding in their targetted signings and the so called biggest club in England doesn't, strange times ahead of Champions League and EPL starting soon.

He is signing on the 7th, wearing the 7.

The deal is done and has been for a while.

I never said he could get it done in a week but I'm also mature enough to realise brokering the largest transfer deal the club has ever done in a post COVID market, with no idea of how it will clearly affect our finances yet takes a little bit of time. It's not as literal as popping down to the shops and buying a loaf of bread at the asking price as you're casually putting it. Your posts in this thread have been absolutely horrendous, you should have some time off from this transfer, it's obviously getting to you at this point if you've got to target abuse at the man who's getting the deal done...
but you fail to see the point: Dortmund have said the deal needs to be done by Monday or forget it. And I will indeed criticise Woodward when and how I want for missing out on targets and still doing nothing about a DoF

A morning Sanchez announcement leaves time for an evening Sancho update

If the Bruno deal is anything to go by, we’ll soon get stories of another interested party entering the picture. Last time, Ed/Judge flapped like kites and forced the deal through at the very mention of Barcelona coming in.
We literally don't know that now do we.

You're both right, but we've been concentrating on this one transfer for a very long time and we also need a couple of other signings - that is if we actually get Sancho.
We've negotiated Sancho at the same time as Sanchez and Smalling. It's a very big transfer this and we might need to know first exactly how much it's going to cost us before we can make other offers.

Only basing it on what was reported at the time. If we go down the ‘literal’ path of what we know/don’t know, we might as well close this thread, and perhaps the forum. That’s how it was reported immediately prior to his signing, particularly by SSN.
I know, but you can't say they 'flapped like kites' because of another link from another club. Correlation doesn't always equal causation as they say.

They obviously flapped like kites because the transfer window was about to close.

Anyway were derailing the thread.

BvB’s asking price of €120m for Sancho is looking to be too expensive even for United, he probably stays with Dortmund. [@sz]

Tier 1 source for Dortmund.

Wouldn't shock me at all if we announce it tomorrow to take the shine of City's game with Real Madrid like another poster mentioned above. It's the type of 'shit-housery' I can see us getting involved in.

Also with him likely to get the 7 shirt and it's the 7th day etc. It's a marketing dream for the club and we know they crave social media attention as they even said that was the plan about 4 years ago. They wanted to drive Social media interaction I think they said or something like that.

We've been through that little nugget already. Just another guess work article.

In order to announce tomorrow, we need to do medicals, paperwork and marketing videos, it’s not easy to make all this in 1 day...

All those can be done after an official club statement announcement, subject to medical

Yeah. We announced an agreement with Sporting subject to medical for Bruno In January, I'm sure we did.

Was Bissaka wears the no29 and was announced on the 29th June.
Maguire wears no5 and was announced on 5th August.
So tomorrow or 7th September it is

Since when did ehsanul turn into a muppet slayer? I remember when he first joined he would literally camp in the transfer threads and forum all year and not even bother to discuss anything else - he was the living embodiment of the Transfer Muppet, ffs

Yeah, I have a strong gut feeling that says we bought Sanchez's contract out. There's two years left on his contract at 500,000k a week, that's 52m.
So we paid him 52 million just to leave this club so that he can sign a free transfer with Inter. I have a feeling that's what happened.

Whatever it is, can I have some of that too?

The Pogba saga he would continually post random articles and tweets from shite sources of Real Madrid signing him.

All muppets get broken eventually. It's just the nature of this sport.

I feel if Sancho doesn't happen it'll be the worst muppet suicide since Thiago.

So I could get pelters for this, but in the wake of the news that Arsenal are making redundancies and no real end in sight for the pandemic, I'm starting to feel weird about the prospect of us spending so much money on Sancho. I really want him, but the idea of spending 120mil on one player at a time where some championship clubs are being forced into administration as a result of the pandemic is probably going to leave a bad taste in my mouth...

Sorry to be a buzzkill.

All jokes aside, there is no way Woodward will let Ole down with this.

We're just haggling to get the best deal, he knows how much he wants him and the squad needs him.

Best thing about this transfer, it if goes through of course, is that he will be the one top player who has had a really good break from Football. Bundesliga finished early and he didn't even play in all the games.

I imagine he will be the one player who gets rotated the least next season in the front line if we sign him. Can play left or right too so that gives us the opportunity to rest and rotate which we've never been able to. Still a little bit iffy on the price tag but nobody can grumble about the player if we get him.

The clubs as well as the FA and government are responsible to ensure they survive, not Man Utd though. We just have to do our own thing.

Everybody spends within their means.

Aren't they about to give Wilian 150,000 a week and sign Coutinho also?

If they were so worried about finances they could just not sign an extremely expensive player. They don't care about their staff, it's just a good excuse to cut costs.

He can also deputise for Bruno if need be as a CAM, may also be valuable sometimes.

Is he really worth €120m? Seems like a huge gamble at a time like this, as much as we need quality attackers.

Look what happened to Barca with Coutinho.

I honestly don't get why anyone would think he's not worth 120 million euros. I get the covid times reasoning a bit. But just as a talent, putting into perspective how much other massive talents have cost, he's worth every penny, if anything he's worth more than that.
