Andy Brassell, Talkports 'European football expert' said today that it is common knowledge that in Germany and at Dortmund that Jadon Sancho is off in the summer. They asked the question if it could happen in january and he didnt really answer it properly.

I think we could make the move in january but ultimately the summer would be more likely. I think we have as good a chance as anyone.

Although I would like Sancho here I think that if he has a good Euros his value will increase massively and that may mean that he will take up a massive portion of budget. So if we do have opportunity to get him I hope it's before the Euros.

Watzke himself said that a big club from England were after him this last summer, We can assume it was we. I think he would be here at the moment but Dortmund did not want to sell just yet. They were thinking about challenging for the league title, but that is not going to happen.

I personally think that either one of Sancho or Haaland is a must. They are going to be awesome players and if we can’t get either we will speculate for years to come why we did not sign one of them.

We need him here, we can offer the best contract (in the prem) and he gets to play along with Rashford, who seems to be a good friend of his and the the number 7 is vacant for him. We can make him a global superstar which I think is something that is appealing to him.

Zorc clarified that it was indeed us, he didn't join because they would not entertain any offers.

The whole "no ucl" thing is an easy thing to blame it on, but Howson (I know) said that Sancho didn't care and was fine to join. It was Dortmund that blocked the move

Manchester United are keen to sign £100m Jadon Sancho next summer, and athey believe they are currently at the front of the queue. @TelegraphDucker reports https://t.co/mi7fp2HzKL

For some reason I can't embed tweets anymore using my phone..

This thread does not have the same muppetry as the big threads like Pogba, Vidal or Sneidjer.

I call BS unless they have already some agreement in place for him. How would they possibly know what he wants and who wants him next summer? Guess its the usual clickbait ....

Why would we want to sign him anyway considering we must buy a forward first, RW and a CM ? With the new striker you'd have Martial, Rashford, James and Sancho all fighting for the LW postion and none of them can play RW...Utter bollocks.

Sancho is a right winger most of the time and James has played good games there too this season.

Sancho is a RW :wenger:

It's Ducker, Woodward's mouthpiece. Very reliable, only thing he's bad at the actual reporting of figures

Favre on Sky about Sancho:
"We need players on the pitch who are focused and ready."

If Man Utd qualify for the CL, it’ll be between them and Chelsea I think.

Dortmund might aswell sell him in January if he isn't focused.

Well it depends a bit whether Sancho is the sole problem or if it's his relationship with the coach. At the moment it looks like Favre will be gone after the winter break, probably even sooner.

Favre is on thin ice for sure.

Well lets hope he keeps his job for the rest of the season, then we can snatch him up in January:devil:

Being serious, why is he throwing him under the buss? Could not he give a vague comment about his team selection?

Sancho is a RW :wenger:

Maybe on paper but for that money he'd be nothing more than a 100 mil. pound Valencia on that Right wing IMO. The same happens with James. He struggles so much trying to be a winger for United and while he does have good crosses all of them are against crap opponents. Against quallity defenders he becomes invisible on the right. But, when Ole changes him to left he shines as he does for Wales.

Not to mention that Sancho also seem to be played far more or exclusively on the Left both at City and England youth teams where he also did extremely well. Can't see him replicating what his done at Bundesliga to Premiership if kept at the same position i.e. on the RW.

Also worth noting how many successful RW today are there in England that are right footed and are also quality ?

What a hit that is by Sancho. Almost justifies his showboating in a match his team are losing earlier.

Been Dortmund's best player tonight and only played one half

Why bother with this thread? He ain't coming here when he has his pick of clubs this summer. The guy is going to Madrid because Barca will buy back Neymar. He won't be anywhere near this United team when he walks into better teams. Our board have hopefully given up on him and focused on lesser known players like Olmo because any time we spend on pursuing him will have been time completely wasted. The bright spark is that there are probably 3 players we could get for 120 million that would improve us better than Sancho (who's good but no generational talent) but the problem is that we'll spend it on Rice or Longstaff. Sancho will never be worth spunking our entire transfer funds on even if he would come here. Mbappe is the only one worth that.

Well, that might be the case of why he isnt playing as much. If there is some talks going on and it is getting serious, that could be the reason why the coach critizises him and keeps him on the bench.

Sancho to Real? It is not raining enough in Spain. Believe! :wenger:
Seriously, I think his next club is Bayern or an english club.
Neymar to Barca will be funny to watch (Griezmann gate and so many attacking players).
Mbappé will go for 300-400 mil if not running down his contract.

I think at this present time we need to be concentrating on a top 20+ goals a season striker and a CM. This is where the big money needs to be spent. I also have a feeling he wont want to come to us as we are a long way from winning the big 2 trophies in football. Madrid Barca maybe PSG or Bayern might come calling for him.

He was brilliant when he came on tonight. His passing is so underrated. Great strike for the goal and very unlucky to be denied a second goal by Ter Stegen.

We should be buying him, plus Haaland in January. Totally realistic. With the likes of Garner in midfield, we would be unstoppable.

I’m not sure about that. Dortmund are going to want a fortune and it will scare most clubs off imo.

Not saying Sancho isn’t a top talent but Dortmund will be expecting something similar to the Dembele transfer (which I thought was ridiculous) and it’s certainly proven to be horrible value for money. Not too many clubs will put that money up for Sancho.

Sounds like a Woody masterclass in the process of happening
